La liste d orthographe hebdomadaire Weekly Spelling Word List The Sight Words make up 50% to 75% of the words used in English books, magazines, etc. The same is true in French. As a writer, it is important that your child is able to correctly spell these words. We will be reviewing words we have been introduced to in previous years, as well as learning words that are commonly used in Grade 3, as a part of our homework. You will be surprised at how many your child already knows! I have included the indefinite article with nouns as well as masculine and feminine forms of adjectives. Later in the year, other elements will be added to reinforce the syntax of the French language. We will also be reviewing one verb conjugation a week. A great way to practice sight words is to say and spell the word. Text to Speech can help your child do this in French. You can use this program free on the Internet or download the free app at the Chrome Web Store. http://tts.softgateon.net 1. Have your child select multiple languages then French (France) and type in the spelling word. 2. Select the convert bar and the word is read aloud. Have your child say the word aloud. 3.
