2 À qui les stages s adressent-ils? STAGES MÉTHODOLOGIQUES ET LINGUISTIQUES ETÉ 2009 Conscient que la connaissance des langues est un atout essentiel dans la vie professionnelle, le Gouvernement wallon a mis sur pied une série de mesures visant à optimiser le développement de la formation aux langues étrangères. Ceci tant pour les jeunes et les demandeurs d emploi que pour les enseignants. En ce qui concerne les enseignants d anglais, de néerlandais et d allemand, il s agit d organiser chaque année des stages résidentiels dans le but d un perfectionnement linguistique, méthodologique et culturel. En d autres termes, il s agit d optimiser l impact des cours de langues sur les élèves et de les préparer d autant mieux à s épanouir dans un monde pluriculturel et multilingue. Ces séjours combinent des activités linguistiques, méthodologiques et culturelles. Une vingtaine de stages seront organisés en été Ils auront lieu du 6 au 10 juillet, du 13 au 17 juillet, du 27 au 31 juillet et du 24 au 28 août.... Ne tardez pas à vous inscrire Cela va sans dire, ces stages concernent avant tout les enseignants désireux de parfaire leurs cours de langues. Il s agit plus particulièrement: des enseignants de néerlandais, d anglais et d allemand, soit en poste à titre définitif ou à titre temporaire dans l enseignement organisé ou subventionné par la Communauté française ou germanophone. Appartenant à une des quatre catégories suivantes: professeur de langues dans l enseignement primaire ou secondaire, professeur de langues dans l enseignement de promotion sociale, tuteur ou correcteur de l enseignement à distance, formateur en langues au sein d un centre de formation de l IFAPME en Région wallone. Comment les stages sont-ils conçus? Les stages constituent une immersion totale. Toutes les activités du programme se font exclusivement dans la langue visée. Une place importante est donnée à la didactique de la langue (transférabilité des activités vers ses propres élèves) et à la culture (la vie dans la ville, la région, le pays). Quelques stages sont cependant plus orientés vers le développement ou le perfectionnement linguistique. Un accent particulier est mis sur le côté pratique des activités proposées. Celles-ci seront conçues pour être directement transférables ou adaptables pour une utilisation pratique dans les cours de langues. De cette façon, chaque participant prend connaissance de nouveaux moyens pour organiser l interaction dans sa classe de manière dynamique et motivante avec une attention particulière pour les nouvelles technologies et les nouvelles approches méthodologiques. Méthode Ces stages en petits groupes (15 personnes maximum) offrent la possibilité aux enseignants d échanger leurs expériences entre professionnels motivés. Ayant pour objectif d utiliser la langue en tant que moyen de communication, ces stages sont centrés sur des situations d échanges où l accent est mis sur l interactivité et le côté pratique. Les stages étant résidentiels, les participants auront la possibilité d utiliser la langue en dehors du contexte des cours lors d activités culturelles, de rencontres informelles, d échanges avec la famille d accueil (là où c est le cas). Elles s enrichiront de compétences interculturelles et d aspects non verbaux de la communication.

York is located in the heart of Britain and is one of most beautiful and historic cities and the UK s second most important tourist centre, after London. Course outline : Each day will start with a language development session which will provide a model for the methodology that will be explored in the second session. Deze vakgroep is gespecialiseerd in onderwijs, onderzoek en dienstverlening op het vlak van talen en communicatie in een academische en professionele context. Onze klemtoon ligt zowel op praktische taalverwerving als op efficiënte communicatie. In deze stage is voor alle lessen en activiteiten het Nederlands de voertaal. Op die manier krijgen de cursisten tijdens de stage een voltijds taalbad. Er wordt vooral gefocust op een vlotter mondeling taalgebruik door allerlei uitgebreide spreekoefeningen. Hierbij wordt ook aandacht besteed aan de verfijning van de uitspraak. Het opbouwen van voldoende zelfvertrouwen is hierbij belangrijk. Daarnaast wordt er specifiek ingegaan op moeilijkheden die Franstaligen (kunnen) ondervinden bij het gebruik van het Nederlands. Een aantal grammaticale items worden in detail behandeld. Daarnaast staat ook een uitbreiding van de woordenschat op het programma. Clare Language Centre offers a professional approach to training in a warm and friendly the West of Ireland. Last year we trained over 130 teachers on our teacher-training programmes. We encourage our participants to complete a needs analysis questionnaire so that the programme is relevant to all teachers. 