Voorstelling

Agenda Things are changing.
Things are changing
Things are changing Social media, Social network, Web 2.0 What s new?
Is this a social network?
In the train, you can listen to other people s conversation, like on the web fora. But only from the people seated next to you.
Is this a social media?
In a bar, you can meet new people. But only in the bar and not necessary interested by the same topics.
Is this 2.0?
Even with a flat screen, television is still a mass media with typical one-to-many communication flow.
Is this a blog?
Diaries used to be hidden and personal orientated. Now blogs are public and social orientated.
Can you google this?
The Web allowing to search quickly and globally in a huge number of unclassified information: that s a change!
the social media revolution = listen to other people like in a train, meet other people like in a bar, write ideas like in a notebook, post everything in files that everyone can find with google and share all this while watching the good old television?
Where is the public service?
Hoe gebruikt ik dit nu concreet?
I am a civil servant and I
and I have friends (OK, not that many )
As individuals, we are ambassadors in our social life and on social media People trust us when we talk about federal topics
So the real question is should we be active on social media?
Should we keep silent?
Should we just read and analyse what s happening?
Should we stay hidden behind avatars?
Should we not hide and appear as individuals?
What about Belgium.be?
Official communication (nothing personal)
