The volume, variety and complexity of research data require significant efforts to maintain transparency and integrity to the scientific enterprise. How can research and funding policies adapt to this new environment? Science and research data sharing emerge from collaborations that are increasingly trans-national and even global. How can this be supported and taken further? The RDA is proof that and bottom up initiatives are successful and much needed. What measures can be implemented to ensure that there are global initiatives driven by the community? How can policy makers ensure there are intergovernmental exchanges to discuss global interoperability and to look at complex issues such as the longterm sustainability of data and computing infrastructures? There is an opportunity to use e-infrastructures for high-performance computing, high-speed network and research data as "game changer" in supporting Knowledge Infrastructures. How do you think Juncker's investment plan can support this?
