OVERZICHT WEEK 21 In de afgelopen week bleef de totale incidentie van raadplegingen bij de huisarts voor griepklachten stabiel op 78 raadplegingen per 100.000 inwoners (inclusief telefonische raadplegingen). In Brussel was er een lichte stijging van die incidentie bij kinderen van 5-14 jaar en bij volwassenen tot 64 jaar. De incidentie bleef stabiel in alle andere groepen. In de afgelopen week werden geen luchtwegstalen verzameld door de peilartsen. Tussen 16 maart en 10 mei 2020 (week 12-19) werden er 8127 extra sterfgevallen door alle oorzaken (waaronder 332 extra sterfgevallen in de leeftijdsgroep 15-64 jaar, 3447 extra sterfgevallen in de leeftijdsgroep 65-84 jaar en 4360 extra sterfgevallen in de leeftijdsgroep >= 85 jaar) waargenomen ten opzichte van wat op basis van de laatste 5 jaar wordt verwacht. Deze oversterfte voor de weken 14, 15 en 16 (waar de hoogste oversterfte gezien werd) bedraagt respectievelijk 81%, 95% en 71%. RÉSUMÉ SEMAINE 21 La semaine passée, l incidence de consultations chez le médecin généraliste pour syndrome grippal restait stable à 78 consultations pour 100.000 habitants (consultations téléphoniques incluses). A Bruxelles, il y avait une légère augmentation de cette incidence chez les enfants âgées de 5-14 ans et chez les adultes âgées de moins de 65 ans. L incidence restait stable dans toutes les autres groupes. Durant la semaine passée, les médecins vigies n ont pas prélevé des échantillons respiratoires. Entre le 16 mars et le 10 mai 2020 (semaines 12 à 19), nous observons 8127 décès toutes causes supplémentaires (dont 332 décès supplémentaires chez les 15-64 ans, 3447 décès supplémentaires chez les 65-84 ans et 4360 décès supplémentaires chez les plus de 85 ans) par rapport à ce qui était attendu sur base des 5 dernières années. Ces excès de mortalité pour les semaines 14, 15 et 16 (où la surmortalité la plus élevée a été observée) atteignent 81%, 95% et 71% respectivement. In the Brussels Region, there was a slight increase of the incidence in children aged 5-14 years and in adults aged less than 65 years. The incidence remained stable in all other groups. Last week, the sentinel GPs did not collect respiratory samples. Between March 16 th and May 10 th 2020 (weeks 12-19), 8127 additional deaths due to all causes were observed (including 332 additional deaths in the 15-64 year age group, 3447 additional deaths in the 65-84y age group and 4360 additional deaths in the age group over 85 years) compared to what is expected on the basis of the last 5 years. The excess mortality for weeks 14, 15 and 16 (where the highest excess mortality was observed) equals 81%, 95% and 71% respectively. BEVESTIGDE GRIEP ONDER GRIEPALE SYNDROMEN IN DE HUISARTSPRAKTIJK Virologische surveillance door het NRC Influenza De virologische surveillance van stalen uit de huisartpraktijk door het NRC Influenza toonde aan dat dit seizoen bijna uitsluitend influenza A virussen circuleerden, met een lichte predominantie van influenza A(H1N1) over influenza A(H3N2). GRIPPE CONFIRMÉE PARMI LES SYNDROMES GRIPPAUX EN MÉDECINE GÉNÉRALE Surveillance virologique par le NRC Influenza La surveillance virologique des échantillons provenant de la médecine générale par le CNR Influenza, montre que cette saison, presque exclusivement les virus grippaux A circulaient, avec une légère prédominance de influenza A(H1N1) sur influenza A(H3N2). INDICATOREN VAN ERNST BIJ VOOR GRIEP GEHOSPITALI- SEERDE PATIËNTEN Geregistreerd door de 6 peilziekenhuizen De surveillance vond plaats van week 2 tot week 16. Het aantal ziekenhuisopnames voor griep met bepaalde ernstige complicaties zoals ARDS (acuut ademhalingsfalen) was in het begin van de epidemie iets hoger in vergelijking met voorgaande jaren. Verder waren er geen aanwijzingen voor een verhoogde ernst deze winter. Onder de positieve tests was 93% positief voor influenza A (66% A(H1N1), 