Cette évolution a nécessité beaucoup de travail mais aussi de la clairvoyance et une excellente vision stratégique. Anticiper les besoins des clients et les évolutions du marché, former toujours mieux ses collaborateurs et intégrer leur diversité, repérer les relais de croissance, s ouvrir à de nouvelles compétences Le Groupe SNEF n aurait pu réussir son évolution sans cohésion et unité. Since it was founded over a century ago, Group SNEF Isabelle AUTISSIER has changed from a small business in Marseilles to an international company. This evolution required not only a lot of work but also an excellent strategic vision. Bien sûr, tout le monde retiendra de 2008 la crise bancaire et le fort ralentissement de l économie au quatrième trimestre. A ce jour, le Groupe SNEF n est pas encore atteint par ces difficultés. Comment l expliquez-vous? Nous avons un bon métier et une excellente répartition de nos risques. Nos clients sont nombreux et importants. Ils interviennent dans tous les secteurs de l économie. Ce sont de grands groupes privés ainsi que l Etat et les collectivités. Notre activité à l International est significative. Après la technologie et les communications, nous allons accompagner le développement du secteur de l énergie. Quant à notre entreprise, elle est peu endettée et dispose des moyens de ses ambitions. Nous avons de plus des capacités d investissements, une gestion rigoureuse, des valeurs qui nous portent et un formidable atout : notre indépendance. Nous avons un bon métier We have a good business How is Group SNEF doing and how was 2008? 2008 was an excellent year for Group SNEF with growth in the double digits, and results that matched our forecasts. Of course, everyone will remember the financial crisis of 2008 as well as the slowdown in the economy during the fourth quarter. Group SNEF has not yet been touched by these difficulties. How do you explain your resistance? We have a good business and we have safely diversified our risks. We have many important clients with activities that touch many sectors of the economy. Our clients are as much large private groups as local collectivities and government agencies, not to mention our international activity. With a strong command of the technology and communications sectors, we will now develop our activity in the energy sector. Our company has very little debt and has at its disposal the resources necessary to back our ambition: investment capabilities and rigorous financial management. These values power our independence, our best asset. Comment se présente 2009? Tout en observant l évolution de la situation avec réalisme, nous restons raisonnablement optimistes. Notre carnet de commandes, à un excellent niveau, nous assure la charge de l entreprise pour les mois à venir. La situation actuelle est vertueuse et nous impose beaucoup de rigueur, de l exigence vis-à-vis de nos clients, de nos fournisseurs et surtout de nous-mêmes. Nous escomptons aussi un bénéfice de nos développements à l International, de nos opérations de croissance externe ainsi que de l acquisition de nouvelles compétences pour renforcer nos implantations dans le Nord et l Est afin de tenir compte de l évolution des marchés. What in store for 2009? We remain reasonably optimistic while keeping a realistic eye on how the situation is evolving. Our order book is comfortably full and guarantees the status of our company for the months to come. The current situation is difficult and will require much discipline to meet our clients demands, those of our suppliers, and most of all those that are self imposed. We expect to gain from our international developments, our external growth operations as well as from the skills acquisitions that will strengthen our sites in the North and East of France and help us keep on top of the evolving markets. L offre de notre entreprise s exerce selon trois grands marchés : l industrie y compris la marine, le secteur tertiaire privé et public ainsi que les télécommunications. D autres segmentations peuvent être faites : travaux liés aux investissements ou maintenance, proximité ou spécialité, international, sachant que nous avons toujours privilégié le service au client et la proximité. Comment analysez-vous ces marchés? L année 2008 a été caractérisée par une progression significative avec une grande stabilité relative de la part de chacun de nos marchés dans notre chiffre d affaires. Notre stratégie dans l industrie porte ses fruits avec de gros projets dans le nucléaire, EPR à Flamanville, et un intérêt particulier pour la maintenance. Dans le tertiaire, les durcissements des normes environnementales génèrent des travaux notamment en Ile-de-France. Nous réalisons de belles opérations comme par exemple la rénovation des Grands Moulins de Pantin et intervenons fortement dans le secteur hospitalier. Dans le secteur des communications, l activité reste stable, entre déploiement de réseaux et maintenance. Nous montons dans la chaîne de valeurs avec la fibre optique et le GSMR, en France mais aussi à l international. Pour la Marine, nous avons travaillé sur le Charles de Gaulle, et le livre blanc de la Défense confirme de nombreux projets d investissements. Nous avons toujours privilégié le service au client We have always focused on customer service In which areas of business do you operate? Our company operates in three large sectors, the manufacturing sector