4 Hawkesbury Runners Spring Has Sprung Run Date: Sunday, May 14 th Time: 8:30am Organizers: Stephen Sockett and the Hawkesbury Runners. 404 Kitchener Street Hawkesbury Ontario. K6A 2P2 (438) Concept: To have an organized race of 5kms in length run through Hawkesbury Ontario. Participants: There would be a 15 runners as minimum number of runners to consider this a success. On January 25 th, 2017 there has been enough interest to assure that number to be between 40 and 60 runners. Most runners are coming from surrounding areas such as VanKleek Hill, Fee: Participants will pay $25 each to participate Charity: All proceeds will be given to 100%Actif Sponsors: To date, Intersport, FreshCo, Stephanies, Carols and a number of other local business have pledged support. Route: The proposed route (picture attached) will see the race start at Confederation Park and proceed to run South onto Main Street along the East side John Street. Turning Left onto Main towards Cameron. South on Cameron to Higgins. West on Higgins to Cartier Street. North on Cartier Street to Main Street. West on Main Street to Chaneil Blvd. We ll head South on the West side on John Street and enter Confederation park to end the race. Time required: 1 hour. Intervals for street closure:

5 Hawkesbury Runners Spring Has Sprung Run Main and John closed for 10 minutes. i.e. first runner to last runner Main and Chaneil Blvd closed for 20 minutes. i.e. first runner to last runner Other intersections can be managed by allowing traffic through without closure. Additional information: There will be prizes There will be timing There will be finisher medals There will be food There will be press coverage Requirements from the City of Hawkesbury: To manage road closures and volunteers.
