Answer the following questions in French, without copying word for word from the text: 26 Qu est-ce qui explique la chute de l homme? Answer the following questions in French, without copying word for word from the text: 31 Selon le premier paragraphe, qu est-ce que les voyageurs de première classe peuvent faire dans le salon en attendant leur vol? Donnez deux actions. (i)... [1] (ii)... (i)... [1] (ii)...

(i)... [1] (ii)... [1] [10] [Turn over

Answer the following questions in English: 38 What is the forthcoming vote intended to decide? 39 What two things will the participants learn to do, according to the second paragraph? (i)... [1] (ii)... [1] 40 What would the authorities like to do? 41 What happened after the training course stopped in 2003?

13 13 42 Which three things appeal to Stéphanie? (i)... [1] (ii)... [1] (iii)... [1] 43 What is Éric looking forward to doing? 44 Which two things is Éric not looking forward to learning to do? (i)... [1] (ii)... [1] 45 What was the origin of the course? 46 How did the situation change in the 1970s? 47 What is the likely outcome of Sunday s vote? 48 What does the writer suggest should happen, in his final comment? 14 14 Part III: Guided Writing (30 marks) You are advised to spend 45 minutes on this section. Study the Insert, and choose EITHER Question 49(a) OR Question 49(b). Write a response of words in French. Put a cross (X) to indicate which question you have chosen: Question 49(a) OR Question 49(b)
