Il a commencé sa carrière au ministère de l Industrie où il a été successivement adjoint au chef de bureau de la coopération avec les pays de l Est, chef de bureau des négociations commerciales multilatérales, puis adjoint au sous- directeur des affaires européennes France. Miriam BALABAN is a graduate in chemistry of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, USA. She is founder of Desalination, the international journal for desalting and purification of water and was Editor- in- Chief from 1966 to In 2009 she launched the monthly journal Desalination and Water Treatment to accommodate the growing flood of papers in the field and enable prompt publication. She is editor and publisher of the Desalination Directory, the international online database in desalination water reuse. She is Secretary General of the European Desalination Society with headquarters in Italy where she programs and organizes courses, conferences and workshops in desalination. She is associated with the desalination program Center for Clean Water and Energy in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Desalination Association and Star of Honor from the president of Italy. She has been adviser to the African Academy of Science in establishing the journal "Discover" and establishing the African Association of Science Editors.

2 Jacques BOUCHARD est Conseiller de l Administrateur Général du CEA et consultant dans le domaine de l énergie. Ingénieur de l Ecole Centrale de Paris, Diplômé de Physique Nucléaire, il a fait toute sa carrière au CEA où il a au cours des deux dernières décennies été en charge des réacteurs nucléaires avant de prendre la Direction des Applications Militaires et finalement de diriger jusqu en 2005 de tout le secteur d activités concernant l énergie nucléaire. Il a participé à la création du forum international Génération IV, vaste collaboration pour le développement des systèmes du futur, dont il a assuré la présidence de 2006 à Il a présidé jusqu en 2012 le Comité Consultatif pour l Energie Nucléaire de l AIEA et est membre de l International Advisory Board des Emirats Arabes Unis. Il intervient en tant que conseil en Europe, au Japon, et aux Etats- Unis. Mostapha BOUSMINA est professeur titulaire en génie chimique de l Université Laval à Québec, Canada et détient la Chaire Sénior de Recherche du Canada sur la Physique des Polymères et les Nanomatériaux. Professeur Bousmina a eu une formation en physique et suite à un diplôme d Ingénieur de l EAHP (France), il a obtenu son Ph.D. à l Université Louis Pasteur de Strasbourg, France en collaboration avec l Université Illinois de Chicago, USA. Il a ensuite effectué un stage Post- doctoral à l École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada. Il est actuellement Directeur du Génie de la Plasturgie à l Université Laval et Éditeur des Amériques du Journal of Polymer Engineering et membre de l Editorial board de Journal of Applied Rheology. Il travaille sur la rhéologie et la mise en œuvre des systèmes polymères hétérophasés et sur les Nanomatériaux et les Nanotechnologies tant sur le plan expérimental que théorique. Il a délivré plusieurs conférences plénières et Keynotes à travers le monde maintenant : Conseiller officiel de la NASA (USA); maintenant: Membre du Bureau de direction du CREPEC. Il agit aussi comme conseiller auprès des sociétés internationales : Total, BASF, IPL, General Motors. Sur le plan social, le Professeur Bousmina a crée au Canada en 2005, le Groupe Canada Maroc pour le Soutien à la Fondation Mohammed V pour la Solidarité qu il préside actuellement. Finalement, il a été nommé par Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI en 2004 membre d Honneur de la Fondation Mohammed V pour la Solidarité. Alain BUCAILLE, 61 ans, diplômé de l Ecole Polytechnique et du Corps des Mines, commence sa carrière par plusieurs postes à l international notamment en Nouvelle- Calédonie, Japon