2 WHY A DASHBOARD? to evaluate management regarding generic ends of the MPA creation to facilitate official reporting and communication In order to look forward (national and regional scale), and be inter-operative with regional datebases

9 Dashboard: 7 chronological steps Selection of the generic ends on which the mpa evaluation will be done. Definition and inventory of the dashboard indicators associated to the generic ends. Assessment and analysis of the monitoring and collecting datas realized in the mpa or next to the mpa, in order to complete the dashboard indicators identified within the 2nd step. Assessment and analysis of the databases, reference tables, software of seizure used (the methodology used) by the mpa manager to secure collected datas to fill the dashboard, identified within the 3rd step Assessment of analysis tools, of the sets of datas processes and automated calculation of the indicators Assessment and analysis of the technical dashboard used by the mpa manager to evaluate management efficiency and to pilot the mpa action plan. Design communication interfaces to target the decision makers and the general public. The national mpa agency support this process

16 Conclusion Pour évaluer correctement les AMP à une échelle donnée il faut: - Un outil simple (mais pas simpliste) et partagé facilitant le travail du gestionnaire - Basé sur des indicateurs pertinents et validés, à 2 niveaux un jeu d indicateurs de moyens (Identité cf. Outil MEDPAN Nord) un jeu d indicateurs de résultats (Etat cf. Outils AAMP) - Des données harmonisées (protocoles harmonisés et partagés) - Un mécanisme de synthèse et rapportage harmonisé
