Nous avons développé un système de management des contenues de la formation mobile - mdipseil. Les résultats de projet contribuent au développement de la m- éducation et adressent le déséquilibre entre la disponibilité d'appareils mobiles et le manque d'éducation et la provision de formation sur les appareils de communications sophistiquées qui chaque étudiant et personnes travaillant actives, en Bulgarie et les autres pays d'ue, porte et utilise constamment sauf dans l'éducation. Résumé: Mobile devices are popular and well used by many people within our target groups, but not for learning. With the current rate of development mobile devices will have the capability of delivering high quality, multi-media content at affordable prices within next years. Performance centred approach has been proven to be more effective than the traditional lecture-practice-test (expository inductive) in training higher order skills, for preparing learners for self-learning, improving, adapting for changing jobs. This project applies performancecentered approach in mobile learning management system. Results: Performance-centered Mobile Learning Model (PML Model) Mobile Performance Support System (mpss) presents mlearning as a form of performance support system for educational and training purposes. Modules, courses in mpss - A set of learning resources; description of adaptive scenarios; performance centered assessment methods and criteria for evaluation; experts advices Evaluation plan/strategy and the measurement instruments are aimed at measuring the effect of mpss on knowledge, skills and attitudes of students and trainees. In addition, it is going to assess the attitudes of teachers and trainers towards using mpss as a design and delivery platform for education and training support. Report on the findings of the pedagogical research, data analysis from evaluation and effectiveness of mpss The impact for trainees are derived from providing learners with a job aid in the context of their work: Puts training and performance support where the actual work takes place; Allows new skills or knowledge to be immediately applied; Enables training when it is needed; Allows use of rich media when appropriate. The impact for students from vocational education institutions: Students will have more flexibility and choice in where and when they learn; Students will use the technology in their study that would enhance their readiness for tomorrow s workplace where employers want graduates who know how to use technology for learning and working; Given the trend to lifelong learning, many students are working adults with full- or part-time jobs. Mobility offers them an opportunity to maximize learning time. Description: The overall objective of the project is designing, developing, evaluating and implementing a Mobile Performance-centred Self-directed System for Education and Training (mpss). To this overall objective, the project will work toward achieving the following specific objectives: 1. Building operational definitions and a model of performance-centred learning, performancecentred learning object and self-directed learning in the context of mobile learning. 2. Implementing of the mpss in real educational and training settings 4. Evaluating usability, utility and effectiveness of the mpss The concrete aims and objectives are to contribute to the continued development of mobile learning and to address the imbalance identified above between the availability of mobile devices and the lack of education and training provision on the sophisticated communications devices which every student and actively working person, in Bulgaria and other EU countries, carries and uses constantly except in education. The proposal presents mlearning as a form of performance support system for educational and training purposes. Mobile Performance Support System (mpss) presents mlearning as a form of performance support system for educational and training purposes. It can be divided in two parts: 1) webinterface for tutors to create, upload and edit their courses; 2) application which serves the data in a way for mobile devices to download it fast and display in a convenient way. Modules, courses in mpss - A set of learning resources (background information, examples, procedures, techniques, software); description of adaptive scenarios; performance centered assessment methods and criteria for evaluation; experts advices Evaluation plan/strategy - An evaluation strategy document which defines key terms, stakeholders, evaluation aims and criteria along with the appropriate data collection and analysis techniques. Main research questions: How mobile devices can be used in education/training process? Learning materials development Mobile technology could be used in engineer and science education and training Performance-centred 3

Collaboration among various stakeholders: educators, students/ learners, engineers, computer scientists. What are the educational benefits and gains that can be achieved? The measurement instruments are aimed at measuring the effect of mpss on knowledge, skills and attitudes of students and trainees. In addition, it is going to assess the attitudes of teachers and trainers towards using mpss as a design and delivery platform for education and training support. A scientific report with results from the data analysis and conclusions about the mpss application and usability in reference to the European dimension of lifelong learning, to support the development of innovative ICT-based content, services, pedagogies and practice for lifelong learning by using the latest technological developments with innovative performance-centred approach, to enhance the field of mobile learning and improve its learning content, technical services, pedagogical skills and student practice. Description: Main research questions and hypothesis behind: How mobile devices can be used in education/training process? As a tool to support educators mobile devices allow the recording and maintenance of the lessons take place, the instructional procedures, the type of mentoring and the pedagogical approach, the role of the teacher and students. On the other hand, mobile devices can be used as instructional tools to constructive learning. Mobile devices can be treated as tools that help students execute their tasks and promote the balanced development of their mental abilities by functioning as intellectual partners to the instructor and the learner. Learning materials development Course units can be project-oriented and designed by adding a technological angle in well defined educational tasks. Along the same lines, Colley and Steady (2003) address the need to produce innovative material that maintains a clear perspective on the learning goal. It might not be able to deliver three hour course on a PDA but is it feasible to deliver small learning activities and a number of documents, and exercises. To produce materials and design the content to be appropriate to stimulate and support the learner, knowledge of the technological constraints should exist. Consequently, to produce acceptable learning materials for mobile devices there is a need for educators, engineers, and computer scientists to collaborate and coordinate their actions and activities. Educators should be involved throughout the entire process of designing, developing and implementing mobile technology integration. Students need to have direct input on the process and features being developed. Additionally, educators need to be trained on how to apply mobile devices in their practices. Collaboration among various stakeholders: educators, students/ learners, engineers, computer scientists. What are the educational benefits and gains that can be achieved? Research showed so far that through mobile devices reluctant learners can be motivated, hard-to-reach learners can be reached, various skills can be developed and improved as well as better communication among learners and between learners and instructors can be achieved. We perform an experiment in order to examine the integration of mobile devices and their effects on various parameters such as students learning, performance, and behaviour, before moving further.