that includes the shipbuilding sector, the tertiary sector both private and public, and telecommunications. We can divide our services into other subcategories such as those tied to investments or maintenance, local or specialized services or international business, though we have always focused on customer service and local business. What is your analysis of these markets? We can characterize 2008 as a year of significant growth with strong stability in our sales revenue in each of our markets. Our strategy in the manufacturing sector has rewarded us with large projects in the nuclear industry, for example the EPR in Flamanville. We have shown an acute interest in maintenance. In the tertiary sector, the toughening of environmental standards is generating business, most particularly in Paris and its surrounding areas. We have won some noteworthy contracts, for example the renovation of les Grands Moulins, a flour mill in Pantin, and we are deeply involved in work with health care facilities. In communications, the work is stable, between service provisioning and maintenance. We are climbing up the value chain with fiber optics and GSMR work, both in France and internationally. In the shipbuilding industry, we worked on the Charles de Gaulle, a French aircraft carrier, and according to the white paper of the secretary of defense several investment projects are in the works. Quels sont les tendances que vous observez? Les projets pour lesquels nous sommes sollicités sont de plus en plus importants, beaucoup plus qu il y a 5 ans par exemple, plus globaux et plus complexes également, faisant appel à des compétences de maîtrise d oeuvre. Nos clients sont structurés avec des services achats bien organisés au plan contractuel et juridique. Nous nous organisons en conséquence. What trends have you noticed? The projects for which we are most often called upon are becoming bigger and bigger, much more than even 5 years ago. They are also more global and complex projects, requiring our expertise in project management. Our clients have buyers that are well organized. The players are professionals, commisioning carefully formulated legally binding contracts. We must follow their lead. VOLUTION DES MARCHÉS Evolution in the marketplace UN GROUPE / a Group

Notre stratégie se révèle être bonne. Notre positionnement dans la maintenance est excellent, la maintenance industrielle, activité générant une relation très privilégiée avec les clients, ou la maintenance tertiaire, secteur en fort développement. Autre axe de croissance défini il y a quelques années : l international. Il représente maintenant 25 % de notre chiffre d affaires, nous amène de nouveaux clients et enrichit notre palette de compétences par l acquisition des nouveaux métiers, notamment avec IMSAT, société roumaine intégrée dans le Groupe en L international permet aussi de mieux répartir les risques, donc de renforcer l entreprise. Nous sommes aussi très vigilants et attentifs aux orientations des marchés qui peuvent se développer ou bien que nous puissions y améliorer notre part de marché. Avez-vous identifié de nouveaux relais de croissance? Ils sont multiples. Par exemple nous nous portons vers les investissements d infrastructures y compris ferroviaire ainsi que vers les équipements publics qui vont être favorisés par les plans de relance gouvernementaux. Par ailleurs, le secteur des économies d énergie est porteur et nous sommes attentifs aux conséquences du Grenelle de l Environnement. Is your strategy affected by the changes in the marketplace? Our strategy is working. Our position in the maintenance sector is excellent, both for industrial maintenance, which is of particular interest to our clients, and maintenance for the tertiary sector, which is developing quickly. The international market is another area of growth that we defined a few years back and it now represents 25% of our sales revenue. It brings us new clients and enriches our skill sets by teaching us new lines of work. A good example of this is IMSAT, a Romanian company that was integrated into our Group In The international market allows us to better distribute risks and therefore strengthens our company. We are very vigilant and attentive to the changes in developing markets and markets where we can better position ourselves. For example, we are now concentrating on investments in infrastructure, including railways and public facilities, where the government is focusing in their recovery plans. Furthermore, the energysaving sector is expanding and we are paying attention to the results of the Grenelle Environnement. Votre indépendance n est-elle pas un frein? Au contraire, c est un atout très fort. Nous ne sommes pas cotés en Bourse et ne dépendons d aucun groupe financier. La stabilité de notre capital, de notre management, notre rentabilité et notre faible endettement nous donnent les moyens de suivre une politique de long terme. Notre indépendance nous autorise une plus grande réactivité et nous permet de mieux servir nos clients. Notre société a les moyens de ses ambitions. Notre richesse n est pas uniquement financière mais réside dans la confiance que nos équipes, tous niveaux hiérarchiques confondus, inspirent à nos clients. Is your independence an impediment? Quite the contrary, it is a strong asset. We are not a public company and we do not rely on any financial institutions. The