2 Information sur le projet Titre: Code Projet: Année: 2008 Type de Projet: Statut: Pays: Accroche marketing: Communicating Science Courses and Manuals for Teachers and Trainers (LLP-LdV- Communicating Science Courses and Manuals for Teachers and Trainers LLP-LdV-TOI-2008-HU-012 Projets de transfert d'innovation En cours HU-Hongrie Notre projet vise à préparer le matériel pour la formation de Master Communication Scientifique en adaptant les meilleures pratiques de trois centres allemands et anglais reconnus au niveau international à l enseignement supérieur hongrois. Le matériel est basé sur les trois domaines de la Communication Scientifique : la pédagogie muséale dans les musées technologiques et scientifiques, le journalisme scientifique et l éducation-médias. Les partenaires de projet slovaques et hongrois développent trois manuels, deux formations d enseignants prêtes à l accréditation nationale, un environnement d apprentissage virtuel comprenant des manuels et d autres matériels (SciComPed Moodle htp://edutech.elte.hu/scicomped) et un portail éducationnel bilingue. Ces produits mélangent les résultats de la communication scientifique de Hongrie et de Slovaquie avec les meilleures pratiques européennes. Résumé: L objectif de ce projet est de réaliser la «Priorité européenne 4: le développement des aptitudes des adultes sur le marché du travail». A cause de la diminution du nombre des cours, les professeurs enseignant les matières scientifiques et les mathématiques doivent être rééduqués tandis que le média scientifique a besoins de médiateurs professionnels. Notre projet conviendra à ces exigences dans deux pays. La communication scientifique contribue au fait que l Union Européenne possède un rôle dirigeant dans le domaine de science et de technologie. A travers des publications, des workshops et le portail, nous viserons à inspirer le développement de la communauté internationale des professeurs et des enseignants, et à motiver les professeurs de sciences à élargir leurs compétences professionnelles et enrichir leurs outils éducationnels avec des aptitudes de média. Notre autre objectif est d aider la réalisation de la «Priorité nationale 1 : le développement des compétences des professeurs et des enseignants» et les introduire aux meilleurs pratiques européennes dans leurs domaines (dans ce cas : dans l enseignement des sciences). Même s ils continuent leur travail en tant que professeurs de science, les formations de communication leur permettent d approfondir leurs aptitudes méthodiques : de devenir capable de la présentation authentique des résultats scientifiques à l aide des technologies de communication et d information. Des cours intéressants et inspirants peuvent avoir un rôle de clé dans la motivation des jeunes pour choisir des professions scientifiques. Description: La communication des résultats scientifiques et des nouveautés technologiques est spécialement importante pour les nouveaux pays-membres de l Union Européenne où les ressources humaines constituent la base du développement économique et du bien-être social. Malgré tout cela, les sondages nationaux démontrent que la popularité des professions liées aux sciences et celles des professeurs décline. Il est indispensable que l opinion publique, surtout la jeunesse, reçoive des informations professionnelles, authentiques, ayant une force motivante sur les nouveautés de science et de technologie. Les professeurs et les enseignants, ainsi que les spécialistes liés à l éducation publique (organisateurs des programmes culturels, employées des centres culturels) peuvent jouer un rôle majeur dans le domaine de la communication scientifique. Les musées scientifiques, les terrains de jeux interactifs, ainsi que le média public contribuent à la naissance de nouvelles générations de professionnels de science et de technologie. Dans ces institutions, comme le reflète les analyses conduits en Slovaquie et en Hongrie, il y a une manque importante du personnel qualifié. Les journaux, les chaînes de télévision, et le média digital cherchent des communicateurs authentiques de science, et les musées ont besoin d 2

Notre initiative a comme objectif de contribuer à la formation des spécialistes de communication scientifique, en utilisant la base de savoir des centres de pédagogie muséal, et des organisations liées à la communication scientifique. 