3 NOTE FOR RESEARCHERS Around 1978, the Association adopted a new filing procedure. Previously, documents dating from the same period and relating to various aspects of the Association's administration had been filed in large binders. For example, correspondence and documents for the organization of conferences were found in the same binder. After the change, documents were filed in folders using a more specific system. For the organization of conferences, correspondence and documents were filed separately. These two broad subdivisions contain the same types of documents and deal with the same subjects. Both should therefore be consulted for complete information on a given subject. The files belonging to the first subdivisions are filed in the series "Administration Files. Binders". Each binder contained dividers identifying the subjects it contained. The titles of the files in this series are based on the titles of the dividers. Par la suite, les documents ont été classés dans des chemises suivant un classement plus distincte (la correspondance est classée séparément des documents pour l'organisation des colloques). Ces deux grandes subdivisions comprennent les même types de documents et portent sur les même sujets. Il faut donc toujours les consulter toutes les deux pour obtenir des renseignements complets sur un sujet donné. Les dossiersf appartenant à la première subdivision, sont classés dans la série "Dossiers administratifs. Cartables". Chaque cartable était muni de séparateurs donnant des indentifications sur les sujets qui y étaient contenus. Les titres des dossiers de cette série ont été composés d'après ceux des séparateurs.
