NATURALHORN NATURHORN CORNE NATURELLE SWISSHORN natural horn frames are created from the horn of the Indian water buffalo. The Washington Convention on Endangered Species does not apply to these agricultural animals. Although the horns of a water buffalo can be up to two meters in lenght, only a small part of the horn is suitable for a spectacle frame. From this small part we select only those pieces which fulfil our criteria regarding the quality of the material and a harmonious and unusual coloring. The making of a horn frame does not pollute the enviroment. The only waste products are horn shavings, which serve as a natural fertiliser. SWISSHORN- Naturhornbrillen werden aus dem Horn des indischen Wasserbüffels gefertigt. Diese Nutztiere fallen nicht unter das Washingtoner Artenschutzabkommen. Obwohl die Hörner eines Wasserbüffels bis zu zwei Meter lang werden, eignet sich nur ein kleiner Teil des Horns für eine Brillenfassung. Davon wiederum wählen wir nur die Stücke aus, die unsere Ansprüche an die Qualität des Materials und einen harmonischen und eigenwilligen Farbverlauf erfüllen. Die Herstellung einer Naturhornbrille belastet nicht die Umwelt. Die einzigen Rückstände sind Hornspäne, die als natürliche Pflanzennahrung dienen. Cet animal domestique et utilitaire n est pas spécifié dans la liste du Traité de Washington. Bien que les cornes d un buffle d Asie puissent mesurer jusqu à deux mètres de long, seule une petite partie peut en être utilisée pour la fabrication d une monture. Nous sélectionnons uniquement les exemplaires dont la qualité de matériau ainsi que l harmonie et la beauté des couleurs répondent à nos exigences. L environnement est respecté au cours de la fabrication et les retombées en production servent d engrais naturel. MANUFACTURE HANDARBEIT MANUFACTURE For a SWISSHORN frame we use a part of a water bufalo horn. For this, strict criteria apply regarding the quality of the material and its aesthetic structure. We select only perfect pieces for handcrafting. Each SWISS- HORN is made as an individual, one-off piece, allowing special customer wishes to be taken into account. In this way frames are created whose equal will be sought in vain in the marketplace and which let their owners feel they are wearing something very special. With justification, as each SWISSHORN frame is one of a kind, distinguished by individual effects of structure and unique colour combinations.
