Le Qi Gong de santé, qui fait partie intégrante de la culture chinoise, est une technique de bienêtre visant à améliorer la santé du corps et de l esprit en combinant les mouvements corporels, la respiration et le travail de l esprit. La recherche scientifique sur le Qi Gong de santé constitue un socle solide pour son développement et des bases théoriques pour améliorer les soins de santé au niveau mondial. La recherche est comme un ruban reliant les échanges culturels et la promotion de l amitié entre les peuples. La tenue d un symposium scientifique est d une grande importance pour développer la recherche, et peut donner une impulsion aux travaux de recherche scientifiques. Je souhaite donc présenter mes sincères félicitations, au nom de la Fédération Internationale de Qi Gong de santé, à l occasion de l ouverture de ce colloque! Je tiens également à exprimer ma cordiale gratitude à tous les experts et chercheurs pour leur soutien et à souhaiter un accueil chaleureux aux représentants et à tous les participants! Je souhaite que toutes les personnes présentes au Symposium puissent apprendre et comprendre par la théorie et la pratique afin que les échanges académiques produisent des étincelles de sagesse et attisent l enthousiasme dans la recherche de la vérité, de la santé et de la vie. Xiao Min President of the International Health Qigong Federation August 2015 On the occasion of the grand opening of the 2 nd World Health Qigong Scientific Symposium which is to be soon celebrated in Paris, France, I wish to, on behalf of the International Health Qigong Federation, extends best regards to the Health Qigong colleagues and enthusiasts! Health Qigong- a part of Chinese culture of long standing -is a sort of health care aiming to improve body and mind health by combining body movements, exhalation and inhalation, mental adjustments. The Scientific Research of Health Qigong provides a strong support to the development of Health Qigong and the theoretical basis for higher-level health care of the world populace. Also, it is a ribbon connecting the cultural exchanges and promoting friendship among the populace of various countries and regions. The holding of scientific symposium is of great significance on leading the direction of research development, giving impetus to the scientific research work and popularizing scientific physical training. Hereupon, I wish to, on behalf of the International Health Qigong Federation, extend sincere congratulations to the opening of this Symposium! I also wish to express cordial gratitude to all the experts, scholars for their support and warm welcome to the dignitaries and friends attending the Symposium! I hope that everyone at the Symposium will learn well, come to realize in practice and produce wisdom sparks in the academic exchanges and thinking collision so as to light the enthusiasm of seeking truce, keeping fit and blessing life.

L objectif du colloque était : «Apprendre des recherches scientifiques, réaliser le contenu spécifique du Qi Gong, explorer son développement scientifique et échanger autour des connaissances et des expériences». Deux ans plus tard, le 2 ème Symposium international scientifique et culturel de Qi Gong de santé a lieu à Paris, ville connue dans le monde entier pour sa culture, tout naturellement ce colloque se concentrera sur la connotation culturelle du Qi Gong de santé. A partir des articles d experts et de chercheurs qui font autorité, la Fédération internationale de Qi Gong de santé sélectionnera les travaux théoriques les plus récents afin de les partager avec tous les pratiquants de Qi Gong de santé. C est grâce à l appui solide de la Fédération française Sports pour Tous et la Cité des Sciences et de l Industrie, aux grands efforts et à l enthousiasme de l organisateur, Les Temps du Corps, et de la Fédération Internationale que ce Symposium pourra avoir lieu. Je souhaiterais saisir cette occasion pour exprimer toute ma gratitude! Je souhaite sincèrement que le colloque rencontre un grand succès! Et que la recherche scientifique sur le Qi Gong de santé porte de nouveaux résultats! The first World Health Qigong Scientific Symposium held in 2013 in New York University cause a strong repercussions in the international Health Qigong circles and enthusiasts and it came into being the objective of Health Qigong scientific Symposium : Listen respectfully to academic thinking, come to realize Health Qigong connotations, explore its scientific development and exchange the learned knowledge and experiences. Two years later, the 2 nd World Health Qigong Scientific Symposium to fall in Paris-the world known city of culture shall focus on the connotation of Health Qigong from the cultural side. The International Health Qigong Federation will select the latest theoretical works from the articles of the experts and scholars for their anticipated learning desire of the Health Qigong fans in the world. Thanks to the strong support of the French Federation of Sports for All, symposium shall successfully take place as scheduled, which coagulates the great efforts and enthusiasm of the host Les Temps du Corps and shows the contribution as a result of the joint efforts of the International Health Qigong members. I