1 Imogen s Recommendations This is a selection of my favorite wines taken from the list Champagne 52 Vilmart Grande Reserve For years, this was our house Champagne. We were the first to sell this in England. I am not a Champagne fan but this is an exception. Easy drinking. Red Wines 07 France: Blowers Rhône, Wine is Henry Blofeld s most enduring love and this one will bowl you over. 236 France: Château La Tour de By, Médoc, This is an old favourite, which is still good value in comparison to the Big Bordeaux labels. The Queen served this deep, smooth Bordeaux it at a banquet for President Chirac. 71 New Zealand: Marlborough Pinot Noir, Terravin, This is the best of the many New Zealand Pinot Noirs, Delicately fruited, it has won lots of awards. 86 Argentina: Bodega Raffy Malbec Hedera, Run by the Raffy s French family who bought the Mendoza vineyard and persuaded Chateau Pavie s winemaker to join them. 98 Chile: Calicanto, Vina El Principal, Alto Maipo Valley, A stunning wine made by the most prestigious winery in Chile from grapes grown in the highest Vineyard in the Andes. A Bordeaux blend crafted by Ch. Mouton Rothschild s cellar-master. 255 France: Chateau de la Dauphine, Fronsac, Bordeaux, I love claret and this one is smooth and affordable so I drink it all the time! White Wines 47 Australia: Sauvignon Blanc - Sémillon, Margaret River, Flametree, New World wine at its best. I find it impossible to drink just one glass. 204 France: Chasselas Vielles Vignes, Domaine Schoffit, It is so delicious that it seems to drink itself. A love Alsatian wine & this is my long time favourite. 31 New Zealand: Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Terravin, One of the top New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, better than cloudy bay, better value! 29 France: Tanners Bourgogne, Cave de Vire, When I asked Tanners if they had cheaper Chablis, they recommended this. I drink it all the time. Rosé Wines 36 France: Rosé d Anjou, Raymond Morin, Loire, This was on our first wine list in the 1980 s, when we drank gallons of it. I am delighted to find it back in my cellar. N.B Waste Not Want Not: If you order a bottle and don t finish it please take the bottle home. We will save the cork and you will enjoy it even more the next day or before you go to bed.

Chile 98 Calicanto, Viña El Principal, Maipo Andes Valley Memorias, Viña El Principal, Maipo Andes Valley Both these wines, made by the most prestigious winery in Chile, are made from grapes grown in the highest vineyard in the Andes. A Bordeaux blend of Cab Sav, Carmenere, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, blended by the cellar master from Chateau Mouton Rothschild.
