If properly maintained, your Danby Maitre D will give you many years of trouble free operation. To avoid difficulties, read instructions completely before starting. This manual contains information for the operation of your Danby Maitre D. For easy reference, you want to attach a copy of your sales receipt to this page. Note the following information provided. 5 SET FONCTIONNEMENT INSTALLATION Mise sous tension/hors tension de votre refroidisseur à vin Pour mettre votre refroidisseur à vin en marche, appuyez sur la touche SET et maintenez-la enfoncée. Répétez pour éteindre l'appareil. Symboles de l'acl Refroidissement Ce symbole signifie que l'appareil diminue la température actuelle pour atteindre la température choisie. Réchauffement Ce symbole signifie que l'appareil augmente la température actuelle pour atteindre la température choisie. Celsius et Fahrenheit C signifie degrés Celsius et F signifie degrés Fahrenheit. Lorsque vous ne refroidissez qu'une seule bouteille, placez-la toujours dans le compartiment à vin gauche (à votre gauche lorsque vous faites face au refroidisseur à vin), tel qu'illustré. Réglage de la température Pour augmenter la température, appuyez sur la touche UP et maintenez-la enfoncée jusqu'à ce que la température désirée soit affichée. REMARQUE : L'ACL affiche la température désirée en clignotant. Appuyez sur la touche UP ou DOWN pour modifier la température désirée. Après quelques secondes, la température choisie cesse de clignoter et l'acl affiche à nouveau la température réelle du refroidisseur à vin. Pour diminuer la température, appuyez sur la touche DOWN et maintenez-la enfoncée jusqu'à ce que la température désirée soit atteinte. 9 Pour passer de C (Celsius) à F (Fahrenheit), appuyez une fois sur la touche SET et une fois sur la touche DOWN ( F clignotera un instant avant d'arrêter) Pour passer de F (Fahrenheit) à C (Celsius), appuyez une fois sur la touche SET et une fois sur la touche DOWN ( C clignotera un instant avant d'arrêter) Refroidissement continu (CO) «CO» est la fonction de refroidissement continu et abaisse la température à 0 C ou 32 F (ou plus basse, si la température ambiante le permet), le plus rapidement possible. Pour lancer la fonction CO : 1. Changer entre Celsius et Fahrenheit Appuyez sur la touche DOWN jusqu'à ce que «CO» s'affiche. REMARQUE : L'appareil abaissera la température au niveau le plus froid possible. 2. Occasionnellement, vérifiez votre refroidisseur à vin jusqu'à ce qu'il atteigne ou soit près d'atteindre la température désirée. 3. Changez à présent la température de «CO» pour la température désirée pour arrêter la fonction de refroidissement continu et pour maintenir la température du vin. Modifier l'éclairage de l'acl L'éclairage ACL peut être toujours en fonction ou toujours hors fonction, ou encore fonctionner brièvement lorsqu'une touche est enfoncée (paramètre réglé en usine). REMARQUE : Vous devrez appuyer deux fois sur la touche SET. N'appuyez pas trop rapidement. Appuyez sur la touche SET une fois et attendez une seconde avant d'appuyer à nouveau sur la touche. 1. Appuyez sur la touche SET deux fois et sur les touches UP et DOWN, jusqu'à ce que «On» soit affiché. 2. Appuyez une fois sur la touche SET pour confirmer votre sélection. Pour mettre l'éclairage de l'acl hors fonction, suivez les instructions ci-dessus en remplacement «On» par «Off» à l'étape 1. Pour rétablir l'éclairage normal de l'acl, suivez les instructions ci-dessus en remplacement «On» par «AU» à l'étape 1. Part Identification 1. LCD Display 6. Air Exhaust 2. SET button 7. DC Power Outlet (Fig.1) SET Installation Instructions As with all appliances, be careful to observe all the SAFETY INFORMATION found on page 2 in this manual before proceeding with the installation of your Wine Chiller. Step 1 After removing your unit from the packaging, you should find: 1. The Wine Chiller 2. The AC Adapter (power cord), displayed in Figure 1 Fig Visually check your Power Cord (the AC Adapter) for damage. If it is in good condition, continue to Step 2 Step 2 Find a safe location to place your Wine Chiller. Now turn your Wine Chiller so that the back-end (rear) of the Wine Chiller is facing you and continue to Step 3 Step 3 Lastly, connect the DC Power Outlet of your AC Adapter s power cord into the DC Power Inlet (see Part Identification). You may now safely connect the wall plug into a wall socket and operate your unit. Enjoy!