stability of our capital and management, our profitability and our modest debt enable us to follow a long term policy. Our independence enables greater responsiveness to better serve our clients. Our company can live up to its ambitions. Our wealth is only based on monetary riches but rests in the confidence our clients have in our teams at all levels of our organization. Notre environnement évolue et il est clair qu il doit en être de même de notre entreprise. Le nombre et la diversité de nos clients et de nos implantations nécessitent une organisation coordonnée et rigoureuse. Par exemple dans le domaine de la maintenance, nous assurons aujourd hui l entretien de plus de sites et nos clients attendent une vision globale de nos prestations sur l ensemble du territoire. Nos outils informatiques d aide à l optimisation des déplacements, de localisation et de suivi, de formalisation de méthodes s inscrivent dans notre business model. L organisation locale est remplacée par des services régionaux pilotés par tours de contrôle selon un modèle unique. Cette organisation spécifique aux contrats nationaux de maintenance bénéficie aussi aux contrats locaux qui sont garantis par la même qualité de service. Améliorer encore notre offre Improving our services What changes are there in Group SNEF s organization? Our environment is evolving and it is certain that so must our company. The number and diversity of our clients and our sites require a strict and organized structure. In maintenance, for example, we maintain over sites and our clients expect a global vision of our work nation-wide. Our business model includes software aids that optimize transfers, localization and monitoring, and establish procedures. Localized structures are replaced by regional services run by control towers all using a single operating model. This structure is particular to national maintenance contracts and equally benefits local contracts that are guaranteed the same quality of service. Ces changements concernent-ils d autres métiers que la maintenance? Je le signalais précédemment, notre richesse, outre notre indépendance, c est aussi notre capacité à nous développer dans le cadre d une politique globale qui amène à avoir la même réponse à une situation donnée dans chacune des entités et dans chacun de nos métiers. Nous nous sommes organisés en ce sens. Nous capitalisons sur le savoir-faire métier de nos équipes et de la hiérarchie. As I mentioned before, besides our independence, our success comes from our ability to grow in a global policy context where we respond with the same solution to a particular situation in all of our branches in each of our lines of work. We have structured our company this way. We are capitalising on our know-how of our teams and of our organization. Quels objectifs suivez-vous? Cette approche métier dans le cadre de la simplification de la chaîne hiérarchique a plusieurs objectifs : homogénéité et visibilité des pratiques, efficacité, suivi et, in fine, gain de productivité et rentabilité avec bien sûr, un meilleur service pour nos clients, et la pérennité de nos contrats. Les synergies ainsi créées doivent se traduire par une concertation en amont sur les éléments de gestion sociale et d optimisation des moyens et outils. Ces enjeux sont importants pour notre avenir. What goals have you set? The goal of our business approach to a simplified chain of command is manifold: uniformity and visibility of our practices, efficiency, tracking, ultimately, an increase in productivity and profitability with, of course, better client service and lasting contracts. The synergies that result are brought about by preliminary planning in all facets of corporate management and optimizing our means and tools. These measures are important for our future. En 2005, les bases étaient en place et en 2008 il représente 24 % de notre chiffre d affaires. C est un véritable relais de croissance. Les reprises d Icer et d IMSAT en 2007 ont créé une formidable synergie. IMSAT a un grand savoir-faire dans des activités connexes, par exemple en montage mécanique, que nous intégrons progressivement à notre offre. Cela doit nous ouvrir des perspectives nouvelles dans certains secteurs d activité, en France et à l international, Afrique notamment. Quels sont les atouts du Groupe SNEF? Notre modèle de gestion internationale, nos spécialités dans l industrie cimentière où le Groupe SNEF est leader, nos savoir-faire dans tous les autres secteurs de l industrie ainsi que dans les grands projets tertiaires sont mis au service de notre clientèle internationale et nous font connaître auprès des acteurs économiques locaux. Nous créons ainsi un véritable réseau, certains clients pour lesquels nous n avions travaillé jusqu alors que hors de nos frontières, nous confiant des projets en France. Nous avons structuré nos agences au Maroc et en Algérie, partout nous avons embauché des responsables locaux qui ont une parfaite connaissance de nos métiers et de leurs marchés. How is Group SNEF s growth internationally? We laid the foundations in 2005 and in 2008 our international activity represents 24% of our sales revenue. It s a real source of growth. The acquisition of Icer and IMSAT in 2007 produced an incredible synergy. IMSAT s expertise in related activities, such as mechanical assembly, is now being integrated in the services we offer. This opens new doors for