Between Nice and Monaco, overlooking the prestigious peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is one of the most beautiful on the Côte d Azur. Built during the Belle Epoque by Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, it is surrounded by nine magnificent gardens overlooking the sea: the Spanish, Florentine, Stone, Japanese, Exotic, Rose, Provençal, French and Sèvres gardens. The carefully decorated rooms of the Villa are home to the Baroness s rich collections: porcelain from the Manufacture Royale de Sèvres stands side by side with Gobelins tapestries, masterpieces of art and antique furniture. Son architecture est inspirée de celle des palais de la Renaissance italienne. La plupart des piliers roses soutenant les arches sont en marbre de Vérone. Les décors de la voûte de la galerie qui fait le tour du patio sont la copie de ceux d un palais vénitien. Sous sa voûte de 30 mètres de haut, le grand patio offre un cadre majestueux pour vos dîners, concerts, opéras et cocktails. The grand patio was the place where Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild welcomed her visitors and held her receptions. Its architecture is inspired by the Italian Renaissance palaces. Most of the pink columns supporting the arches are made from Verona marble; the decoration on the arches of the gallery surrounding the patio is copied from a Venetian palazzo. Under its 30-metre archway, the grand patio makes a majestic setting for your dinners, concerts, operas and cocktail parties. The garden consists of a high flowerbed in front of the Villa and a large oval flowerbed with a channel and ornamental ponds. The lawns are dotted with flame-topped urns and large Italian Renaissance urns. Palm trees and the scent of agaves add an exotic touch to the scene. Musical fountains spring from the large pond like a grand aquatic ballet that is both unique and original. You can use this space of over more than 10,000 m² on 2 levels for an exclusive cocktail party around the ponds or a dinner under the stars or in a marquee, while enjoying the exceptional panorama.