9 IRLANDE LIMERICK UNIVERSITY Perfectionnement linguistique pour tout type d enseignant Limerick is a historic city, located just 20 km from Shannon International Airport (SNN) and a gateway to the spectacular scenery of the West of Ireland. UL is a modern University with an international reputation for excellence. Situated on a beautiful, parkland campus, the University of Limerick Language Centre is based in a brand new purpose-built languages building. The UL Language Centre has been running in-service courses for teachers from all over the world since This English Language Development Course is delivered over 5 days and aims to develop both productive and receptive skills, with special attention to listening and speaking, pronunciation skills, linguistic knowledge and socio-linguistic competence. The cultural programme will consist of three afternoon excursions to locations of historic and cultural interest and one cultural event (e.g. theatre, music). Course content The course will consist of seminars and a cultural programme. The course will consist of 24 academic hours, i.e. 50 minutes in duration, (equivalent to 20 x 60 minute hours). IRLANDE PACE INSTITUTE - BRAY Méthodologie générale pour enseignants du primaire PACE Language Institute is an all year round adult only English language school situated in the pretty seaside town of Bray, Co. Wicklow just 35 minutes by local train from Dublin city centre. We provide classes for all levels from elementary to proficiency and we specialise in exam preparation for Cambridge, IELTS, Trinity, TOEIC and TOEFL. The emphasis will be on practical suggestions and student motivation, which will help improve teaching techniques back in the classroom. Teachers compare teaching styles and practices in a variety of situations, and contrast the wide differences of approach found throughout our profession internationally. Course Content : Group sessions with a teacher trainer will cover a selection of the following topics : - how to improve listening skills: selecting materials to motivate students, using listening to provoke discussion, - encouraging effective reading, - using authentic materials and teaching vocabulary: how students record and remember language, teaching phrases and expressions, - encouraging students to speak and dealing with pronunciation: integrating phonology, developing fluency, activities to encourage speaking, - teaching grammar: how to present structure, making grammar interesting, - improving writing skills and how to correct errors - the principles of lesson planning - using a language laboratory - testing your students and exam preparation - VCRs and computers as teaching tools Participants will prepare and present one/two lessons to the other members of their group, and take part in lesson observations. 11 ROYAUME-UNI UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH Nouvelles méthodologies pour enseignants du secondaire supérieur et adultes Language and Methodology in ELT Different Approaches This one-week course for secondary school teachers of English is run by the Institute for Applied Language Studies, a part of the University of Edinburgh and one of the largest university centres for language teaching in the UK. It focuses on practical tasks and techniques which encourage learner involvement, creativity and active learning in the classroom. At the same time, the course is designed to enhance the teachers own language skills and strengthen their ability to communicate and manage the classroom in English. In addition, it aims to update their understanding of recent issues in the social, cultural and political life in UK and Scotland. Het staat bekend vanwege zijn deskundigheid op het gebied van talenonderwijs op maat in 25 moderne talen. Vught Vught is een welvarend dorp op 5km afstand van s-hertogenbosch. Het is omgeven door een prachtige natuur en het staat bekend om zijn monumentale panden en lekkere restaurants. s-hertogenbosch s-hertogenbosch is de hoofdstad van de provincie Noord-Brabant en heet ook wel kortweg Den Bosch. Het historisch stadscentrum heeft de bezoeker veel te bieden: interessante historische gebouwen, kronkelende straatjes, gerestaureerde stadswallen en de Bossche markt. Den Bosch is een stad met sfeer, een excellente keuken en een levendige culturele agenda. Opleiding tbv leraren Nederlands Ons programma bestaat uit 21 uur les in kleine groepen (5 à 8 pers) en 13 uur culturele activiteiten. Doel is uw Nederlands te verbeteren met aandacht voor de 4 vaardigheden met behulp van methodes en technieken die u later in uw eigen lessen kunt gebruiken. Onze hoogopgeleide leraren onderwijzen uitsluitend hun moedertaal. Het verblijf in een gastgezin geeft u de mogelijkheid om de taal te blijven oefenen na de lessen en activiteiten. BELGIQUE LINGUAPOLIS - ANTWERPEN Méthodologie générale pour enseignants du secondaire supérieur et adultes Linguapolis staat voor meer dan 20 jaar expertise in taalonderwijs. Als taalinstituut van de Universiteit Antwerpen doen wij aan onderzoek en ontwikkeling op het vlak van leren, onderwijzen en toetsen van taal en brengen dit ook in onze eigen opleidingen in praktijk. Linguapolis is gespecialiseerd in resultaatgericht nascholen volgens de communicatieve en taakgerichte methode. Zo passen we de vreemdetalendidactiek ook meteen toe in de vormingspraktijk en geven we een directe illustratie van ons motto: al doende leer je. Deelnemers aan onze stages voeren de principes van samenwerkend en zelfontdekkend leren uit. We benaderen de praktijkstage op een ludieke, speelse en creatieve manier via gevarieerde en resultaatgerichte opdrachten. 