Diplômé de l École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS, Paris), il dirige aux années 1980 l Institut Franco-Américain ; est professeur à l UER des Arts de l Université de Rennes 2, où il dirige la galerie Art et Essai, et est professeur à l École supérieure des Beaux-arts de Quimper. Commissaire de nombreuses expositions, essayiste, éditeur et conférencier, il dirige l École supérieure des Beaux-arts de Valenciennes de 1991 à 2003, y fonda l Aquarium, galerie d art contemporain en 1993 et les éditions de l Aquarium agnostique en 1994, tous les deux qu il anima jusqu en 2004. Il a été directeur de l École nationale supérieure d art de Nancy, de 2004 à, et y fonda la galerie Nancy thermal et les éditions du Parc. Critique et historien de l art, dont les travaux portent souvent sur la photographie, il a été membre de plusieurs commissions françaises et internationales : Association internationale des critiques d art (AICA), Commission nationale d équivalence de diplômes, Comité consultatif des Arts Visuels du Canada, Comité technique du Fonds régional d art contemporain (FRAC) du Nord/Pas de Calais, rapporteur en photographie auprès du Fonds d incitation à la création (FIACRE)... Un fonds d écrits d Antonio Guzmán a été inventorié en par les Archives de la critique d art de Rennes, un centre documentaire spécialisé, dédié et articulé autour de la critique d art. Constitué de presque de l ensemble de ses écrits depuis 1981, ce fonds est désormais ouvert et accessible aux chercheurs pour des travaux d exploitation scientifique et de valorisation (www.archivesdelacritiquedart.org). Il est aujourd hui professeur de méthodologie et de la recherche à l École nationale supérieure d art de Bourges. A Colombian by origin, Antonio Guzmán studied at New York University and the University of Madrid. He graduated from the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS, Paris), and during the 1980s was director of the Franco-American Institute, taught at the Training and Research Unit (UFR) for the Arts at the University of Rennes 2, where he was the director of the gallery Art et Essai, and also taught at the School of Fine Arts in Quimper. He has curated numerous exhibitions, is an essayist, editor and speaker; he directed the School of Fine Arts in Valenciennes from 1991 until 2003, where he founded the contemporary art gallery l Aquarium in 1993 and les éditions de l Aquarium agnostique in 1994, both of which he managed until 2004. He was director of the National School of Fine Art in Nancy, from 2004 until, where he founded the galerie Nancy thermal and les éditions du Parc. An art critic and art historian, whose writings often focus on photography, he has been a member of several French and international committees, including the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), the French National Committee for the Equivalence of Qualifications, the Consulting Committee for the Visual Arts of Canada, the Acquisitions Committee of the Nord/Pas de Calais Contemporary Regional Art Fund (FRAC), photography assesor for the National Creativity Encouragement Fund (FIACRE), amongst others. A collection of Antonio Guzmán s writings was inventoried in by the Archives de la critique d art in Rennes, a specialized documentation centre dedicated to and structured around art criticism. Containing almost all of his writings since 1981, this collection is now open and accessible to researchers for scientific and development purposes (www. archivesdelacritiquedart.org). He is currently professor of methodology and research at the National School of Fine Art in Bourges. Jean-Yves Camus Diplômé en développement culturel et direction de projets (DESS) université Louis Lumière, Lyon 2 et en gestion administration et management (Bachelor de l ICN Business School), Jean-Yves Camus a systématiquement travaillé pour le secteur culturel et plus spécifiquement dans les champs du spectacle vivant et des arts visuels. Son parcours professionnel l a conduit à mettre en place le secteur jeune public du CCAM-Scène Nationale de Vandœuvre, à collaborer au projet Landmarks ou encore à mener une mission d étude sur la Communauté de communes du Briançonnais. Il a par ailleurs accompagné la mise en place de la première édition du festival Souterrain rendezvous annuel proposé par le collectif Materia Prima Art Factory autour du corps dans l imaginaire contemporain et programmé la fête annuelle de l École Nationale Supérieure d Art de Nancy durant quatre éditions : Le sous préfet aux Champs. En 2009, entre autres productions, il a été le régisseur de la présentation aux 8 e Rencontres Chorégraphiques de Carthage (Tunis) de l œuvre scénique interactive Réanimation de Samuel Bianchini, Thierry Fournier et Sylvain Prunenec. Il a également inauguré la galerie Nancy Thermal aux côtés de Antonio Guzmán, dans une dynamique de préfiguration d un centre d art contemporain au cœur du futur campus universitaire ARTEM. Spécialisé en accompagnement opérationnel de projets, en conseil à l image et en régie, Jean-Yves Camus est rompu à la prise de vue photographique en milieux industriel et naturel. Depuis 1990, il expose régulièrement ses travaux en France et à l étranger (le Centre Culturel Français d Essen en 1995, la Fundaçao Calouste Gulbekian de Lisbonne en 1997, la galerie Simultania de Strasbourg en 2002, la galerie les Arches de Metz en, entre autres venues). Il est primé en 1994 par la Fondation EDF Diversiterre / Espace Électra dans le cadre du prix Paysage Européen. Spécialiste du paysage, il a mené nombre de travaux dans le cadre des voyages qu il a effectué, des plaines australes de l Amérique du sud aux plaines boréales de l Europe du Nord. Aujourd hui il continu ses recherches en photographie au travers des problématiques liées à la représentation du territoire. After graduating in cultural development and project management (DESS) from the University Louis Lumière, Lyon 2 and in administration and management (Bachelor s degree from the ICN Business School in Nancy), Jean-Yves Camus has worked systematically in the cultural sector and more specifically in the fields of live performances and the visual arts. During his professional career, he has been called upon to establish the children s theatre section of the CCAM-Scène Nationale de Vandœuvre, to contribute to the Landmarks project and to conduct a study on the city of Briançon and its community of municipalities. He also accompanied the founding of the first Souterrain underground festival an annual underground event created by the Materia Prima Art Factory group, focusing on the body in the imagery of the contemporary world and for four years programmed the annual event at the National School of Fine Art in Nancy, Le Sous-Préfet aux Champs. In 2009, amongst other projects, he was the production manager for the presentation of the interactive scenic piece Rénimation, by Samuel Bianchini, Thierry Fournier and Sylvain Prunenec, presented at the 8 th Choreographic Encounters of Carthage, Tunis. Together with Antonio Guzmán, he inaugurated the Nancy Thermal gallery in a dynamic of prefiguring a contemporary art centre into the heart of the future ARTEM university campus. Specialising in the operational support of projects, image consultancy and production management, Jean-Yves Camus is well versed in photographing the industrial and natural environments. Since 1990, he has regularly exhibited his work in France and abroad (the Centre Culturel Français of Essen en 1995, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation of Lisbon in 1997, the Simultania Gallery of Strasbourg in 2002, the Arches Gallery of Metz in, among other venues). He was awarded the European Landscape prize in 1994 by the Fondation EDF Diversiterre / Espace Électra. As a specialized landscape photographer, he has worked extensively during journeys that have taken him from the Austral plains of South America to the Boreal plains of northern Europe. He is currently continuing his photographic research through an examination of issues connected with the representation of the land.
