Chief Executive Officer Introduction The International School of Gabon Ruban Vert (ERV) in Libreville, Gabon has a vision of Inspiring passion and developing international leadership through learning, to create a better world It offers an outstanding international education for Gabonese children, children from the international community and children in the sub-region. Ecole Ruban Vert aims to be a model of academic rigor and excellence with a solid foundation in general education. The students will be prepared for entry to universities of renown all over the world. The school currently offers IPC (International Primary Curriculum) at Primary School level and IMYC for Middle School level but is preparing for a transition to the IB PYP curriculum. Ruban Vert offers International GCSE and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program to senior students. The school is transitioning to a full immersion bi-lingual (English/ French) language offering at Primary School level. This curriculum will allow the students to form strong foundations for their future, while also encouraging their personal development. The school is currently transitioning into a new state-of-the art facility in Libreville and is preparing to grow significantly over the next 5 years. In order to drive the growth and transformation of the school, it is looking for a CEO with significant experience in international school operations. The CEO will report to the school board, and lead all the functions of the school including Administration, Finance, Admissions and Marketing and Academics. This will include the supervision of the day-to-day running of the school undertaken by the School Director, direction of budgets and financial management and leading the marketing and branding of the school. The post holder, directed by the school s board, will lead the school in the development into a highly-reputable school of excellence and a leading school in Africa. The school will provide a dynamic, creative and stimulating environment, which will foster an atmosphere of learning, allowing the students to develop their talents with a sense of integrity, compassion and respect. Chief Executive Officer Key Responsibilities Manage School Administration Set the medium- and long-term strategic direction of the school in conjunction with the school board and ensure it is realised Lead the recruitment and retention the school management team including Academics, Administration, Admissions & Marketing and University Relations Counselor Lead the management team in executing the school s strategy Manage the Academic direction of the school, by leading the Schools Director (Headmaster) in order to realize the ambitions of the school board Manage the school budgets and finances and ensure the financial health of the school Oversee marketing and growth of the school s enrolment Manage school facilities and Infrastructure (IT/Security/Transport/ Cafeteria/Health & Safety) and monitor vendors and projects related to infrastructure Monitor performance of individual departments and provide guidance and course corrections as necessary Provide mentoring support to the school managment team and participate in their professional development. Ensure development and implementation of standard operating procedures and monitor quality of operating processes Collate performances of key departments and report to the school s board as the sole point of responsibilty Build reputation of the school Represent the schools at conferences and associations Supervise the process of the school gaining accreditation from renowned accreditation agencies Build relationship with external stakeholders (including higher education institutions, government agencies, potential donors) Supervise academic and environmental quality across all areas of the school Ensure the well-being of students and satisfaction of parents is being undertaken Ensure school leadership builds and cultivates meaningful relationships with parents and the local community Promote a culture of collaboration, teamwork and transparency Promote openness and teamwork amongst departments to provide solutions centered around children s personal development Ensure Children s safety Drive the school towards its Mission and Vision Review the school mission and values and ensure the school strives to achieve it Identify and partner with organizations that can drive the school towards the Vision and Mission page 3
Chief Executive Officer Qualifications Required Qualifications A minimum 15 years of experience in senior administrative positions at private or public primary and secondary schools Graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in Education or Educational Administration certification Proven track record as a strong decision-maker and an entrepreneurial mindset Previous experience in an international school with an IB curriculum Experience of working at multiple international curriculum schools Teaching experience and experience of working in Africa a plus Required Skills Fluency in written and spoken French and English Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven leadership and management skills Strong people management skills Ability to recruit and retain quality administrators and faculty leaders Resolve conflicts and build consensus towards common goals page 4

Afin de stimuler la croissance et de poursuivre la transformation de l école, elle est à la recherche d un Directeur général ayant une expérience importante dans le fonctionnement d écoles internationales. Le Directeur général relèvera du Conseil d administration et dirigera tous les services de l école y compris l administration, les finances, les admissions, le marketing et l enseignement. L école offre actuellement le Programme primaire international (IPC) pour les classes de maternelle et de primaire et le Programme d éducation intermédiaire international (IMCY) pour les classes secondaires, mais elle se prépare à effectuer une transition vers le programme de l IB. L École Ruban Vert offre l IGCSE et le Programme du diplôme du Baccalauréat International (IB) aux élèves des classes secondaires supérieures. L école est en train d effectuer une transition vers un programme linguistique bilingue (anglais/français) d immersion totale.