13 PAYS-BAS TALENACADEMIE NEDERLAND - MAASTRICHT Méthodologie générale pour enseignants du primaire Cursus Nederlands voor leerkrachten uit het primair onderwijs 23 tot en met 28 augustus 2009 in Maastricht. De Talenacademie geeft al sinds bijna 20 jaar nascholingen voor leerkrachten in het primair onderwijs in Wallonië. Kenmerkend voor de opzet van de nascholingen is dat we de didactiek praktijkgericht aan taal- en lesvaardigheid koppelen. U krijgt veel praktische tips en lesmateriaal. Ook de uitwisseling met uw collega s is een belangrijk element in de onze opzet. De belangrijkste doelstelling van de methodologie is creativiteit. U maakt kennis met allerlei technieken om creatief met lesmateriaal of authentiek materiaal om te gaan en daarmee de leerling te motiveren. Andere doelstellingen zijn: - gebruik van speltechnieken om de vreemde taal actief te gebruiken; - kennismaken met alternatieve werkvormen voor het schoolboek; - samenwerking met een Nederlandstalige school ; - beleven van de (alledaagse) Nederlandse cultuur. U werkt in kleine groepen tijdens nascholing aan lesmateriaal voor de eigen klas. De cursus leidt tot een concreet doel: kennismaken met kant-en-klaar lesmateriaal dat leerlingen aanspreekt. U gaat naar huis met een stapeltje lesmateriaal en krijgt van ons na de cursus het materiaal thuis gestuurd dat u hebt gemaakt en wij hebben bewerkt. AUTRICHE ACTILINGUA - WIEN Méthodologie générale ou langue Exceptionnellement, ce stage ne sera pas un stage groupé, vu le nombre limité de demandes pour la langue allemande. Les candidats prioritaires ont donc la possibilité de s inscrire de manière individuelle à Actilingua pour une semaine de cours méthodologiques ou linguistiques. Les dates de début de cours fixées par l école sont le 13, 27 et le 31 juillet Les candidatures doivent nous être adressées ; ensuite, nous préviendrons l école de votre inscription qui reprendra contact avec vous pour les détails pratiques et la facturation. Le cours sélectionné par le FOREM comprend 20 leçons de cours méthodologiques ou 20 leçons de cours de langue allemande. En outre 10 leçons de cours individuel sont prévues. Il y a aussi 5 périodes consacrées à des activités culturelles : visite de Vienne, causeries et vidéos (musique, arts, histoire, littérature, architecture ) et une initiation à la valse viennoise. 14 La procédure avant le stage VADE MECUM ETÉ 2009 La bourse proposée par le Forem pour ces stages représente une aide financière d un montant de maximum. Les conditions de participation : être enseignant de langues germaniques, être en poste à titre définitif ou à titre temporaire dans l enseignement organisé ou subventionné par la Communauté française ou germanophone. appartenir à une des catégories suivantes : - Professeurs de ou en langues dans l enseignement primaire, secondaire ou de promotion sociale, - Tuteurs ou correcteurs à l enseignement à distance, - Formateurs en langue au sein d un centre de formation de l IFAPME en Région wallonne. Les enseignants et formateurs répondant aux conditions de participation ont la possibilité de s inscrire aux stages méthodologiques, en Flandre, en Communauté germanophone ou à l étranger, organisés par le Service Immersion linguistique, en collaboration avec la Communauté française. Les langues visées sont l anglais, le néerlandais et l allemand. Chaque candidat peut participer à un stage par langue enseignée au cours de la durée du Plan Marshall. Toutefois, si le Forem éprouvait des difficultés à constituer les groupes, il serait fait appel aux candidats non prioritaires et ce, dans l ordre de leur inscription. 1. Le candidat nous fait parvenir le document d inscription dûment complété. Les inscriptions pour les stages d été doivent nous parvenir pour le 17 avril Le document d inscription peut vous être envoyé par voie électronique ou postale (adresse ci-dessous) ou par fax ; une inscription en ligne via le site est aussi possible. 2. Lorsque nous aurons le nombre souhaité de participants et que l organisation pourra être confirmée, nous envoyons au candidat un courrier de confirmation d inscription reprenant des précisions relatives au stage. Simultanément, nous entamons la procédure de versement de la première tranche de la bourse, soit un montant de Les inscriptions seront traitées par ordre d arrivée en tenant compte des priorités définies par le Cabinet du Ministre. Lorsque le stage demandé est complet, le candidat sera dirigé vers l un de ses choix secondaires. Au cas où il nous est impossible de satisfaire un candidat, celui-ci sera placé sur une liste d attente. Un stage pourra lui être accordé si un désistement intervient. Ici encore, nous respectons l ordre de priorité, en fonction de la date d arrivée de l inscription. 