2 Introduction As previous conferences, this meeting will aim at promoting a comparative integrative approach of the specific topic discussed. It will use the experience and methodology of social sciences disciplines to provide with a critical analysis of the subject taking into account the relationship between society and new techniques. This will give an opportunity for academic people to present the state of their research. Being opened to Asian-Pacific countries on one hand and to European countries, on the other hand, the conference will specially focus on cultural approaches and on mechanisms which have been set up in the different regional areas to manage with specific risks A l instar des précédentes conférences, cette réunion vise à favoriser une approche intégrative et comparative du sujet retenu. Elle utilisera emploiera la pratique et la méthodologie des sciences sociales pour en présenter une analyse critique tenant compte du rapport entre la société et les nouvelles techniques. Elle sera également l occasion pour que les chercheurs de présenter un état de leurs travaux. Étant ouverte aux pays de la Région Asie-Pacifique commet aux pays européens, cette conférence se concentrera particulièrement sur des approches culturelles et sur les mécanismes mis en place dans ces différentes régions pour contrôler la conjonction de risques multiples et complexes.
