There is another North Pole. True North is static and located geographically about 800 miles north of the magnetic pole. Maps and directions usually are based on True North. Magnetic declination is the angle between True North and Magnetic North. MODE RÉGULATEUR DE RYTHME Le mode Régulateur de rythme permet aux utilisateurs de surveiller leur rythme lors des randonnées d'orientation en terrain sauvage, de faire concorder leur rythme de marche et les bips sonores du régulateur de rythme et de surveiller leurs vitesses et distances sur un terrain inconnu. La gamme de réglages varie de 40 à 180 battements par en incréments de 5 battements. MODE BOUSSOLE Cette montre est une boussole numérique qui fournit des directions, des relèvements et la position vis-à-vis du nord magnétique. Attention : La fiabilité des lectures sera compromise lorsque la boussole est utilisée à proximité de champs magnétiques : téléphones mobiles, haut-parleurs, moteurs et appareils électriques, ou à l intérieur de véhicules en marche ou de bâtiments en béton armé. Il existe un autre «magnétique pôle Nord» : le nord vrai ou nord géographique, qui est statique et situé géographiquement à environ 1 300 km au nord du pôle magnétique. Les cartes et les directions géographiques sont habituellement basées sur le nord géographique. La déclinaison magnétique représente l angle entre le nord magnétique et le nord vrai. L ampleur de la déclinaison en un point donné dépend de la position de ce point sur le continent. La tourner progressivement en sens antihoraire deux fois. Garder la flèche orientée vers la même direction durant la rotation. FAIRE UN RELÈVEMENT Pour déterminer la direction du déplacement Tourner la montre jusqu à ce que la flèche de navigation pointe dans la direction du déplacement. Presser [COMP/RESET] pour entrer en mode Boussole. La direction de la boussole s affiche dans la 1 re rangée L azimut s affiche dans la 2 e rangée. Le graphique à barres indiquera le nord magnétique. Important : Il faut que la boussole soit PARALLÈLE à l horizon en prenant un relèvement. Sinon, les données de lecture seront inexactes. FAIRE UN RELÈVEMENT INVERSE Cette montre affiche également la direction opposée (180 ) d un relèvement. Un relèvement inverse permet de rebrousser chemin avec précision ou de déterminer la position actuelle sur une carte. Pour déterminer un relèvement inverse En mode Boussole, presser pour basculer entre relèvement avant et relèvement inverse. L icône s affiche pour indiquer un relèvement inverse. La montre retournera automatiquement au relèvement avant après la mise en mode Attente ou en mode Heure actuelle. direction de la boussole azimut VERROUILLAGE D UN RELÈVEMENT Cette montre intègre une fonction de verrouillage de la boussole afin de fixer un relèvement clé. Lorsque s affiche, la lecture du relèvement est inchangeable. Pour verrouiller/déverrouiller la boussole En mode Boussole, presser pour basculer entre verrouiller et déverrouiller.
