1 French 3H Summer Assignments Madame v Essen Summer, 2017 As you are well aware, French 3 is an hors course. In that regard you are required to complete a summer assignment prior to the start of school. Your completed assignment must be submitted the first day of school. Notebook: Bring this with you the first day of school. Create a notebook using a 3-ring binder, used ly for this course. Use sectis label: Grammaire, Vocabulaire, Cultural Include a pocket for handouts. Reorganize all of your notes and handouts from your previous French classes into your notebook. Google Classroom: Join the Google classroom for the French 3 Hors summer assignment class. The code to join the class is: bjjklv. We will have new classes set up when school starts. Duolingo: There is nothing to turn in for this porti of your summer assignment. This is a fun language learning app. I will mitor your progress line. Sign up as a user and designate me as your teacher. You will be asked for your course name, which is French 3H. My is kvessen@jefftwp.org The class name is French 3H Summer. The class code is YHZEMX If you are new to Duolingo, take the placement test. (It doesn t matter where you place or the level that you are at) Your goal is to earn 100 XP (experience points) per week. I will be able to mitor your progress from my account. Many of you will earn much more than 100 XP points per week. o You are respsible to complete 100 points of Duolingo exercises, for 8 weeks. I counted 11 weeks of summer...so that will allow you to "skip" 3 weeks. Each "week" starts Tuesday at 12:01 am and ends Mday at 11:59 pm. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questis. (The 1 st week ends Mday, September 26th the last week ends Mday, September 4 th ). Verbs: You will have a test verbs during the first full week of school. Be prepared. (present, passé composé, imparfait). Use the attached chart as a guide. You do not need to turn use them as a guide or for practice. Your test will be exactly the same as the attached charts. Passé Composé Project: This is due the first day of school. You will find directis attached. This is a fun project. We will begin presenting our projects during the first full week of school. You must use a variety of verbs! You will present this to the class during the first week of school. Be prepared with your script and pictures to present in a small group.