4. Les coordonnées des participants seront transmises à l école qui facturera le montant du stage au participant. Celui-ci s engage donc à verser à l opérateur de stage le montant demandé, en respectant les exigences administratives et financières propres à l établissement où se déroulera la session. 5. Le participant prend ensuite ses dispositions pour son déplacement vers le lieu du stage (réservation des billets d avion ou de train) et ce, dans des délais lui permettant d obtenir les tarifs les plus avantageux possibles. Les participants utilisant leur propre véhicule bénéficient d un remboursement kilométrique de 0.18 calculé sur base de la distance légale entre leur domicile et le lieu du stage : (un aller retour). 6. Les stages sont généralement d une durée d une semaine (cinq jours ouvrables. L arrivée est généralement prévue le jour précédent le stage (dimanche) et le départ le lendemain du dernier jour de stage (samedi). Des exceptions sont cependant possible, le plus souvent pour les destinations proches (Pays-Bas et Flandre) pour lesquelles l arrivée peut-être prévue le premier jour du stage et le retour le dernier jour en soirée. En fonction des horaires d avion, vous serez peut-être amené à rester sur place jusqu au dimanche. Dans ce cas, nous prendrons en charge la nuit supplémentaire. Veuillez vous assurer des horaires auprès de l école que vous aller fréquenter. Cependant, le participant qui souhaiterait prolonger son séjour pour raisons touristiques peut prendre personnellement les arrangements nécessaires, mais les frais relatifs à une telle prolongation de séjour sont, bien sûr, à sa charge. 7. Les inscriptions se font sur base individuelle. Pour des raisons d organisation, il nous est impossible de tenir compte des demandes de départs groupés. Ceux-ci sont, par ailleurs, découragés afin que des enseignants provenant du même établissement participent à des stages différents et qu ils puissent partager leur expérience ultérieurement. 8. En cas de désistement, le candidat s engage à prévenir, dans les meilleurs délais, le Service Immersion linguistique afin que son remplacement puisse être assuré. Si une avance a déjà été versée au candidat, celui-ci s engage à la reverser au FOREM dans les meilleurs délais (sur le compte émetteur).

15 9. Tout abandon en cours de stage (sauf raison impérieuse et justifiée) ne donnera lieu à aucun remboursement. En outre, l avance sur la bourse déjà versée sera récupérée par le FOREM au moyen d une lettre de créance. 10. Le candidat se met en ordre de mutuelle (Carte Européenne d Assurance Maladie) et prend les assurances voyages nécessaires qu il souhaite. Les stages d immersion ne sont assortis d aucune assurance de la part du FOREM. La procédure après le stage Après le stage, et au maximum un mois après la fin du stage, le participant fait parvenir au Service : Les justificatifs de ses dépenses : - La facture de l école. - Les justificatifs originaux de dépenses de nourriture (pour des repas non compris dans les prestations de l établissement d enseignement). - Les titres de transport, les billets de chemin de fer ou d avion (un aller retour) ainsi que les tickets de bus ou métro pour les déplacements locaux (uniquement durant la période du stage). Au cas où le participant aurait utilisé son propre véhicule, une attestation sur l honneur signée indiquant le nombre de kilomètres parcourus (pour un aller-retour) sera fournie. Les distances officielles peuvent être trouvées sur le site - Les dépenses pour les frais culturels suivants : - Théâtre, cinéma, conférences, spectacle à caractère culturel. - Musées, galeries d art, expositions. - Les dépenses suivantes ne peuvent être prises en compte : achats de livres (même pédagogiques et scolaires), DVD, logiciels etc., dépenses liées à des sorties festives, excursions. Les justificatifs doivent être collés sur des feuilles A4 et classés par rubrique (déplacements, facture de l école, nourriture). Les justificatifs doivent indiquer clairement l objet de la dépense (montants surlignés) et être datés. Faites le total par page de vos dépenses en Euros ou dans la devise du pays (Royaume Uni). Le taux de change sera calculé par le Forem au taux officiel de la date du traitement du dossier. Consultez le site : Une photocopie de l attestation de suivi de cours délivrée par l organisme de formation et prouvant que le participant a bien suivi les cours. Le document d évaluation complété. Le solde de la bourse est alors versé au participant (300 maximum). Remarques importantes : - Il faut compter un mois avant de recevoir le paiement (avance et solde). - Les remboursements couvrent uniquement les frais encourus durant la période des cours et non les dépenses touristiques ayant eu lieu avant ou après la période des cours. - Les souches bancaires pour des retraits d argent à l étranger ne sont pas prises en compte.
