2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung Der kapazitive Niveauschalter überwacht den Füllstand in Behältern. Er erfaßt, ob Füllgut vorhanden ist oder nicht und meldet dies durch ein Schaltsignal. Einstellbar auf das jeweilige Füllgut durch Programmiertaste oder Programmiereingang / Funktionskontrollausgang (fc-output). Einstelltaste LEDs rot, gelb, grün Montage Geräte des Typs KNM30BSA... können Sie in die Behälterwand einbauen. Der Sensor kommt mit dem Füllgut in Kontakt. Geeignet für trockenes Füllgut. Befestigen Sie Geräte des Typs KNM30NSA... außerhalb des Behälters. Der Sensor erfaßt das Füllgut durch die Behälterwand. Geeignet für trockenes Füllgut und Flüssigkeiten. Nur für nichtmetallische Behälter.

3 Elektrischer Anschluß Schalten Sie die Anlage spannungsfrei. Schließen Sie das Gerät nach den Angaben auf dem Typenschild an. Einstellen Leerabgleich Der Sensor wird auf den leeren Behälter abgeglichen. Erfaßt er Füllgut, ändert sich sein Schaltsignal. Die Ein- und Ausschaltschwelle wird automatisch generiert. Die grüne LED blinkt (= Gerät ist im Programmiermodus); Drücken Sie bis die grüne LED blinkt (max. 5s); lassen Sie die Taste los, sobald die LED blinkt.* kurz darauf leuchtet die grüne LED konstant (Gerät ist abgeglichen und im Betriebsmodus). Vollabgleich Für die meisten Anwendungsfälle genügt der Leerabgleich. Sie können aber auch zusätzlich einen Abgleich auf das Füllgut vornehmen (um z. B. eine optimale Betriebsreserve für spezielle Applikationen zu erhalten). 1 2 Drücken Sie die Taste und halten Sie sie fest ( s).* Lassen Sie die Taste los, wenn die grüne LED schneller blinkt. Die grüne LED blinkt zunächst langsam (ca. 1 Hz), nach 5s blinkt sie schneller (ca. 2Hz) (=Gerät ist im Programmiermodus). LEDs gelb und grün leuchten (=Gerät ist abgeglichen und im Betriebsmodus). *Sie können das Gerät auch über Pin 2 (fc-output) abgleichen (Signaldauer = Dauer des Tastendrucks). Typ FPKG: (+U B ) an Pin 2. Typ FNKG: (-U B ) an Pin 2.

4 Die gespeicherten Werte für den Leerabgleich werden durch den Vollabgleich nicht überschrieben. Sie können den Vollabgleich beliebig oft wiederholen. Nach einem erneuten Leerabgleich werden die Schaltschwellen wieder automatisch gesetzt; die zuletzt definierten Werte werden überschrieben. Ist der Abgleich nicht möglich (z. B. Signal Leer und Signal Gefüllt sind annähernd gleich stark), blinkt die rote LED nach dem Einstellvorgang (zusätzlich gibt der Funktionskontrollausgang ein 2-Hz-Signal). Drücken Sie kurz die Einstelltaste (= Bestätigung) und wiederholen Sie den Einstellvorgang. 1 2 Drücken Sie mindestens 10s Drücken Sie mindestens 10s Die grüne LED blinkt zunächst langsam, dann schneller. Nach 10s verlöscht sie, das Gerät ist verriegelt. Nach 10s verlöschen alle LEDs kurzzeitig. Danach ist das Gerät entriegelt und die LEDs zeigen den aktuellen Betriebszustand. Verriegeln / Entriegeln *Sie können das Gerät auch über Pin 2 (fc-output) verriegeln / entriegeln (Signaldauer = Dauer des Tastendrucks). Typ FPKG: (+U B ) an Pin 2. Typ FNKG: (-U B ) an Pin 2.

5 Betrieb Prüfen Sie, ob das Gerät sicher funktioniert. Anzeige durch LEDs und durch Funktionskontrollausgang: LED grün LED gelb Gerät ist betriebsbereit. EIN = Ausgang ist geschaltet. Blinken = Kurzschluß des Schaltausgangs. EIN = Unsicherer Arbeitsbereich: - bei gefülltem Behälter: das Füllgut wird nicht sicher erkannt LED rot - bei leerem Behälter: das Leersignal hat sich seit dem letzten + Abgleich geändert (z. B. durch Schmutzablagerungen). FK-Ausgang Blinken bzw. 2-Hz-Signal des FK-Ausgangs = Fehler beim Einstellen oder Verriegeln / Entriegeln.

6 Function and features The capacitive level switch controls the level in vessels. It detects if target medium is present or not and provides a switched signal. Adjustable to the target medium by means of a programming button or by an electrical signal on the function check output. push button LED s red, yellow, green Installation Units of the type KNM30BSA... should be mounted into the vessel wall. The sensor is in contact with the target medium. Suitable for dry target medium. Units of the type KNM30NSA... should be mounted outside the vessel. The sensor detects the target medium through the vessel wall. Suitable for both dry and liquid target media. Only for non-metallic vessels.

