Il est possible de nommer 2 ou 3 enquêteurs de police qui poseront des questions à tour de rôle ou au contraire de jouer par petit groupe de 5 personnes 1 enquêteur + 4 personnes jouant 2 suspects. Un officier de police est nommé, les autres membres du groupe sont des suspects, présents sur le lieu du crime. L officier de police reçoit un descriptif des indices (voir annexe 1) et une feuille d enquête (annexe 2) Il doit poser des questions aux suspects pour trouver la seule personne qui a une relation avec les 3 indices. Les suspects doivent répondre en fonction de leur profil (voir annexe 3). Changer d officier de police pour chacune des 3 énigmes.
