2 Le Conseil scolaire francophone provincial de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador (CSFP) est responsable de l enseignement du français langue maternelle dans la province. Le CSFP regroupe cinq écoles réparties dans la province, desservant environ 390 élèves de la maternelle à la 12 e année. Il s agit de l école des Grands-Vents, à Saint-Jean; de l école Notre- Dame-du-Cap, à Cap Saint-Georges; de l école Sainte-Anne, à La Grand Terre; de l école Boréale, à Happy Valley-Goose Bay; et du Centre éducatif l ENVOL, à Labrador City. Les bureaux administratifs du CSFP se trouvent à Saint-Jean. L élève est au cœur de l enseignement au CSFP. Les activités et les interventions visent le rendement scolaire et de l élève, son épanouissement social et affectif et le développement de son identité culturelle francophone. Au 21 e siècle, les technologies de l information et de la communication occupent une place de plus en plus importante au sein du CSFP, et permettent un enseignement dynamique et stimulant tant en classe que pour les cours à distance. Tout enseignant qui œuvre en salle de classe doit détenir le brevet de l enseignement de Terre- Neuve-et-Labrador. Les enseignants qui se verront offrir un poste au sein du CSFP, et qui n ont pas suivi leur formation universitaire à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, doivent obtenir une reconnaissance de leur diplôme auprès du ministère de l Éducation de la province. Vous trouverez dans les pages suivantes un document explicatif du ministère de l Éducation décrivant les démarches à entreprendre, ainsi que les formulaires (disponibles en anglais seulement) à compléter pour soumettre votre demande de certification. 3 Introduction La loi prévoit que tous les enseignants employés dans les écoles primaires, élémentaires et secondaires de la province doivent détenir un brevet d enseignement de Terre Neuve et Labrador valide. Il existe quatre types de brevet qui correspondent, en termes généraux, à des niveaux croissants de programmes menant à un grade et au nombre d années additionnelles passées à l université, Les brevets sont accordés en fonction des études professionnelles complétées : primaire/élémentaire, secondaire, ou primaire/élémentaire/secondaire. Les brevets ne tiennent pas compte des matières, si bien que leurs détenteurs peuvent enseigner toute matière du niveau de grade pour lequel un brevet leur a été octroyé. Exigences minimales pour l obtention du brevet 1. Tous les candidats à un brevet doivent détenir un diplôme en éducation approuvé de Memorial University of Newfoundland ou d un établissement équivalent, tel que Déterminé par le registraire aux brevets d enseignement. 2. En général, les exigences minimales sur le plan scolaire/professionnel pour l obtention d un brevet d enseignement comprennent un diplôme obtenu après quatre ans d études (subséquents à la 12 e année du programme terre neuvien) avec majeure dans une matière scolaire. Un diplôme en éducation obtenu après quatre ou cinq ans, avec concentration en éducation primaire, élémentaire ou secondaire, peut aussi être accepté. Pour présenter une demande de brevet Aux fins de l évaluation de votre demande de brevet d enseignement, vous devez transmettre les documents suivants à l adresse fournie à la fin du présent document : 1. un formulaire de demande rempli; 2. une photocopie d attestation de citoyenneté canadienne (certificat de naissance ou passeport canadien), ou un certificat ou une carte de citoyenneté canadienne; 3. le formulaire Confidential Disclosure and Criminal Record Check (vérification du casier judiciaire) rempli; 4. une déclaration officielle de statut professionnel de l ensemble des provinces, des états ou des pays où vous détenez ou avec détenu un brevet d enseignement, qui doit être envoyée directement de l autorité compétente au bureau du registraire des brevets d enseignement; 5. des relevés officiels du dossier scolaire envoyés directement de l université ou des universités où vous avez suivi vos études, avec mention de(s) diplôme(s) qui vous ont été attribués (Les copies de l étudiant ou les relevés non officiels ne sont pas admissibles.);

4 6. paiement par un chèque certifié ou un mandat postal à l ordre du Newfoundland Exchequer Account, ou par carte de crédit; 7. des relevés officiels de votre expérience d enseignement, remplis par votre (vos) employeur(s) précédent(s) sur les formulaires fournis par le bureau du registraire des brevets des enseignants, et envoyés directement par le(s) employeur(s); 8. une déclaration de compétence professionnelle de votre directeur d école, si vous avez des antécédents en enseignement; 9. Si vous avez changé de nom, une photocopie du document officiel qui vous a autorisé à le faire. Faut il être résident(e) de Terre Neuve et Labrador? Il ne faut pas être résident(e) de Terre Neuve et Labrador pour obtenir le brevet d enseignement. Les citoyens canadiens qui détiennent le brevet d enseignement d une autre province ou d un territoire du Canada peuvent présenter une demande de brevet d enseignement (selon les modalités expliquées dans la section précédente). Si vous n avez pas la citoyenneté canadienne, il faut présenter un permis de travail valide et le numéro d assurance sociale. Calcul du niveau salarial La rémunération est établie au moyen d une échelle salariale qui correspond au niveau du brevet accordé (niveau 4, 5, 6 ou 7) et au nombre d années d expérience reconnues aux termes des dispositions de la convention collective des enseignants. A Statement of Professional Standing, issued by a Department/Ministry of Education or a College of Teachers for each province, state, or country in which you hold or held a valid Teacher s Certificate, stating that you are in good standing and free to accept employment as a teacher. 8.
