SON JUVERA Son Juvera is a historical house dating from the 14th century located in Andratx (a municipality in western Mallorca). The firm APM (Architecture Passionately Managed) took charge of the renovation of this abode in cooperation with interior designer Yvonne Hennes (Project by PHYL). The appearance of the whole is both generous and simple, thanks to the natural materials and tone on tone colours. The interior was given a sober treatment. The new elements (such as the window frames in wrought iron) are based on what they could have once looked like. The 690 m² of living floor space comprise the main house and a separate house for guests. All the rooms were designed with bathroom and dressing room. SON JUVERA Son Juvera est une maison historique du XIV e siècle située à Andratx (à l ouest de Mallorque). Le bureau APM (architecture passionately managed) a pris en charge la rénovation de cette demeure en collaboration avec l architecte d intérieur Yvonne Hennes (Project by PHYL). L apparence de l ensemble est généreuse et simple à la fois, grâce aux matériaux naturels et aux couleurs ton sur ton. L intérieur a été traité avec sobriété. Les nouveaux éléments (comme les châssis de fenêtres en fer forgé) se basent sur ce qui aurait pu être autrefois. La surface habitable de 690 m 2 se compose de la maison principale et une maison autonome pour les invités. Toutes les chambres ont été conçues avec salle de bains et dressing. SON JUVERA Son Juvera is een historische woning uit de veertiende eeuw gelegen ten Oosten van Mallorca, in Andratx. Het bureau APM (architecture passionately managed) coördineerde de renovatie van deze woning in samenwerking met interieurarchitecte Yvonne Hennes (Project by PHYL). Het geheel straalt zowel voornaamheid als eenvoud uit, dankzij de natuurlijke materialen en de ton-sur-ton kleuren. Het interieur werd heel sober ingericht. De nieuwe elementen (zoals de ramen in smeedijzer) zijn gebaseerd op zoals het vroeger was. Het totale woonoppervlak van 690 m 2 is samengesteld uit het hoofdgebouw en een apart gastenverblijf. 360 000 m² of grounds play host to a diverse forest (palm trees, olive trees, orchards, etc.) and a spring. In the living room: Original covering in French stone. New windows in wood and wrought iron with a wire screen to preserve the spirit of a finca. The air conditioning system (hot / cold) has been carefully integrated in the architecture. Dans le séjour : le revêtement d origine en pierre de France. Les nouvelles fenêtres en bois et fer forgé avec un grillage afin de garder l esprit de la finca. La climatisation (chaud/froid) a été prudemment intégrée dans l architecture. In het salon: de originele vloer in Franse natuursteen. De nieuwe ramen in smeedijzer met kaders die aan de geest van de finca herinneren. De klimatisering (warm/koud) werd zorgvuldig in de architectuur geïntegreerd. 176 177

The millstone in the living room was laid bare and restored. La meule dans le salon a été déchaussée et restaurée. De molensteen in het salon werd verplaatst en gerestaureerd. 178 179

The entry lock gives access to the Spanish patio covered with river pebbles. It represents the centre of the house and links the main house with the guest area, giving access to the openplan, fitted kitchen with its dining room and living room. Le sas d entrée donne accès au patio espagnol revêtu de galets de rivière. Il représente le centre de la maison et relie la maison principale à la zone des invités, donnant accès à la cuisine américaine avec sa salle à manger et le salon. Het inkomsas leidt naar een Spaanse patio bekleed met rivierkeien. Dit is het centrum van de woning dat het hoofdgebouw verbindt met de gastenzone, de open keuken en de eetkamer annex salon. 180 181

The fitted cupboards in brushed oak were whitewashed. Les armoires encastrées en chêne brossé ont été blanchies à la chaux. De inbouwkasten in geborstelde eiken werden met kalk gebleekt. 182 183