7 Electrical connection Disconnect power before connecting the unit. Connect according to the indications on the type label. Setting With target medium absent The setpoint is adjusted while the vessel is empty. When target medium is detected, the sensor s output switches. The switch-on and switch-off points are automatically generated. LED green flashes (= unit is in the programming mode); Press until the green LED flashes (max. 5s), then release the button.* after a short time the green LED lights (= unit is set and is in the operating mode). With target medium present For most applications setting the sensor while the vessel is empty is sufficient. You can, if you wish, make an additional adjustment with the target medium present (e.g. to obtain an optimum excess gain for special applications). 1 Press the button and keep it pressed ( s).* The green LED flashes slowly (approx. 1 Hz), after approx. 5s it flashes faster (approx. 2 Hz) (= unit is in the programming mode). 2 Now release the button. *You can adjust the setpoint via pin 2 (fc output). (signal length = duration of pressing the button) Type FPKG: (+U B ) to pin 2; type FNKG: (-U B ) to pin 2. The yellow and green LED s are lit (= unit is set and is in the operating mode).

8 The setpoint values made with an empty vessel are not overwritten by automatic setting while the vessel is full. You can update adjustment with the vessel full as often as you wish. (Automatic setting with the vessel full will return the full setting to the factory default.) If adjustment is not possible (e.g. empty signal strength and full signal strength are almost the same), the red LED flashes after setting (in addition the function check output provides a 2Hz signal). Press the button briefly (= acknowledgement) and repeat setting. Locking / Unlocking: 1 2 Press for at least 10s* Press for at least 10s* At first the green LED flashes slowly, then faster. After 10s it goes out. The unit is locked. After 10s all LED s go out for a short time. The unit is unlocked and the LED s indicate the current operating status. *You can also lock/unlock the unit via pin 2 (fc output). (signal length = duration of pressing the button) Type FPKG: (+U B ) to pin 2. Type FNKG: (-U B ) to pin 2.

9 Operation Check whether the unit functions properly. Indication by LED s and by the function check output: LED green LED yellow LED red + fc output unit is ready for operation lit = output is switched flashing = output is short-circuited ON = uncertain range: - when the vessel is full: target medium is not safely detected - when the vessel is empty: the empty signal has changed since the last setpoint adjustment (e.g. due to excessive build-up of deposits). flashing + 2Hz signal of the fc output = error in setting or locking / unlocking.

Le détecteur contrôle la matière en vrac à travers la paroi. Utilisables pour la matière en vrac sèche et les liquides. Uniquement pour des cuves non-métalliques.

11 Raccordement électrique Mettre l installation hors tension avant le raccordement. Raccordement selon les indications de l étiquette. Réglage Réglage «vide» Le détecteur sera réglé sur une cuve vide. Lorsqu il détectera une matière en vrac, il inversera son signal de commutation. Les seuils de commutation sont générés automatiquement. La LED verte clignote (= l appareil est en mode programmation); Appuyer jusqu à ce que la LED verte clignote (max. 5s). Puis relâcher.* peu après la LED verte s allume (= l appareil est réglé et il est en mode fonctionnement). Réglage «plein» Pour la plupart des applications, le réglage «vide» est suffisant. On peut en plus effectuer un réglage sur la matière en vrac (par ex. pour avoir une capacité de réserve optimale pour des applications difficiles). D abord la LED verte clignote lentement (env. 1 Hz), après 5 s, elle clignote 1 2 Appuyer sur le bouton et le maintenir ( s).* Relâcher le bouton lorsque la LED verte clignote plus vite. plus vite (env. 2 Hz) (= l appareil est en mode program.) Les LED jaune et verte sont allumées (= l appareil est réglé et il est en mode fonctionnement). *Il est également possible de régler l appareil à l aide de l entrée de programmation (broche 2, fc output). (longueur du signal = durée de l impulsion sur le bouton) Forme FPKG: (+U B ) à la broche 2; forme FNKG: (-U B ) à la broche 2.

12 Les valeurs du réglage «vide» restent mémorisées lors du réglage «plein». On peut renouveler le réglage «plein» autant de fois que désiré. Après un nouveau réglage «vide», les seuils de commutation sont remis automatiquement aux valeurs initiales et donc remplacent les dernières valeurs définies. Si le réglage n est pas possible (par ex. le signal «vide» et le signal «plein» sont presque de la même sensibilité) la LED rouge clignote après le réglage (en plus, la sortie colmatage envoie un signal 2Hz). Appuyer brièvement sur le bouton-poussoir (= validation) et répéter le réglage. Blocage / déblocage: 1 2 Appuyer pendant au moins 10s.* Appuyer pendant au moins 10s.* D abord la LED verte clignote lentement, ensuite plus vite. Après 10 s, elle s éteint, l appareil est bloqué. Après 10 s, toutes les LED s éteignent brièvement. Puis l appareil est débloqué et les LED indiquent l état de fonctionnement actuel. *Il est également possible de bloquer/débloquer l appareil à l aide de l entrée de programmation (broche 2, fc output). (longueur du signal = durée de l impulsion sur le bouton) Forme FPKG: (+U B ) à la broche 2. Forme FNKG: (-U B ) à la broche 2.

13 Fonctionnement Vérifier le bon fonctionnement de la cellule. Indication par LED et par sortie diagnostique. LED verte LED jaune LED rouge + sortie colmatage l appareil est opérationnel allumée = sortie est commutée clignotante = sortie en état de courts-circuits allumée et active = zone non sûre: - avec la cuve pleine: détection non sûre de la matière en vrac - avec la cuve vide: le signal «vide» a changé depuis le dernier réglage (par ex. par un encrassement) clignotante ou signal 2Hz de la sortie colmatage = erreurs pendant le réglage ou le blocage / déblocage
