Hopefully my translation is accurate. We would like Parsons to address these in the Functional Design report. If you have any questions, please don t hesitate to respond to all. Alternatively we can set up a conference call with Simo if you believe it is necessary. All chemical product pumps are designed for 24 l/s (Actually the strokes are between 70 et 95%) 1. Chlorine 2. Ammonia 3. Pass XL 6 4. Permanganate for the pre 5. Chlorine : Would like to receive chlorine in bulk approximately every 2 months (3000 to 4000 litre container). Will result in purchasing savings, and will stop the need to manipulate one hundred 20 litres of chlorine per month, and more in the summer 2. Ammonia : 1000 L container for a frequency of 4 to 5 days in the summer 3. Polymer to confirm 4. For the ammonia it is possible to use the existing room by enlarging the door; however for the chlorine, there is not enough room in the existing room The capacity of the transfer pumps (high lift and low lift) is 24 l/s Currently, the plant stops (4 filtres) when the backwash pump starts because we use the same pipe to fill the reservoir and to wash the filters by reversing the flow direction The dehumidifier in the filter section has to be replaced soon. It is not large enough for the size of the building in the summer and is currently severely damaged by corrosion. Add a small building over the new wells; In the MOE Licence renewal, the MOE added GUDI to the wells. Refer to the required equipment in the regulations for the new filters and the existing filters. (Example : turbidimeter at the outflow of each filter!, UV!, etc); 1

This will assist you in completing a design that addresses the operator s issues and concerns. Once we have this list, we plan to organize a conference call with SIMO, Nation, Parsons and ourselves to discuss them. Secondly, if federal and provincial grants are obtained, there should be sufficient funding to carry out both the high priority wastewater works and the high priority water works in the first few years of construction. Therefore in order to be ready, we believe it is important that your Detailed Design, due this December, includes the water plant upgrades/expansion and other required water works. This is required for the grant application as well. We can discuss further at our meeting this Thurday. 3 Voici des points à ne pas oublier dans le projet d agrandissement de l usine de traitement d eau. Surement plusieurs de ces points sont déjà inclus dans le nouveau projet. Toutes les pompes de produits chimiques sont conçues pour 24 l/s (Actuellement les strokes sont entre 70 et 95%) 1. Chlore 2. Ammonia 3. Pass XL 6 4. Permanganate pour la pré 5. Polymère Ajouter une pompe pour le dosage de la Post pour le permanganate car dosé sur le clarifier ( Si on ajoute un Kit of clarification, on en aura 3 donc 3 pompes) Réservoir de produit chimique 1. Chlore : Pour recevoir du chlore en vrac avec un autonomie de 2 mois (réservoir entre 3000 à 4000 litres). Économie de coût à l achat du chlore et terminer la manipulation de litres de chlore par mois et plus en été 2. Ammonia : Réservoir de 1000 L pour une autonomie de 4 à 5 jours en été. 3. Actuellement pour l ammonia il est possible d utiliser la salle actuelle en modifiant(élargissant) la porte d entrée tandis que pour le chlore, il n a pas de place dans la salle actuelle La capacité des pompes de transfert (high lift and low lift) est de 24 l/s Actuellement le plan arrête (4 filtres) quand la pompe de backwash démarre car on utilise le même tuyau pour remplir le réservoir et le lavage des filtres en inversant le sens d écoulement Le déshumidificateur dans la section des filtres devra être changé dans un court laps de temps. Ne suffit pas pour la grandeur du bâtiment en été et très endommagé par la corrosion. Avoir un petit bâtiment sur les nouveaux puits; Dans le renouvellement de la licence, le MOE a jouté GUDI aux wells. Voir les équipements requis dans la réglementation pour les nouveaux filtres et les filtres actuels. (Exemple turbidimètre à la sortie de chaque filte!!, UV!!, etc); Valider si le panneau de contrôle actuel peut recevoir des nouveaux points de contrôle. They have completed about 75% of the Functional design now and are working to complete the draft report by June 23 and present it to the Nation on June 26.