et Australie. Il revient en France dans les années 80 et participe à l instruction de diverses réformes fiscales (Crédit d Impôts Recherche, Taxe Professionnelle, IS). Il est rapporteur de la Commission Recherche & Innovation du 10 ème Plan. Il rejoint ensuite en 1989 le groupe Lafarge en tant que Directeur de filiale, puis Directeur de la recherche et de l Innovation du groupe. En 1997, il devient Directeur Général chez Hermès et assume cette fonction durant quatre années. Il préside à la commission de la lutte contre la contrefaçon du Comité Colbert. Il enseigne de 2000 à 2010 l histoire de la pensée à HEC, puis l avenir de l énergie depuis Il rejoint AREVA en 2001, comme Conseiller auprès de la Présidente du Directoire jusqu en 2005 puis de fin 2005 à début 2011 Directeur de la Recherche et de l Innovation du groupe. Il est redevenu depuis Conseiller auprès du Président du Directoire d AREVA. En janvier 2010 il est nommé professeur à l Imperial

3 College de Londres et publie un rapport disponible sur le net intitulé «A global legal framework to meet the climate change challenges». Deux ans plus tard, l Imperial College conduit une modélisation chiffrée des coûts pour l humanité de la transition énergétique qui sera publiée d ici mars Toutes les compétences énergétiques concernées ont été mobilisées aux fins de rendre cette prospective la plus étayée possible au vu des savoirs disponibles. Mohamed CHAFIKI. Directeur des Etudes et des Prévisions Financières Au Ministère de l Economie et des Finances. M. Chafiki a enseigné à la Faculté de Rabat ainsi que dans d autres établissements d Enseignement Supérieur entre 1977 et De 1998 à 2004, M. Chafiki a intégré le Ministère des Finances et de la Privatisation en tant que Chef du Cabinet du Ministre. Depuis octobre 2004 à ce jour, il occupe le poste de Directeur des Etudes et des Prévisions Financières, au sein du Ministère de l Economie et des Finances. Il est également Consultant auprès d Organismes Internationaux. M. Chafiki est un militant engagé en matière de droits humains en général et en matière de droits des femmes en particulier. Personne clé, ayant toujours appuyé le programme de Budgétisation Sensible au Genre depuis son lancement en Mohamed CHAFIKI.Director of Studies and Financial Forecasts Ministry of finance. Mr. Mohamed Chafiki taught at the Faculty of Rabat as well as in other Higher Education institutions between 1977 and From 1998 to 2004, Mr. Chafiki joined the Ministry of Finance and Privatization as Head of the Minister s Cabinet. Since October 2004, he served as Director of Studies and Financial Forecasts at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. He is also Consultant with international organizations. Mr. Chafiki is very committed to human rights, including women s rights. He is a key person who has strongly supported the Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) program since its inception in Moncef CHEIKH- ROUHOU, économiste tunisien, est membre du Conseil Scientifique de la Fondation Partager le Savoir. Ingénieur diplômé de l Ecole Centrale de Paris, il a également poursuivi des études (MBA puis PhD à l Université de Californie à Berkeley. Professeur à l Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris. A la demande du gouvernement tunisien, il retourne dans son pays en 1981 et remplit de nombreuses fonctions en tant que banquier d Etat. Son père Habib Cheikh- Rouhou avait fondé dès 1951 Assabah un quotidien jouissant d une grande réputation d indépendance. Au décès de son père, en 1994, il reprend la direction de ce groupe de presse. Mais son attachement aux principes de la liberté de la presse le met rapidement en désaccord avec les autorités et il se résout donc à revenir à Paris en 1999 pour reprendre son enseignement à HEC. Depuis septembre 1981, il figure parmi les 17 députés du Parti démocrate progressiste élus à l Assemblée Nationale Constituante tunisienne.

