UK/10/LLP-LdV/TOI-311 Année: 2010 Type de Projet: Statut: Accroche marketing: Résumé: Description: Projets de transfert d'innovation Clôturé UK-Royaume-Uni Marketing : le projet a pour but de fournir un programme particulier et une méthode flexible d'enseignement susceptible de développer des compétences en formation dans les langues et dans la connaissance des différentes cultures, compte-tenu des contraintes rencontrées dans les petites et moyennes entreprises de l hôtellerie et des loisirs par leurs employés et leurs stagiaires également. De plus, le projet entend apporter une optique de formation innovante et des ressources pour un enseignement impliquant à la fois l apprentissage classique et l'apprentissage en ligne en intégrant une variété d outils et de méthodes d enseignement à un ensemble didactique homogène. This project has successfully addressed the need for a greater understanding of specific linguistic and intercultural requirements as well as organisational culture, especially the learning culture within SMEs at European level. The courses developed provide a distinctive curriculum and a flexible mode of delivery that integrates language (English and German) and intercultural training within the training constraints facing SMEs, their employees/trainees in the Hospitality and Leisure sectors. The project also provides an innovative training model and resources for blended e-learning by flexibly integrating a variety of learning tools and modes into a seamless learning package. A flexible accreditation procedure (CPD certificates) has also been developed that can be easily localised to national contexts. The partnership includes organizations from FE and HE as well as SMEs and associations/ representatives from the target sectors. All the target groups have fully participated in the needs analysis leading to the Mapping Report. They have also been essential in the piloting and dissemination of the project s products. All partners have used extensively networks for dissemination activities, regionally, nationally and internationally. e-talia s outcomes have been successful in providing a greater understanding and awareness of the language and intercultural needs of two very important service sectors in the partner countries. The e-talia courses provide the means to achieve a better skilled industry staff through an innovative training model providing flexibility of delivery and including various learning styles to make it user friendly and motivating. The project also contributes to the competitiveness of the Hospitality and Leisure industries, support employment opportunities and facilitate mobility by providing non-formal learning accreditation based on ECVET main principles. The Literature Review indicated that there is a lack of specific information about language and intercultural competence training needs for the targeted sectors. The survey responses from Germany, Spain and Poland confirm that there is a need for English language training in these countries. In the case of Ireland, there is a recognition that English language training for non- Irish staff would be of value. The overall results indicate that German language training is also necessary in four of the five countries surveyed. The content of the courses is organised in general and specific modules; the latter addressing the needs of Hotels, Bar and Restaurants, Spas and Amusement Parks. The e-talia curricula provide vocational skills based on the current and perceived future need of SMEs working in the target sectors so they will be able to adapt to changes in market and consumer needs and also improve employability as advised by the Advisory Group (Spain). The new curricula and assessment scheme will enable e-talia to support improvements in quality and innovation in vocational education and training systems, institutions and practices. The training materials were developed according to the course curricula involving course duration of approximately 60 learning hours, and using the open source authoring tools selected for the e-learning template. The modular nature of the courses provides flexibility in tailoring training to operational needs as required by SMEs. The products provide employees in the target sectors with the skills they need to improve services and react quickly to changes in markets, technology and consumer needs as well as a certificate (CPD) that will improve their employability.