31% A(H3N2) en 3% A niet subtyped) en 7% positief voor influenza B (100% B Victoria, 0% B Yamagata en 0% B geen lijn). Sinon, il n y avait aucune indication d une sévérité accrue cet hiver. Parmi les tests positifs, 93 % étaient positifs pour l influenza A (66 % A (H1N1), 31 % A (H3N2) et 3 % A non sous-typés) et 7 % positifs pour la grippe B (100 % B Victoria, 0 % B Yamagata et 0% B sans lignée). SEVERITY INDICATORS AMONG PATIENTS HOSPITAL- IZED FOR FLU Registered by the 6 sentinel hospitals The surveillance ran from week 2 to week 16. The number of hospital admissions for flu with certain severe complications such as ARDS (acute respiratory failure) was at the start of the epidemic slightly higher compared to previous years. Otherwise there were no indications of increased severity this winter. Among the positive tests, 93% were positive for influenza A (66% A(H1N1), 31% A(H3N2) and 3% A not subtyped) and 7% positive for influenza B (100% B Victoria, 0% B Yamagata and 0% B no lineage). 8
AANTAL INFLUENZA INFECTIES GEDIAGNOTICEERD DOOR LABO-ANALYSE Geregistreerd door het netwerk van peillaboratoria Het aantal influenza infecties gediagnosticeerd door de peillaboratoria is terug op het basisniveau. Het aantal bevestigde diagnoses was laag dit jaar. Onder de griepdiagnoses deze winter waren er 80% positief voor influenza A, 9% voor influenza B en 11% waren niet getypeerd. Bevestigde COVID-19 bij patiënten gehospitaliseerd voor een ernstige acute respiratoire infectie Geregistreerd door de 6 peilziekenhuizen Virologische surveillance door het NRC Influenza In de week van 23-29 maart 2020 was 52% van de respiratoire stalen van patiënten gehospitaliseerd voor een ernstige acute respiratoire infectie, positief voor SARS-CoV-2. Voor de daaropvolgende weken werden onvoldoende stalen verzameld. COVID-19 confirmé chez les patients hospitalisés pour une infection respiratoire aigu sévère Enregistrés par les 6 hôpitaux vigies Surveillance virologique par le NRC Influenza Durant la semaine du 23 au 29 mars 2020, 52% des échantillons respiratoires des patients qui ont été hospitalisés pour une infection respiratoire aigüe sévère étaient positifs pour SARS-CoV-2. Trop peu d échantillons ont été prélevés pendant les semaines suivantes. ALGEMENE OVERSTERFTE (ALLE OORZAKEN) Opvolging op basis van gegevens uit het Rijksregister Tussen 16 maart en 10 mei 2020 (week 12-19) werden er 8127 extra sterfgevallen door alle oorzaken (waaronder 332 extra sterfgevallen in de leeftijdsgroep 15-64 jaar, 3447 extra sterfgevallen in de leeftijdsgroep 65-84 jaar en 4360 extra sterfgevallen in de leeftijdsgroep >= 85 jaar) waargenomen ten opzichte van wat op basis van de laatste 5 jaar wordt verwacht. De oversterfte was het hoogst in weken 14, 15 en 16 en bedroeg toen respectievelijk 81%, 95% en 71%. Hoewel het aantal sterfgevallen per week nog steeds zeer hoog blijft, zien we vanaf 13 april (week 16) een daling. SURMORTALITÉ GÉNÉRALE (TOUTES CAUSES) Suivi sur base des données provenant du Registre National Entre le 16 mars et le 10 mai 2020 (semaines 12 à 19), nous observons 8127 décès toutes causes supplémentaires (dont 332 décès supplémentaires chez les 15-64 ans, 3447 décès supplémentaires chez les 65-84 ans et 4360 décès supplémentaires chez les plus de 85 ans) par rapport à ce qui était attendu sur base des 5 dernières années. La surmortalité a atteint un sommet dans les semaines 14, 15 et 16 et s est élevée à 81 %, 95 % et 71 % respectivement. Bien que le nombre de décès par semaine reste très élevé, nous constatons une baisse par rapport au 13 avril (semaine 16). AANTAL INFECTIES DOOR ANDERE RESPIRATOIRE PATHOGENEN GEDIAGNOTICEERD DOOR LABO-ANALYSE Geregistreerd door het netwerk van peillaboratoria Er zijn momenteel zeer weinig positieve labo tests voor RSV, adenovirus, parainfluenzavirus of M. pneumoniae. COVID-19 is niet opgenomen in deze surveillance.
