1.3 PLANNING MY ASSESSMENT Student planning guide (These guidelines correspond to the student checklist in the assessment resource and will help students to ensure that they have prepared adequately for the conversation assessment) My conversation will be about: I have noted below my ideas around these points as this will help me clarify my information, ideas and/or opinions. I may also ask about:,,,,, 1

I have noted below how I would ask these and other related questions. I have noted below language and phrases from CL6 I want to use and I have practised using them in different ways. 2

I can use different words and a range of language to exchange and support relevant information, ideas and/or opinions. I can develop my information, ideas and/or opinions, making recommendations, explaining why, how often, before doing things, after doing things, using counters and comparisons etc. (Useful preparation for this is to think about what you say when you have a conversation in your first language. I must think about what conversations involve when I am discussing books, tv programmes in class and with friends and family) 3

I am able to refer back to things said previously, change the subject, ask for clarification where needed, etc. I have referred to Features of a Conversation for ideas and I have listed below the phrases I want to use I am able to participate in a conversation in a fluent way (Practise conversations with a partner, your teacher, French friends etc. For practice at home, try recording questions and practise a range of responses. Record yourself if possible and play back to listen for what you need to improve on) 4