Pascal COLOMBANI: chairman of the board, Valeo; also member of the boards of Alstom, Technip, Energy Solutions, and chairman of the advisory board, A.T.Kearney Paris. Dr Colombani has been chairman and CEO of the French Atomic Commission (CEA), founding chairman of Areva, member of the boards of Electricite de France, British Energy, Rhodia, and of Institut Français du Pétrole. He began his career at CNRS in nuclear physics in France and California, and spent twenty years with Schlumberger, the oilfield service company, in the USA, Europe, and Japan. He is regularly consulted on energy, defense, and high technology topics and has been an advisor to the French government and the European Commission. Philippe COSTERG, an Engineer (graduated from Ecole Polytechnique) and Economist- Statistician by education, joined in 2000 the newly created Renewable Energies Division of Total, as Head of the solar Business and new ventures, including green certificates. He is a co- founder for Total of 3 RESCOs (Rural Electrification Service Companies). Philippe has been a Director of Photovoltech, a Belgian solar cell manufacturer, since 2001; he has also been from 2000 till 2008, a board member of Tenesol, a French solar system and module manufacturer (now part of SUNPOWER). Since 2007, Philippe has been a member of the scientific expert committee of ANR (French National Research Agency) for solar photovoltaic. Philippe COSTERG, Ingénieur, diplômé de l Ecole Polytechnique et Statisticien- Economiste a rejoint en 2000 la Direction Energies Renouvelables de Total, comme chef de la Division Solaire et Affaires Nouvelles et certificats verts. Il est co- fondateur pour Total de 3 SSD (Sociétés de Services Décentralisés) pour l électrification rurale. Philippe est administrateur depuis 2001 de Photovoltech, une société belge de cellules solaires. Il a été aussi, de 2000 à 2008 administrateur de Tenesol, un fabricant français de systèmes et de panneaux solaires photovoltaïques (faisant partie maintenant du groupe SunPower), puis depuis 2012 de Sunzil, opérateur solaire dans l outremer. Depuis 2007, Philippe fait partie du Comité d experts scientifiques de l ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche) pour le solaire photovoltaïque

5 A pioneer in the field of e- learning platform and resources, Ahmed DABBAGH has an experience of 18 years in senior technical and academic positions. Currently, Dr. Ahmed Dabbagh is Manager of Technology & Services Development at the UAE Advanced Network for Research and Education Ankabut. His main role is to enhance collaboration between the different Higher Education Institutions over UAE, by using the stat- of- the- art technology to connect and communicate and to create a common sense in research and education, like elearning, elibrary and Grid Computing. Dr. Dabbagh is leading the UAE initiatives in Grid- Cloud Computing and the Certification Authority. Prior to joining Ankabut, Dr. Dabbagh was the Director of the Academic e- Services Department at Ajman University of Science and Technology, UAE. Dr. Dabbagh was working in France & Germany for several years in the domain of micro- controllers and a wide range of micro- processors architectures ranging from 16 bits up to 64 bit with the very known Semiconductors industry like Thomson, STMicroelectronics, Siemens, Motorola, Apart from being the co- author of 2 books, namely: Intellectual Property for Electronic Systems: An essential introduction, IEC2007 and Cognitively Informed Intelligent Interfaces: Systems Design and Development, he is also the holder of 6 International patents (3 European, 2 American and one in Japan). Dr Ahmed Dabbagh has been actively associated with IEEE's Computer Society, VSI and various other organizations. Besides e- learning his other areas of specialization include microelectronics, telecommunications and many more. Dr. Dabbagh gained a Master of Science D.E.A. in Images and Signal Processing from the University of Rennes in 1991 and a PhD in Telecommunications from the University of Rennes, France, in Philippe DELLEUR. Florencia DEVOTO a obtenu un master en administration publique et développement international (MPA/ID) à la Kennedy School of Government de l Université Harvard et une licence d économie à l Université de Buenos Aires. Elle travaillait auparavant en tant que chargée de recherche à la Banque interaméricaine de développement où elle aidait à évaluer le programme Oportunidades (Progresa). Elle a rejoint Jameel Poverty Action Lab en 2006 et participe actuellement à des évaluations dans les domaines du microcrédit, de l accès à l eau et de l éducation. Manjit DOSANJH is senior staff member, advisor for life sciences and deputy group leader in Knowledge Transfer at CERN. She is also a visiting professor at the University of Surrey, UK. She is actively involved in applying particle physics derived technologies in the field of life sciences. She is an experienced molecular biologist in mechanisms of cancer resulting from environmental exposure including radiation damage. She graduated in biochemistry/chemistry, she holds a PhD in Biochemical Engineering and after her post- doctoral position at MIT, she has held positions at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in California, BEST professor Jackson State University, visiting professor at University of Padua and University of Cagliari. She is the Coordinator of ENLIGHT (European Network for Light ion Hadron Therapy) which is a multidisciplinary platform that aims at bringing together radiooncologists, physicists, biologists and engineers with experience and interest in particle therapy to enhance progress in this newly emerging field. Under the umbrella of ENLIGHT, there are currently four EC- funded projects: PARTNER, ENVISION and ENTERVISION, coordinated by CERN and ULICE, co- ordinated by CNAO. All these projects are directed towards the various aspects of developing, establishing and ptimising new techniques in cancer treatment.