would like to, herewith, avail myself of this opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude! Sincerely wish this Symposium a complete success! Nous œuvrons tous ensemble pour développer et faire connaître le Qi Gong de santé dont les origines, trésor du patrimoine de la Chine, sont liées à la médecine traditionnelle chinoise, mais aussi à une culture et à une philosophie de la vie. Le Qi Gong se développe considérablement dans de nombreux pays, on compte aujourd hui pratiquants en France, grâce aux efforts des Temps Du Corps et des autres institutions et associations. Je souhaite que ce deuxième symposium international puisse contribuer à stimuler et à renforcer cet héritage millénaire tout en apportant les réponses scientifiques qui nous permettront de l inscrire dans l histoire moderne. Je remercie les responsables de la fédération internationale de Qi Gong de santé pour leurs efforts pour le développer dans le monde, les responsables de toutes les associations de Qi Gong dans les pays des cinq continents du monde, les chercheurs et conférenciers qui nous offrent aujourd hui les résultats de leurs travaux et de leur expérience. Together, we strive to develop Health Qi Gong and communicate about it. Health Qi Gong s origins, one of Chinese heritage s treasures, are closely linked to traditional Chinese medicine, but also more generally to a culture and a philosophy of life. Qi Gong is growing significantly in many countries, for example there are now 100,000 practitioners in France, thanks to the efforts of Les Temps du Corps and other institutions and associations. I hope that this second international Symposium will help to stimulate and strengthen this ancient heritage while providing scientific answers that will allow us to give Qi Gong its place in modern history. I wish to thank the International Health Qigong Federation officials for their efforts to develop Qi Gong throughout the world, the leaders of Qi Gong associations all over the world, the researchers and speakers who offer us today the results of their work and experience. La rencontre se tiendra les 22, 23, 24 et 25 août 2015 à Paris. L organisation prévoit une forte participation des 41 pays membres de la Fédération Internationale de Qi Gong de Santé, la présence de personnalités chinoises et françaises ainsi que des experts reconnus. Objectifs : > Renforcer les échanges internationaux autour de la culture du Qi gong de santé et créer du lien entre les pratiquants des différents pays. > Enrichir et approfondir les connaissances de la culture chinoise et du Qi Gong et son intégration dans le monde moderne. > Transmettre les valeurs de nos pratiques : ouverture et accessibilité à tous, partage et amitié, santé et épanouissement. > Favoriser l amitié franco-chinoise sur le plan international. An event organized for its second edition by 2 big groups in the world of sports and Chinese culture: International Federation of Health Qigong and the Association of Chinese Culture Les Temps du Corps, in partnership with the Federation of Qi Gong Teachers, the French Federation Sports for All and the French Confederation of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The event will be held from 22nd to 25th August in Paris. 41 member countries of the International Federation have been invited to participate in this unique event. It brings all together the renowned experts from France and China. This event aims to create a friendly gathering and an exchange of Qi Gong, a practice anchored in the Chinese cultural heritage which has now been spread to numerous countries around the world. Les objectifs de l IHQF sont les suivants : promouvoir la solidarité et développer le potentiel des membres de la fédération, renforcer la communication et la coopération entre les membres de la fédération et renforcer la santé au niveau mondial. Le siège officiel de la IHQF est à Pékin. La mission et le rôle de l IHQF sont les suivants : organiser les concours de Qi Gong de santé sur le plan international ainsi que les tournois et les activités ; établir et réglementer les normes techniques internationales de Qi Gong de santé ; établir des dispositions concernant l administration des athlètes, des entraîneurs et des juges de Qi Gong de santé ; organiser et développer les recherches scientifiques et la publicité du Qi Gong de santé ; développer et promouvoir les industries liées à l IHQF. The IHQF is an international non-profit organization consisted of national or regional Health Qi Gong organizations voluntarily enrolled in. The objectives of the IHQF are to: promote the solidarity with devotion of the federation members; promote the communication and cooperation among federation members; enhance health condition of world people. The official seat of the IHQF is Beijing, China. The mission and role of the IHQF are to organize international competition, tournament and relevant activities of Health Qi Gong ; establish and regulate the international technical standards of Health Qi Gong ; establish provisions on the administration of Health Qi Gong athletes, coaches and judges ; organize and develop scientific researches and publicity on Health Qi Gong ; develop and promote relative industries of the IHQF.

