4 assonanze 4 ITA L esattezza di ciò che porta naturale bellezza, non fa porre domande sull impegno che ha preceduto il risultato. È il sottinteso stupore che aggiunge valore. Se ne subisce il fascino, se ne è rapiti, e non se ne sa trovare la ragione. Se non in quella sottile certa sensazione che è la cosa giusta per chi la sceglie. Sembra essere questa la condizione con cui si mostrano e con le quali si guardano le produzioni Cassina, che siano eredità dei Maestri o concezioni dei Contemporanei. Forse perché frutto della determinazione che solo l idea perfezionabile riesce a raggiungere, al di là e al di qua, di ogni considerevole sforzo che implica, divenendo il più delle volte, il piacere di una sfida vinta. L insieme partecipa alla definizione finale: lo studio di un incastro, la conformazione di un imbottito, la scelta di un materiale e di un colore, la visualizzazione e l affinamento di un processo, la messa a punto di un macchinario, l impuntura di una cucitura, la ricerca di un solido equilibrio strutturale. Tasselli di un tutto, immaginati da talenti, governati da mani che sanno cosa fare, che per prime plasmano, rifiniscono, maneggiano parti di oggetti destinati al contatto visivo, corporeo e sensoriale. Seguono taciti patti consolidati, che appartengono alla laboriosa fedeltà di una storia, fatta per spostare il tempo, mai per rimpiangere quello passato. In un ordito di memorie, sempre nuove, destinate a ciclicità, né effimere né passeggere, ma avvezze a cogliere i piccoli scarti di umori e dinamiche dello scorrere mutevole degli anni. Attecchiscono in modo sincero e così appaiono e si dipanano, come astrazioni di idee mai astratte. Sono divani, sedie, poltrone, tavoli e tavolini definiti nel loro farsi e disfarsi, nella durata. Riemergono, come lasciti ai posteri o si affermano come testimoni del presente, in un andirivieni che si rinnova in tecnica e stile. Giusti per il luogo che gli si decide, nel caso in cui scoccasse la scintilla e ci si ritrovasse a non domandarsene il perché. Porzia Bergamasco

5 5 ENG DEU FRA Assonance. The intrinsic perfection of a naturally beautiful object does not invite questions about the effort that went into creating it. The added value lies in the understated astonishment it elicits as it both seduces and overwhelms without having to know why. Just that vague conviction that it is the right thing for the right person. All contained in a web of memories that are constantly being reinvented, neither short-lived nor transient but adept at gathering those scraps of humour and energy that mutate over the years. They take root with genuine sincerity, revealing themselves as such, like abstract concepts of ideas that are never abstract. To re-emerge as legacies to future generations or perhaps witnesses to the present in an ever-evolving labyrinth of technique and style. Il semble que ce soit dans cet état d esprit qu il faut montrer et regarder les productions Cassina, qu elles soient un héritage des Maîtres ou qu elles aient été pensées par des Contemporains. Ce ne sont que des parties d un tout, elles sont imaginées par des talents, gouvernées par des mains qui savent ce qu il faut faire et qui sont les premières à modeler, à parachever, à manipuler des parties d objets destinés au contact visuel, corporel et sensoriel. Suivent de tacites accords consolidés, qui appartiennent à la laborieuse fidélité d une histoire, faite pour déplacer le temps, jamais pour regretter ce passé-là. Dans un canevas de mémoires, toujours nouvelles, destinées à être cycliques, ni éphémères ni passagères, mais habituées à capturer les petits écarts d humeurs et dynamiques du temps qui passe continuellement. Elles s enracinent d une manière sincère et elles apparaissent et se dénouent ainsi, comme des abstractions d idées jamais abstraites. Ce sont des canapés, des sièges, des fauteuils, des tables grandes et petites, définis dans leur structure, dans la durée. Ils réapparaissent, comme laissés à la postérité ou s affirment comme des témoins du présent, dans ces allers et retours incessants qu il y a dans la technique et le style. Vico Magistretti, è noto, sceglieva da sé i nomi per i propri oggetti, anche Maralunga porta la visione originaria: quella lingua di roccia, sabbia e vegetazione che si allunga in un mare dai colori sempre cangianti. Con nomi evocativi la palette Panorama nasce per quel divano, ma può mutare vedute di altri imbottiti a catalogo.