us in certain sectors both in France and abroad, particularly in Africa. What are Group SNEF s assets? Our international management model, our expertise in the cement industry where Group SNEF is top ranked, our knowledge in all other sectors of business as well as In large-scale projects in the service sector - all these things are put to use for our international clients and make us known to the local economic actors. It is through this that we create a real network. Certain clients for whom until now we ve only worked for abroad are now rewarding us with projects in France. We have structured our branches in Morocco and Algeria such that at each site we have hired local managers who have a perfect knowledge of our business and of their local market. Un véritable relais de croissance A real source of growth Vers quels secteurs particuliers allez-vous porter vos efforts? Jusqu alors nous avions concentré notre développement international sur 2 axes : l Europe de l Est et le Maghreb. Nous y avons très bien réussi en y développant des structures locales car ces régions du monde sont de formidables réservoirs de compétence. Nous avons réussi dans les secteurs de l industrie, du grand tertiaire ainsi que des travaux d infrastructure y compris de télécommunications. Nos prochains objectifs sont le développement de notre activité au Moyen-Orient sachant que notre présence à Abu Dhabi et au Qatar est ancienne, et en Afrique subsaharienne. DÉVELOPPEMENT NTERNATIONAL International dévelopment On which sectors will you concentrate your efforts? Until now we have concentrated on two areas of international development: Eastern Europe and the Maghreb. We have been successful in developing local structures because of the extraordinary pool of skilled workers found in these regions. Our successes were seen in the manufacturing industry, the tertiary sector, as well as in infrastructure projects that included telecommunications. Our next goal is to develop our activity in the Middle East, given our existing presence in Abu Dhabi and Qatar, and in Sub-Saharan Africa. UN GROUPE / a Group

La structure de notre direction générale est légère, son action s inscrit dans la recherche permanente de l efficacité avec comme objectif la réussite du Groupe dans et par ses métiers. Par ailleurs, le Groupe grandit, la direction générale est renforcée et nous avons nommé un Compliance Officer. Nous avons aussi mis en place un comité d orientation regroupant les directeurs régionaux au sein duquel sont discutés les principaux axes stratégiques de l entreprise. Notre conseil d administration, indépendant, stable, de grande qualité et d horizons variés, est restreint à neuf personnes pour plus d efficacité et d échanges. Recherche permanente de l efficacité The pursuit of efficiency How is Group SNEF s management team organized? Our general management structure is simple; the pursuit of efficiency ensure the success of our Group in our various lines of work. The Group is growing; we ve reinforced our management team and appointed a Compliance Officer. We have put in place a policy committee, regrouping the regional directors, to discus the main strategic focus areas of the Group. Our Board of Directors, which is independent, stable, with members from various backgrounds with many qualities, is restricted to nine people for better efficiency and easier communication. Nous avons toujours inscrit et développé nos actions dans la durée en ayant confiance dans les capacités humaines. Responsabilisation sur le terrain, structure hiérarchique courte, ouverture et variété des profils, effort soutenu de formation, management de la diversité liée au développement international tout est fait pour favoriser les évolutions de carrière. Pour répondre à la croissance rapide des effectifs et à l extension du rôle des cadres, nous avons lancé un séminaire de formation de grande ampleur. Au programme : l éthique, la gestion opérationnelle et contractuelle, et la sécurité. Training Group SNEF s strategic position relies on technical expertise and quality service. We have always looked towards long term goals to progress and have had confidence in human ability. Making employees aware of their responsibilities in the field, keeping a short chain of command, remaining open to a variety of profiles, encouraging continued training, integrating diversity related to international expansion we do all of this to encourage career advancement. In order to handle the growth of our company and the expanding roles of our management team, we have created a large scale training seminar. On the agenda: ethics, operational and contractual management and safety. All of our employees benefit from personalized skills development programs. Group SNEF provides a recognized security training program and these training courses are regularly audited, particularly the course on electrical certification. Ici une agence BNP Paribas d Antibes. 4 - Installation d une centrale de traitement d air avec filtre sécuritaire et réseaux aérauliques de désinfection pour le laboratoire P3 des Hospices Civils de Lyon NOS MÉTIERS Le Groupe SNEF a acquis ces dernières années le métier du génie climatique. Cette compétence permet de prendre en charge des lots complets en génie électrique et climatique, partout en France, dans le cadre de travaux neufs comme en rénovation, de la conception à la réalisation.
