AIDE TEXTBOOKS FORMAT «VITALSOURCE» (English Below) Vitalsource est un format de ebook permettant de visualiser vos ouvrages en ligne sur votre navigateur internet, ainsi que sur tablette ou smartphone à l aide de l application «Bookshelf». Les ouvrages en ligne offrent des options avancées telles que le sommaire cliquable, la recherche dans le texte intégral du livre, le surlignage, la prise de notes, l impression ou encore la citation dans un format bibliographique normé. Les ouvrages actuellement concernés par le format Vitalsource sont : - Human Resources Management & Organisational Behavior - Business Environment - Management Accouting - Management Information Systems - Exploring Strategy I. ACCES ET PREMIERE CONNEXION L accès aux textbooks se fait depuis MyICN, sur la page «Textbooks». 1. Connectez-vous à MyICN avec vos identifiants. 2. Rendez-vous sur la page «Textbooks» : Vous ne verrez apparaître que les textbooks utiles pour votre année d études. 3. Cliquez sur le textbook de votre choix. La visualisation sur Vitalsource apparaît. 4. Une adresse mail vous est demandée : il est recommandé de saisir votre adresse personnelle, cela vous garantira de pouvoir télécharger l ouvrage sur l application Vitalsource, et de conserver l accès une fois que vos comptes MyICN ne seront plus actifs à la fin de vos études. Vous pouvez tout de même utiliser votre adresse MyICN si cela est votre choix. Remplissez ensuite le formulaire et indiquez un mot de passe de votre choix il peut être différent de celui de MyICN. 1
Cette étape peut être passée, mais elle vous sera utile pour utiliser l application «Bookshelf». Vous pourrez toujours créer ce compte plus tard en cliquant sur le bouton «Menu» started», puis «Get II. APPLICATION «BOOKSHELF» VITALSOURCE, TELECHARGEMENT ET ACCES HORS LIGNE L application «Bookshelf» de Vitalsource vous permet de télécharger vos ouvrages pour y accéder hors ligne, de façon perpétuelle, même à la fin de vos études à ICN Business School. Vous pouvez lier l application à 2 ordinateurs et 2 appareils mobiles (téléphone ou tablette) à la fois. Pour récupérer vos ouvrages accessibles depuis MyICN sur l application «Bookshelf» : 1. Assurez-vous de bien avoir créé un compte avec une adresse mail et un mot de passe au choix lors de votre premier accès à un textbook, tel que décrit au point I. 4. 2. Téléchargez l application «Bookshelf» par Vitalsource : a. Sur votre mobile depuis l Apple Store, Google Play Store ou équivalent. Vous pouvez également utiliser le navigateur de votre appareil mobile pour vous rendre sur MyICN / Textbooks, puis à l ouverture du textbook de votre choix, Vitalsource vous proposera le téléchargement de l application «Bookshelf» ou la lecture en ligne. b. Sur votre ordinateur depuis Menu ( ) / «Télécharger l application» Puis choisissez dans la liste l application correspondant à votre système d exploitation, et installez-là. 2
3. Une fois l application installée, sur appareil mobile ou sur ordinateur, ouvrez-là. 4. Saisissez votre email et votre mot de passe, les mêmes que vous avez renseignés en vous inscrivant sur Vitalsource comme indiqué au point I.4. 5. L application s ouvre et récupère les ouvrages que vous avez déjà consulté sur MyICN en étant connecté avec vos identifiants Vitalsource. III. HELP FOR TEXTBOOKS «VITALSOURCE» FORMAT Vitalsource is an ebook format enabling visualization of books online, through any internet browser, as well as on mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) with the Bookshelf app. The ebooks offer advanced options such as clickable table of content, full-text research, highlight, notes, print and bibliographic citation. Current books in Vitalsource format are: - Human Resources Management & Organisational Behavior - Business Environment - Management Accouting - Management Information Systems - Exploring Strategy I. ACCESS AND FIRST CONNECTION Access to textbooks is available on MyICN / «Textbooks» page 1. Go to MyICN and log in with your ICN ID. 2. Go to the «Textbooks» page you will only see your dedicated textbooks. 3. Click on the textbook of your choice. The Vitalsource reader opens up. 4. Vitalsource requires an email address: Your personal email is recommended, to guarantee access to the Vitalsource app Bookshelf even after the end of your studies. You can still use your MyICN address if you choose. Feel in the form the following form and enter a password of your choice the password can be different from the MyICN one. 4
This step can be skipped, but creating your account will be useful when using the Bookshelf app. You can always create this account later on: go to Menu, then click Get Started II. «BOOKSHELF» APPLICATION BY VITALSOURCE, DOWNLOAD AND OFFLINE ACCESS The Bookshelf application by Vitalsource allows you to download your books and access them online, even after the end of your studies at ICN Business School. You can link the app to 2 computers and 2 mobile devices (phone or tablet) at once. Here is how to get your books from the MyICN to the «Bookshelf» app : 1. Please make sure you have created an account, with an email addresses and a password of your choice during your first consultation of a textbook, as mentioned on point I. 4. 2. Download the «Bookshelf» app by Vitalsource: a. On your mobile device from the Apple Store, Google Play Store or equivalent. You can also use the web browser of your device to go to MyICN / Textbook. Upon opening the book of your choice, Vitalsource will ask you if you want to download the app or read online. b. On your computer, go to Menu ( ) / «Download the App» Then choose the app corresponding to your operating system. 5
6. Once you installed the app, open it. 7. Enter your email and password, the same you chose as instructed on point I.4 above. 8.