7 Badre EL HIMDY est né en 1960 à Meknès (Maroc) et a obtenu son diplôme d ingénieur agronome en Productions végétales en 1985 à l Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II (IAV), Rabat et son doctorat en Sciences agronomiques en 1993 au même Institut. Recruté en tant qu enseignant chercheur en 1986 à l IAV, Prof. El Himdy a occupé le poste de chef du Département Energie et Agroéquipement ( ), et est membre du centre de formation continue en mécanisation agricole (depuis 2001) et est consultant auprès de la GIZ pour la planification et évaluation des projets de développement. Menachem ELIMELECH is the Roberto Goizueta Professor at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Yale University. Professor Elimelech received his Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University in 1989 in Environmental Engineering. His research interests include (i) membrane- based processes for energy- efficient desalination and wastewater reuse, (ii) sustainable production of water and energy generation with engineered osmosis, (iii) environmental applications and implications of nanomaterials, and (iv) water and sanitation in developing countries. Professor Elimelech was elected to the United States National Academy of Engineering in 2006 and was awarded the Clarke Prize for Excellence in water research in John ELLIS is a theoretical physicist who works closely with experiments, suggesting, predicting and analyzing measurements. He has been associated with CERN for many years. In particular, he has been involved with the LHC and its experimental programme since its inception, and is currently researching on the Higgs boson. He has for many years also been active in opening CERN to scientists from many countries around the world that are developing their activities in fundamental physics research, notably those in the Middle East and Africa. He is now Clerk Maxwell Professor of Theoretical Physics at King's College London. Lionel GBAGUIDI est un épidémiologiste vétérinaire. Praticien privé et consultant pour la FAO, l USAID, il travaille depuis 2003 sur les filières agricoles et sur le contrôle des maladies animales transfrontalières et zoonotiques. Il appuie les groupements de producteurs agricoles dans les actions de communication et de mise en marché des produits. Il est titulaire d un Master en Epidémiologie de l Institut de Médecine Tropicale d Anvers (Belgique), d un Doctorat en Médecine vétérinaire de l ENMV de Sidi Thabet (Tunisie), d un DESS en Toxicologie de la Faculté de Médecine de Tunis et d un CES en pathologie aviaire de l ENV d Alfort (France).

8 Lionel GBAGUIDI is a veterinary epidemiologist. Private practitioner and consultant for FAO and USAID, he is working in West Africa since 2003 on agricultural value chains and on the control of Transboundary Animal Diseases. He also provides technical assistance to producers associations in their communications activities. He holds an MSc in epidemiology (Data collection and analysis) from Institute of Tropical Medicine of Antwerp (Belgium), a DVM from Tunisia National Veterinary School, a Master in Toxicology from Tunis Medical School and a graduate certificate in avian pathology from French National veterinary school of Alfort. Professeur des Universités, Directeur National des Formations du Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM), ancien Président de l'université Versailles St- Quentin (UVSQ), ancien directeur de l'institut des Sciences et Techniques Nucléaires (INSTN/CEA). Mohamed GOUIGHRI; I started this year my job as an assistant professor of physics at Ibn- Zohr Science Faculty, University of Agadir. From Casablanca University I prepared my Undergraduate and graduate studies in physics and computing. Since 2007 I joined the ATLAS Moroccan group at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), after several years of continuous work at the ISPHEE laboratory in Casablanca, LPSC laboratory in Grenoble, KTH institute in Stockholm and the CERN in Swiss I succeeded to defended my PhD in January 2012 which was on two important topics in high energy physic. In 2013, I was selected as a member at the Global Young Academy. Hany HELAL is currently Professor of Rock Mechanics and Engineering Geology, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. He is the former Minister of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research, January February 2011 and former President of Senghor University, March June He became Secretary General of the Education Development Fund, Egypt in July 2005 till September He worked as the Egyptian Cultural and Scientific Counselor in France, Belgium, Luxemburg and Switzerland, and the Director for Cultural, Educational and Scientific Office in the Egyptian Embassy, Paris, France, from June 1998 till September He was the National TEMPUS Coordinator (EU Higher Education Enhancement program), October 2002 December He acted as UNESCO Consultant / Interim Administrative Director, International Centre for Synchrotron- Light for Experimental Sciences and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME), Jordan, October 2002 till December He was a Program Specialist and National Professional Officer, Earth Sciences, UNESCO Regional Office for Science and Technology for Arab States, September 1993 June 1998.

