Caille qui y planta des vignes vers 1540. Située à proximité de la place d Italie, aujourd hui ce quartier contraste avec les tours de béton voisines. Ses nombreux cafés et restaurants la rendent particulièrement appréciée des Parisiens. / This churchless village owes its name not to birds but to a certain Monsieur Caille, who planted vines here around 1540. Near the Place d Italie, the atmosphere in this neighborhood contrasts with the towering apartment buildings nearby. Parisians are quite fond of its many trendy cafés and restaurants.
