At that time, we were the pioneer creators of an event presenting innovations in implants and biomaterials that would gather professionals from the whole orthopedics implants industry under one roof. Since then, certain markets such as hip and knee implants have entered the maturity stage of their product life cycle in developed countries. Therefore companies are seeking new sources of growth, developing new products or new materials such as extremities and orthobiologics or entering new geographic markets in the BRICS and the emerging economies. Pressure on prices in the developed countries and the growing constraints of regulations oblige the players on the market to innovate in terms of products and expand into new geographic markets and offer a wider variety of services to hospitals and clinics.