9 Karim HOUMY est né en 1959 à Casablanca et a obtenu son diplôme d ingénieur agronome en Machinisme agricole en 1985 à l institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II (IAV), Rabat et son doctorat en Sciences agronomiques en 1992 à la Faculté des Sciences Agronomiques de Gembloux, Belgique. Recruté en tant qu enseignant chercheur en 1886 à l IAV, Prof. Houmy a occupé plusieurs postes notamment, chef du Département de machinisme agricole ( ), chef du centre de formation continue en mécanisation agricole ( ) et consultant de la FAO et de l ONUDI pour des expertises relatives à la mécanisation agricole, principalement en Afrique. Erik HOUNGNINOU. Diplômé d un DEA en Énergie et Environnement et plus tard d'un Master Spécialisé en Génie Energétique et Energies Renouvelables, j ai été Assistant d Expert en Génie Electrique. Actuellement, je suis Consultant en Energie et Coordonnateur de projet d électrification de 66 localités rurales en République du Bénin. Je prépare également une Thèse de Doctorat en Physique à l Université d Abomey- Calavi. J ai été également Auteur de plusieurs présentations au cours des conférences et séminaires dans les pays africains et européens. Ahmed KHAOUJA, Ingénieur d État en télécommunications de l École Nationale Supérieure des télécommunications de Paris en 1981 et diplômé du cycle supérieur de gestion de l ISCAE de Casablanca en Depuis 1998 jusqu à aujourd hui il a suivi toutes les grandes réalisations de l ANRT depuis sa création en Enseignant à l INPT à Rabat et où il a contribué entre autres à la création de cycles de formation. Il a participé à plusieurs conférences au niveau national et aussi au niveau international. Actuellement directeur de la concurrence et des opérateurs à L ANRT à Rabat. Robert KLAPISCH, a French physicist, was Director of Research at CERN ( ) and adviser (1989 to1993) to the Director General Carlo Rubbia. He co- authored with Rubbia the proposal for the Energy Amplifier (a new approach at nuclear energy ( ). In 2002, he was appointed by President Chirac to the Committee preparing the Charte de l Environnement that has since become a part of the French Constitution. As President of the French Association for the Advancement of Science (2000 to 2003), he advocated a North- South Scientific Dialogue between scientists from Europe and those from Less Developed countries from the South and East Mediterranean and the African Continent, as a privileged means to avoid the infamous Clash of Civilisations. This led him to set up in 2006 a dedicated Sharing Knowledge Foundation (SKF) < knowledge.org> which he chairs. President Sarkozy promoted him Officier de la Légion d Honneur in 2007.

Yunkap KWANKAM holds the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering, and was elected to the following American honor associations; Eta Kappa Nu (Electrical Engineering), Tau Beta Pi (Engineering) and Sigma Xi (Research). He is CEO of Global ehealth Consultants (GeHCs), Geneva Switzerland, a leading consultancy group on ehealth policy and strategy. He is also Executive Director, International Society for Telemedicine and ehealth. From 2004 through August 2008 he was ehealth Coordinator at WHO, responsible for overall coordination of ehealth work across the Organization. Before joining WHO in 2001, he was Professor and Director, Center for Health Technology, University of Yaounde, Cameroon. Henry MARTY- GAUQUIE, Directeur, Liaison avec les Organisations Internationales non communautaires et du Bureau de représentation du Groupe Banque européenne d'investissement (BEI) à Paris. 1978: après un doctorat en Droit international (Université de Paris X, Nanterre), une spécialisation en Droit européen (Université de Paris I, Panthéon- Sorbonne) et un Diplôme de l'institut de Sciences Politiques de Paris (Sciences- Pô, Paris), il débute sa carrière au service du Premier Ministre français (Raymond Barre) au secteur juridique du S.G.C.I. actuellement S.G.A.E. De 1981 à 1982, Premier Référendaire du Juge français, Fernand Grévisse, à la Cour de Justice des Communautés européennes. De 1982 à 1989, à la Cour des Comptes des Communautés européennes où il exerce successivement les fonctions de jurisconsulte, et de directeur de Cabinet du Président de la Cour ( ). En 1989, rejoint la Banque européenne d'investissement (BEI) où il devient Directeur de la Communication et Porte- parole de la BEI. En octobre 2003, il est nommé Directeur du Bureau du Groupe BEI à Paris et Directeur des liaisons avec les Organisations Internationales non communautaires. M. Marty- Gauquié est également Administrateur du Centre de Marseille pour l Intégration en Méditerranée (CMI). Henry MARTY- GAUQUIÉ, Director, Liaison with non- EU International Organisations and of the Representative Office in Paris of the EIB Group. 