3 MOBILISING FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE WORLD SOCIAL FORUM MARCH 2015 In the framework of the World Social Forum, NGOs, Trade Unions, social, movements will come together to define ways and concrete steps to advance social justice in the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) and worldwide. All the workshops presented to you in this programme give you the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of discussions to take stock in designing alternative policies, in which decent work, social protection for all, human rights, social justice take a leading role. It s up to you to participate and bring solidarity back at the heart of decision making. We count on you to take part in the discussions that are more crucial than ever in Tunisia and the MENA region. This project is funded by The European Union 3

12 DECENT WORK, SOCIAL PROTECTION AND FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA MOBILISING FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE BY STRENGTHENING AND PROMOTING CSOs, SOCIAL MOVEMENTS AND (INDEPENDENT) TRADE UNIONS ROLE IN REFORMS AND DEMOCRATICE CHANGE A four-year project funded by the European Commission led by SOLIDAR, together with 20 members and partners in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Belgium, France, Italy, and Spain. Our objectives - To strengthen and promote CSOs, social movements and (independent) trade union to take a leading role in reforms and democratic changes. - To stimulate the participation of civil society in local, national and EU decision making processes related to European Neighbourhood Policy. This project is funded by The European Union
