Dear Sir/Madam, The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry, ALFI, is pleased to inform you of its Swiss roadshow taking place on: Monday, 30 September ~ Kempinski Hotel Quai du Mont-Blanc 19 1201 Geneva www.kempinski.com Tuesday, 1 October ~ Marriott Hotel Neumuehlequai 42 8001 Zurich www.zurichmarriott.com Note: in Geneva, the plenary sessions will be held in French and in Zurich in German. In both Geneva and Zurich, the roundtable on Responsible Investing and the workshops will be held in English. The roadshow occurs at a watershed moment for the industry, as the long-awaited Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) finally comes into force. AIFMD promises to change the landscape for how firms attract and manage their assets. Expert panelists will outline operational solutions and techniques that will help asset managers and service providers to succeed in the new environment. Luxembourg, being a world leader in cross-border fund distribution, provides global fund management firms with a standard that is recognized and trusted across the globe. The seminars will highlight how the unequalled distribution expertise available in Luxembourg can best be applied to the AIFMD framework. The seminars also feature interactive sessions on the continuing opportunities provided by UCITS. The UCITS brand is today recognised worldwide, and UCITS are the only truly globally-distributed investment fund products. As a result, more and more asset managers are establishing UCITS funds in order to implement their global distribution strategies. Luxembourg, with altogether 2,565 billion euros (at 30 th April 2013) in net assets under management, has been a leader in the UCITS market for more than 20 years now and its endeavour is to repeat this success in the alternatives sphere as well. The programmes will also include: A roundtable on Responsible Investing Interactive workshop sessions on hedge funds, private equity and infrastructure funds and real estate funds Expert speakers and panellists have been drawn from the Luxembourg and Swiss fund industries for their profile, experience and know-how. The seminars are free of charge to fund professionals and include a complementary buffet lunch. The full programmes can be found on the following pages and also at: www.alfi.lu (events section). To register, please refer to the personalised registration links in the email or click here (www.alfi.lu upcoming events section). We look forward to welcoming you. Yours sincerely, Camille Thommes, Director General, ALFI