1978: with a PhD in International Law (University of Paris X), a specialisation in European Law (University of Paris I) and being graduated from the Institute of Political Sciences of Paris, he begins his career working for the French Prime Minister (Raymond Barre) in the legal department of the General Secretariat of the Interministerial Committee for European Cooperation (S.G.C.I. now S.G.A.E). From 1981 to 1982, he is First Secretary at Law of the French Judge (Fernand Grevisse) at the European Court of Justice. From 1982 to 1989, he works at the European Court of Auditors, first as Legal Advisor and then as the Director of the President s Private Office ( ). In 1989, he joins the European Investment Bank where he is first in charge of the development of the Bank s communication policy and then, in 1995, Director of Communication and spokesman of the EIB. In October 2003, he is appointed Director of the EIB Group Representative Office in Paris and Director of liaison with non EU International Organisations. Samia MELHEM is a lead policy specialist ICT for development. She chairs the edevelopment Community of Practice, and leads ICT unit s knowledge and learning program while coordinating the WBG ICT projects in Africa region. She is an international expert on egovernment, her projects focus on improving Public sector delivery to citizens and businesses; and on creating the enabling environment for societal transformation and governance. Samia contributes to research on egovernment best practices. She led, amongst

11 other, the eprocurement Reference guide, the Gender and ICT toolkit, the ICT Components guide and the Telecoms Regulatory toolkit. One of the egovernment projects she supervised, erwanda, won the Technology in Government Award (TIGA) sponsored by UN and the Government of Finland in June She worked in different regions (Africa, Europe, Asia and MENA); sectors (financial management, public sector reform, education, health, agriculture, innovation) and in more than forty countries. Sami MOULEY est Professeur d économie et de finance internationale à l université de Tunis et ancien chief economist du centre de recherches et d études financières et monétaires auprès de la Banque Centrale de Tunisie (BCT). Actuellement membre ès qualité du comité de politique monétaire BCT, ses domaines d expertise englobent les questions de stratégies bancaires, de central banking, de politiques monétaires et de dispositifs de change. Il enseigne la macroéconomie monétaire et financière internationale et la finance de marchés. Docteur en finance internationale de l Université d Aix- Marseille.II, titulaire du diplôme d habilitation à diriger des recherches, il est aussi agrégé post- doctoral en sciences économiques de l Université de Tunis El Manar. Economiste chercheur auprès d organismes internationaux de recherches et consultant senior auprès d institutions financières multilatérales, il est l auteur de plusieurs expertises techniques et rapports de recherche se rapportant aux économies méditerranéennes en général et à l économie tunisienne en particulier. 12 Margaret NGWIRA, a founding Director of UbuntuNet Alliance, is currently Special Projects Coordinator based at the Secretariat in Malawi. A librarian by profession, in 1991 she developed a pre- html Hypertext information system and in 1999 led a team in Namibia designing web based training for environmental information specialists in Southern Africa. She has facilitated content training across Africa and as far afield as Palestine. She was a founder of MALICO, the Malawi Library and Information Consortium and also of MAREN, the Malawi Research and Education Network. She has participated within UbuntuNet Alliance in 5 EU FP7 e- infrastructure projects. Silvia PARIENTE- DAVID is Sr Energy Specialist in the MENA region of the World Bank. She is one of the leaders of the World Bank MENA CSP scale- up program which was granted $750 million from the Clean Technology Fund to accelerate global deployment of the CSP technology and is currently preparing projects to finance CSP plants in Morocco and Tunisia (including the Ouarzazate project). She is also actively involved in the development of the Maghreb common energy market. Prior to joining the World Bank, Dr Pariente- David was a partner in the Energy Practice of PA Consulting. She has over twenty years of experience in managing consulting activities in the fields of energy market analysis and environmental policy assessment. She has directed many multi- client studies and consulting engagements in energy, environment and transportation and specialized in market research, strategic and regulatory analysis, sales forecasting, investment analysis, scenario development and policy analysis. She has