Chaque médicament orphelin ne vise chaque fois qu une population limitée à l intérieur de chaque pays Mais chaque médicament orphelin est très onéreux et le nombre de maladies orphelines est extrêmement élevé Les médicaments orphelins, infiniment plus que tous les autres, ne peuvent se passer de la solidarité cela impose aux firmes concernées d être conscientes : que leurs survies sont liées à la viabilité des systèmes de sécurité sociale que la transparence de leurs demandes doit être supérieure à celles des autres secteurs que l élargissement des pays concernés et donc de la population traitée est dans leur intérêt que l admission sans fin au remboursement de tout médicament orphelin n est pas possible cela impose aux O.A.s, aux partenaires sociaux, et aux autorités, de rechercher des solutions structurelles NOUVELLES, qui devront être probablement impliquer financièrement l Europe. Pourquoi pas une solidarité européenne «pilote» dans le domaine des médicaments orphelins???