12 Produit 'Handbook: Education In Natural History and Technical Museums ' Titre: Handbook: Education In Natural History and Technical Museums Type de Produit: Matériel d'apprentissage Texte marketing: The first time in the history of the Hungarian museum education a comprehensive handbook have been produced by 41 foreign and Hungarian authors. It provides theoretical and practical information and knowledge on planning, completing and evaluating museum activities which helps the work of school teachers. The handbook is planned to be published in There is no such handbook available either in Hungarian or Slovak languages. Besides serving the course described in R2, this handbook will be a valuable resource for museum educators in Hungarian speaking Central Europe. Description: The manual is the major teaching aid for our newly developed blended learning course see R2. Blended learning methodology for this project means intensive museum practice sessions (workshops and hands-on practice at setting up and realising learning programs at exhibitions preceded / followed by e-mentoring. The manual will contain examples of international best practice in the field. Our experienced partner, the Museum of Natural History in London and our affiliate partner, the Group for Museum Education and our Hungarian partner leading this stream, the Hungarian Museum of Natural History will showcase best projects, feature educational events from European and Hungarian museums, explains up-to-date learning methodology based on case studies of exhibitions and visitor survey results. 13 Produit 'Course program and related teaching aids for the course Education In Natural History and Technical' Titre: Course program and related teaching aids for the course Education In Natural History and Technical Type de Produit: Programme/curriculum Texte marketing: This 60 hours (2x30 hours in modules) training course covers the most important areas of the learning on museum and using the museum as a main resource of school teaching. The course will be submitted for accreditation to the Pedagogical Accreditation Organization. Description: Trained mentors will support collaborative learning groups of 2-4 in- or pre-service teachers who will undergo training in a peer-supported, project oriented setting. Hungarian teacher living in mainland Hungary and in Slovakia will co-operate while acquiring methods of learning in the science museum and mutually discover collections in the two countries. E-portfolio assessment will be employed to evaluate learning results of collaborative groups. E-portfolios will include evidence of their planning, preparing for and executing museum education projects. 14 Produit 'Handbook: Science Journalism On- and Offline ' Titre: Handbook: Science Journalism On- and Offline Type de Produit: Matériel d'apprentissage Texte marketing: The first ever in Hungary a science journalism manual will be compiled and newly written by German and Hungarian journalists. There is no such handbook available either in Hungarian or Slovak languages. Besides serving pre- and in-sevice courses, this handbook will be a valuable resource for science journalists in Hungarian speaking Central Europe. Description: The manual will be based on experiences from German partners. Members of the Department of Knowledge Communication and Science Journalism of Free University Berlin are editors of the only handbook of science journalism available in German and of the first manual of science journalism in German that will be, funded by the Bertelsmann Foundation, published within Parts of these books can be used for a new compilation or can be used as basis for new papers. Members of University of Dortmund, Institute of Journalism will also provide ELTE, the editor of this book, with materials to be adapted / republished to make this resource a basic reading for science communication students as well as in-service teachers in Hungary and Slovakia. This manual made available in Slovak also may be used all over Slovakia where the introduction of media education is one of the goals for the near future. Description: The manual synthesises results of work of the project team in the fields of museum education and science journalism and compiles a unique science media textbook for future teachers. It will present an overview of major areas in media education including traditional and new media, with special regard to science and culture journalism. Problems of the role of media in museums and presenting museums in the media will also be tackled. Description: The portal will be designed according to didactic principles elaborated through evaluations of the European learning resource Exchange in the Calibrate project (where PA 0 was head of evaluation). Agent based, personalised search will facilitate individualised listing of content. Peer evaluation facilities of items will orientate users and caters for continuous social monitoring. Whiteboard and forum functions increase interactivity and enable swift transfer of information on upcoming publications and events. Description: Although the course will be offered in the form of a face to face university course, a supplementary virtual learning environment (in Moodle, available both in Slovak and Hungarian languages) including all presentations and materials will be developed to assist learners. - Hungarian media teachers and science journalists living in mainland Hungary and in Slovakia will co-operate in the development and piloting of this course. - At the conclusion of learning units, collaborative project groups of 2-4 pre-service teachers will be organised for learning in a a peer-supported, project oriented setting. - Project based assessment will be employed to evaluate learning results of collaborative groups.