6 OPERATION INSTALLATION Turning your Wine Chiller On & Off To turn your Wine Chiller ON, press and hold the SET button Repeat to turn OFF LCD Display Symbols Cooling This symbol means the unit is decreasing the current temperature to meet the set temperature. Warming This symbol means the unit is increasing the current temperature to meet the set temperature. Celsius and Fahrenheit C means degrees Celsius and F means degrees Fahrenheit. Setting the Temperature When cooling a single bottle, always place the bottle in the left Wine Compartment (your left when the Wine Chiller is facing you) as shown. To increase the set temperature, press or hold the UP button until you reach your desired temperature NOTE: The LCD will display the set temperature flashing. Press the UP or DOWN button to change the set temperature. After a few seconds the temperature you have set will stop flashing, and the LCD will again display the current temperature in the Wine Chiller. To decrease the set temperature, press or hold the DOWN button until you reach your desired temperature. Changing between Celsius & Fahrenheit To change from C (Celsius) to F (Fahrenheit), press the SET button once and then press the DOWN button once ( F will flash for a moment then stop) To change from F (Fahrenheit) to C (Celsius), press the SET button once and then press the UP button once ( C will flash for a moment then stop) Setting Continuous Cooling ( CO ) CO is Continuous Cooling Operation and this will bring the temperature down to 0 C / 32 F or lower (if ambient room temperature permits) as quickly as possible. To initiate the CO Operation: 1. Press the DOWN button until CO is displayed. NOTE: The unit will now reduce temperature to the lowest possible point. 2. Occasionally check your Wine Chiller until it is at or near your desired temperature. 3. Now change the temperature from CO and set your desired temperature to stop the Continuous Cooling operation and to maintain the wine s temperature. Changing the LCD Light You can set your LCD display light to be always ON, always OFF, or lit briefly after pressing a button (factory setting). To adjust the light: NOTE: Below you will be asked to press the SET button twice; do not press too quickly. Press SET once then wait one second and then press SET again. 1. Press the SET button twice and then use the UP or DOWN buttons until you see On. 2. Press the SET button once to confirm your choice. To turn the LCD Light OFF, follow above instructions except replace On in step 1 with of To return LCD Light to normal lighting (lit briefly only after a button is pressed), follow above steps except replace On in step 1 with AU Part Identification 1. Après avoir retiré l'appareil de l'emballage, vous devriez trouver : 1. Le refroidisseur à vin 2. Fig. 1 ÉTAPE 1 L'adaptateur AC (cordon d'alimentation), illustré à la figure 1 10 Procédez à une inspection visuelle du cordon d'alimentation (adaptateur AC) pour vous assurer qu'il n'est pas endommagé. S'il est en bon état, poursuivez à l'étape 2. ÉTAPE 2 Repérez un emplacement sécuritaire pour votre refroidisseur à vin. Tournez votre refroidisseur à vin de sorte que l'arrière vous fasse face et poursuivez à l'étape 3. ÉTAPE 3 Enfin, branchez la sortie d'alimentation CC du cordon d'alimentation de votre adaptateur CA dans l'entrée d'alimentation CC (consultez l'identification des pièces) Vous pouvez à présent brancher la fiche dans une prise murale et faire fonctionner votre appareil en toute sécurité. Cet appareil est conçu pour un usage domestique à l intérieur seulement. Ne refroidissez le vin que dans des bouteilles hermétiques. N'utilisez pas cet appareil si son cordon ou sa fiche d'alimentation sont endommagés, s'il ne fonctionne pas correctement ou s'il a été échappé ou endommagé. Ne mettez ou n'ajoutez jamais de glace ou d'eau dans votre refroidisseur à vin. Éteignez toujours votre refroidisseur à vin après chaque utilisation, avant de le nettoyer et avant de le déplacer. Ne placez jamais ce produit près d'une flamme, d'un appareil de cuisson ou de chauffage ou d'une surface chaude (gardez-le à l'abri des sources de chaleur qui ralentissent le procédé de refroidissement). N'installez jamais votre appareil dans un endroit humide ou mouillé ni dans un endroit où il peut être exposé à l'eau (comme près d'une baignoire, d'un évier ou de contenants d'eau). Posez toujours l'appareil sur une surface sèche et nivelée. Ne laissez JAMAIS l'appareil sans surveillance pendant l'utilisation. Utilisez seulement les accessoires fournis avec cet appareil. N'utilisez pas d'autres accessoires. Cet appareil ne contient aucune pièce pouvant être réparée par l'utilisateur et aucune tentative de le réparer ne doit être entreprise. Comme avec tout appareil, une surveillance étroite est nécessaire s'il est utilisé par des enfants. Ne rangez jamais d'aliments périssables dans votre refroidisseur à vin (notamment la viande ou les produits laitiers). Évitez de bloquer ou d'obstruer l'entrée et l'échappement d'air. Adaptateur AC et cordon d'alimentation N'utilisez pas de rallonge avec ce produit. Ne placez jamais le cordon d'alimentation sous un tapis ou une carpette. Ne placez jamais le cordon d'alimentation de sorte qu'il puisse faire trébucher quelqu'un ou s'emmêler. N'épissez pas le cordon d'alimentation. N'utilisez que l'adaptateur AC fourni. S'il est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant et le remplacement installé par un technicien d'entretien qualifié. N'immergez jamais le cordon d'alimentation, la fiche ou l'appareil. Pour débrancher l'alimentation, agrippez la fiche et retirez-la de la prise. Ne retirez pas le cordon d'alimentation en tirant sur le cordon. Utilisez une prise murale exclusive. TERMS OF WARRANTY Parts such as handles, knobs, lids and carafe are warranted for thirty (30) days only from purchase date, with no extensions provided. First Year To obtain a Replacement PostScript Picture (Danby\250 eps) During the first year (1), if any electrical parts of this product are found to be defective, the appliance will be replaced at no charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser. Consumable parts (ie. lights) are not warranted or guaranteed for any length of time. Contact your dealer from whom your unit was purchased. It will be the customer s responsibility to transport the appliance to the original retailer (point of purchase) at their own expense for a replacement. If service is performed or attempted on the unit, or the unit has been used for commercial applications, all obligations of Danby under this warranty shall be at an end.