extensive experience in developing and using electricity market models to develop electricity price forecasts, to evaluate investment in power plants and to develop operating strategies for power generation portfolios. She has conducted numerous gas market value studies as a basis for price reviews and gas contract renegotiations. She has also assisted several energy companies in formulating their gas and power strategies to adapt to market liberalisation and to expand into new markets. Prior to Hagler Bailly and PA, she was the managing director of DRI/McGraw Hill World Energy Service (now Global Insight) and held various other positions with DRI/McGraw- Hill. 13 Seifallah RANDJBAR- DAEMI is Deputy Director of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy. After receiving a PhD in theoretical physics from Imperial College of London and working at the ICTP and institutes of theoretical physics in Vienna, Bern and Zurich, S. Randjbar- Daemi joined the Center as a permanent scientific staff member in 1988 and became the Head of its High Energy Physics section in 1994 and maintained this position up to S. Randjbar- Daemi has worked on super string theory, higher dimensional theories of gravity and gauge theories. Recently he has been interested in infrared modifications of gravity. Guy Wormser a joué un rôle majeur dans la mise en place en France et en Europe de la grille de calcul pluridisciplinaire EGEE puis EGI qui a permis d'analyser de façon remarquablement efficace l'énorme volume de données produites auprès du LHC mais aussi de servir d'outil nouveau et puissant dans beaucoup d'autres disciplines scientifiques. Guy Wormser s'est aussi beaucoup attaché à promouvoir les réseaux académiques à haut débit, la grille et les technologies apparentées comme le cloud comme outils de choix pour la coopération scientifique et le développement entre le Nord et le Sud.

14 David WARD has worked in energy research for over 25 years, working in technical, socio- economic and policy areas. His background is in technical work developing fusion power, within the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, and he has also worked alongside researchers in other areas of energy to inform scenario models of future energy supply. This has involved collaborations with UK teams developing UK energy models out to 2050 and also EU teams looking at global energy scenarios to David is involved in work with the IEA, including collaborations with the US, Japan, China, India and Korea, and is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies. Richard ZIMMERMANN is a chemistry engineer, PhD in Organic Chemistry (Strasbourg), who spent 15 years working in R&D with the Conventional Pharmaceutical Industry with Beecham (cardiology) then Solvay Pharma (immunology, gastroenterology) before joining in 1998 the Radiopharmaceutical Industry as Director of R&D with CISbio international (Saclay, CEA). He was also in charge of building the European PET/FDG manufacturing network for the CIS/IBA JV. Later he became VP Business Development for IBA Molecular. Since 2012, he works for his own consulting company, Chrysalium, specialized in radiopharmaceuticals industrialization. He is president of Oncidium, a foundation supporting the development of radiotherapeutics. Lionel ZINSOU, citoyen français et béninois, est Président de PAI, société française de Capital-Investissement, depuis juillet Auparavant, il avait été, de 1997 à 2008, Associé-Gérant de la banque d affaires Rothschild et Cie. Lionel Zinsou avait commencé sa carrière dans la fonction publique en tant qu assistant puis maître de conférences en économie (Université de Paris XIII et Ecole Normale Supérieure). Il a été membre du Cabinet du ministre de l Industrie et du Premier ministre. En 1986, il a rejoint Danone dans le secteur privé comme contrôleur de gestion, directeur du développement puis directeur général. Lionel Zinsou est ancien élève de l Ecole Normale Supérieure, de l Institut d Etudes Politiques et de la London School of Economics. Il est agrégé de sciences économiques et sociales. Lionel ZINSOU is CEO of the French Equity firm PAI. Prior to PAI, he has been since 1997 General Partner of Rothschild ( ), the investment bank. Lionel Zinsou started his professional career as an associate Professor of economics at Paris University (Paris XIII and Ecole Normale Supérieure) and a member of the Department of Industry Minister s Office, and the Prime Minister s Office. In 1986 and until 1997 he had joined Danone where he held various positions as Financial Controller, Corporate Development Director and member of the Executive Committee. Lionel Zinsou graduated from Ecole Normale Superieure, Sciences Po and La Sorbonne in history and economics. He is a citizen of France and Benin.
