Comparative and superlative. Adjectives and adverbs can be used to compare things or people with each other: John is small Paul is smaller Henry is the smallest. You're using the COMPARATIVE when you say: plus que moins que aussi que more... (than) less... (than) as (as). Amélie est plus grande que Danielle (Amélie is taller than Danielle) Ils vont moins vite que moi (They go less quickly than me) Je suis aussi intelligent que Pierre (I am as intelligent as Pierre) You're using the SUPERLATIVE when you say that something is the best, the most beautiful, the tallest or the least expensive. le/ la / les plus... le/ la / les moins the most... the least...
