PRESSEMITTEILUNG 2014-03-05 PEGAS: Februar-Handelsvolumen steigen um 92% gegenüber Vorjahr Leipzig, Paris, 5. März 2014 Im Februar 2014 wurde auf PEGAS, der gemeinsamen Gashandelsplattform der European Energy Exchange (EEX) und der Powernext ein Volumen von insgesamt 32,9 TWh gehandelt. Im Vergleich zu 17,1 TWh, die im Februar 2013 an den Gasmärkten von EEX und Powernext gehandelt wurden, ist das Volumen damit um 92 Prozent gestiegen. Spotmärkte An den Gas-Spotmärkten wurden im Februar 2014 insgesamt 19,4 TWh gehandelt. In den deutschen Marktgebieten GASPOOL und NCG wurde ein Volumen von 7,7 TWh umgesetzt, was einem Anstieg von über 50 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr entspricht (Februar 2013: 4,9 TWh). Davon stammten 1,4 TWh aus dem Handel mit qualitätsspezifischen Gasprodukten. Mit 2,6 TWh hat sich das Volumen am TTF- Spotmarkt mehr als verdoppelt (Februar 2013: 1,2 TWh). In den französischen Marktgebieten PEG Nord, PEG Süd und PEG TIGF belief sich das Volumen im Februar auf 9,0 TWh, was einem Anstieg von 87 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr entspricht (Februar 2013: 4,7 TWh). Das gesamte Spotmarktvolumen enthielt 1,0 TWh aus dem Handel mit Spread-Produkten, davon 115 GWh aus dem neuen PEG TIGF / PEG Sud Spread-Kontrakt, der Anfang Februar gestartet wurde. Terminmärkte Die Volumen an den Gas-Terminmärkten von PEGAS beliefen sich im Februar auf 13,5 TWh. In den deutschen Marktgebieten GASPOOL und NCG wurde ein Volumen von 7,1 TWh gehandelt, was mehr als dem Dreifachen des Vorjahresvolumens entspricht (Februar 2013: 2,0 TWh). Insgesamt wurden im Februar 2,9 TWh in den französischen Marktgebieten PEG Nord (2,3 TWh) und PEG Süd (564 GWh) gehandelt. Im Marktgebiet PEG Sud wurde im Februar das höchste Volumen seit dem Start gehandelt. Mit 3,4 TWh wurde am TTF-Terminmarkt ein neuer Monatsrekord erzielt. Dies entspricht einem Anstieg von 42 Prozent verglichen mit dem bisherigen Rekord (2,4 TWh im Januar 2014).

PRESS RELEASE 2014-03-05 PEGAS: February volumes increase by 92 percent year-on-year Leipzig, Paris, 5 March 2014 PEGAS, the natural gas platform established by the European Energy Exchange (EEX) and Powernext, announced that a total volume of 32.9 TWh was traded in February 2014. Therefore, the volume increased by 92 percent compared to the 17.1 TWh traded on the natural gas markets of EEX and Powernext in February 2013. Spot Markets Overall, trading volumes on the Spot Markets amounted to 19.4 TWh in February. The German spot markets (market areas GASPOOL and NCG) recorded a volume of 7.7 TWh which is an increase of more than 50 percent compared to the previous year (February 2013: 4.9 TWh). The volume included 1.4 TWh traded in quality-specific gas products in February. Furthermore, at 2.6 TWh, the volume on the Dutch spot market more than doubled (February 2013: 1. 2 TWh) and the French spot markets (market areas PEG Nord, PEG Sud, PEG TIGF) registered strong volumes with 9.0 TWh traded in February which represents an increase of over 87 percent compared to the previous year (February 2013: 4.7 TWh). The overall Spot Market volume included 1.0 TWh traded in spread products, with 115 GWh for the new PEG TIGF / PEG Sud spread contract which was launched at the beginning of February. Derivatives Markets In February, trading volumes on the PEGAS Derivatives Markets amounted to 13.5 TWh. The volume traded on the German Futures markets (GASPOOL and NCG market areas) amounted to 7.1 TWh which is more than 3 times the volume of the previous year (February 2013: 2.0 TWh). In the French market areas, a total of 2.9 TWh was traded on PEG Nord (2.3 TWh) and PEG Sud Futures (564 GWh). The fast development of transactions on the PEG Sud, which recorded the highest volume since launch is an extremely encouraging trend. The TTF Futures market registered a record volume of 3.4 TWh in February, which represents a 42 percent increase compared with the previous record of 2.4 TWh traded in January 2014.

Le développement important des transactions sur le PEG Sud qui a enregistré son volume le plus élevé depuis son lancement, constitue une tendance extrêmement encourageante. Le marché dérivé TTF a enregistré un volume record de 3,4 TWh en février, ce qui représente une augmentation de 42% par rapport au record précédent de 2,4 TWh réalisé en janvier 2014.
