Languages The Meeting will be conducted in both English and French languages. 3. Opening Session The Opening Session of the Meeting will take place at HÔTEL DES ALMADIES, where subsequent sessions will also be held. 4. Registration In addition to submission of completed forms by , the registration of participants will take place at the site of the meeting on Friday 1 st November 2013 from 08:00 to 09:00 hours.

2 2 5. Weather and Clothing The average minimum temperature in October in Dakar is 24.9 C with a maximum of 30.9 C. The mean total rainfall is 30.1 mm with an average of 4 days of rain. Light clothing is advisable during the meeting period. 6. Procedures for obtaining an entry visa for Senegal Participants are to note that effective 1 July 2013, all applications for entry visas in Senegal will be made online prior to arrival. The website for online visa applications is operational. To complete the application online and make payment for the visa, the applicant should visit and in case of difficulty or for additional information, please contact in Dakar: Tel: (+221) Info line: (+221) (24/7) [email protected] The visa applicant gets the options to be either pre-enrolled online or at the nearest Enrollment Center. If successful, the applicant will receive a confirmation document with a bar code and all relevant information. After a processing time of 48 hours, the applicant can withdraw the visa, either in one of Enrolment Centers or upon arrival at the airport of Dakar based on the Pre-Visa document. Note: To avoid serious difficulties at the Leopold Sédar Senghor International Airport in Dakar, it is STRONGLY recommended that the applicant obtain an entry Visa, before travelling, to the closest enrolment center. At this stage, 18 Enrolment Centers have been created in the following countries: - Africa: South Africa, Cameroon, Gambia, Mauritania; - Europe: Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Russia; - America: USA (Washington, New York) - Asia: China, India Note: For non-listed diplomatic representations, the visa will be issued at the Dakar airport after a successful pre-enrollment online. Visas are not required for nationals from Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS). 7. Health Participants are informed that a valid certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is required. The participants should ensure that they have applied for a valid health insurance for the coverage of any medical care during their staying in Senegal.

3 3 8. Banking service Banks are located not far away from the Airport and the ICAO Regional office and are opened from 07:40 to 12:15 hours and 13:40 to 15:45 hours from Monday to Friday. The basic unit of currency is FCFA. There are coins of 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 250 and 500 FCFA. Notes are issued in denominations of 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 and FCFA. The FCFA exchange rate is 1 Euro ( ) (European currency) for FCFA (~656 FCFA) and 1 USD fluctuates around 500 FCFA. 9. Hotels Participants are requested to make their own hotel reservations. A list of recommended hotels is at Attachment A, and a map to the hôtel is at Attachment B. When making reservation, participants should indicate that they are attending a meeting of ICAO in order to benefit from the UN rate