16 Lectures Jerry Alan Johnson - USA Professor Jerry Alan Johnson is recognized as the foremost authority on medical Qi Gong treatment in the USA. A pioneer in the matter, he founded the International Institute of Medical Qi Gong twenty years ago in Monterey California, an organization active today in 8 countries and recognized by the Health Department in China. He has designed several Medical Qigong programs that have been implemented in various T.C.M. Colleges and Medical Qigong Institutes throughout the world. To date, Professor Johnson has presented many papers on clinical research and use of Medical Qigong Therapy. He has also written and published over six clinical textbooks on the practice of Medical Qigong Therapy. «From Health Qi Gong to medical Qi Gong Therapy: a complement to Modern Medicine» It is my opinion that all Qigong Exercises have health and healing as their ultimate goal; when properly performed, Qigong Exercises act as powerful remedies that internally heal and regulate the life-force energy that flows through all body tissues. Each Qigong exercise acts in a specific way on internal body organs and on their systems ; it enables the dispersion of internal toxins that are sometimes contained within body tissues and cells. At the International Institute of Medical Qigong, all of our graduate doctors are taught the energetic implications of Qi Gong for both prevention and healing approaches, in order to incorporate the best of both worlds in their own clinical practice. 17 Lectures Zhang Mingliang - China Zhang Mingliang is the founder and director of the Chinese Medicine Research Institute Huang Ting in Beijing. He is the 14 th heir of Emei school and the heir of the traditional Chinese medicine : the treatment of 9 new acupunctures. He is in charge of the research team in three methods of Qi Gong : Six-caracter Formula ; Yijin Jing ; 12 silk brocades sitting. He has conducted extensive research on Taoist Yang Sheng, Buddhist meditation, Chinese medicine and the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. He has been transmitting his teaching through 29 provinces of China and 10 countries of the world for over ten years. His major publications include: «The 24 Energies of Dao Yin Yang Sheng» ; «The wisdom of the time in Chinese medicine»; «The sound and the vibration of five organs: Dao Yin techniques of five organs in Chinese medicine»; «Awaken your body: Dao Yin techniques of body structures of Chinese medicine» ; «The route of Calm» (written together with Dr. Ke Wen). International Health Qi Gong Symposium «Health Qi Gong, a privileged path to wisdom» If we view our body as a tree, it must be the tree of life, expressing the utmost capability and potential, the most complex and refined structure. The findings about the infinite resources of the body, and the mysteries of life mechanisms will never stop to amaze us. The concepts of «The unity of human and heaven» contained in traditional Chinese philosophy are very close to us. They manifest in Chinese medicine, qigong, martial arts, calligraphy... and all aspects of daily life. Unity does not mean ONE. It doesn t mean being together. Either What then does it say? Why were our ancestors saying that the one is all? It is when we reach a level of calm, at the crossroads of lucidity and sleep, which we begin to feel the Qi and can control it. We can also master and control our body and heart to obtain health and happiness. Qi Gong is therefore the art of mastering and controlling Qi. To reach the path of unity between humans and heaven, it is necessary that humans interact positively with heaven. For that, it is first necessary to create unity between body and heart. The unity between humans and heaven is not just a theoretical and philosophical concept. Rather, it is a set of structured methods and techniques that must be practiced long term.

18 Lectures Wolfgang Immanuel Schöllhorn - Allemagne Professor Schöllhorn leads the Sport Science Institute at the University of Mainz in Germany. After a PhD in biomechanics, Schöllhorn conducted research in the United States, Canada, Taiwan, Austria, Spain and Germany. Very active in teaching both students and teachers in areas such as athletics, biomechanics and motor learning, he has published numerous works and publications in biomechanics and the science of movement, focusing particularly on the link between the practice of health Qi Gong, brain activity and relaxation. «Qi Gong: a bridge between Eastern and Western approaches in the field of healthcare» In scientific approaches of Western and Eastern cultures, it has been proven that body movements create brain state changes. These changes are accompanied by an increase of Alpha and Theta frequencies (characteristic of cerebral rhythm). The practice of long-term mediation leads to anatomical changes in the brain. Similarly, the repetitive practice of Qi Gong movements practiced with calm and without constraint enables the reaching of a state close to that of meditation and leads to the same brain changes. Meditation whose Latin root medi (medium), takes the meaning of self-observation has thus created a link with Chinese medicine for Chinese medicine indeed works through introspection and the understanding of each human being. We will see how, from this conclusion, anatomical changes operate in the brain through the practices of Health Qi Gong.

19 Lectures Bernard Andrieu - France Born in Agen in 1959, is a professor of Philosophy and Technics of the body at University of Paris Descartes Sorbonne Paris Cité and researcher at EA 3625 «Technics and issues of the body» since september He has been Professor of epistemology of the body and body practices at Nancy University 1 from 2005 to 2014 attached to CETAPS of Rouen Faculty. He conducts research at GDRI CNRS «Ecology of the body through physical adapted trainings» (2015 to 2018). Professor invited to several universities worldwide such as Natal (Brazil), Kyoto (Japan), Montréal (Uquam, Quebec), Brisbane and Sidney (Australia). Philosopher of the body, he published researches on the history of body practicies (like tanning, touch, outdoor immersion, hybridation or cults of the body) and established a body ecology. He developed a theory of an emersiology of the alive body in the consciousness of the past living experience of the body. Formed in the 80 s in Bordeaux in phenomenology, psychoanalisis, primatology and neurosciences, he supports his thesis in philosophy of the body on themes of neurophilosophy, published at University Press in France and directed by Dominique Lecourt. He published on physicality of the body philosophy and history of psychological brain by Herbert Feigl, Noam Chomsky, Alfred Binet, inter alia. International Health Qi Gong Symposium «Vivacity of the alive body and awareness: self-health of Qi Gong» The alive body confirms its vitality with the emersion of its intensity in Qi Gong: the alive crosses the border line of the past living experience renewing it permanently through the effect of its ecologization. The vitality is overflowing the past living experience helped by information which is emerging unintentionally like for example: chronic pain. This vital activity produced by the alive body awakes the consciousness of the past living experience to new experiences. A new organization of the body emerges without the subject himself or herself being able to understand its ins and outs. The hosting of the vitality of the alive body becomes an operating mode of knowledge of the body independently of the representations and techniques already established. Forgetting body movements current patterns and images is necessary and imposed to let the alive body emerge in the Qi Gong gesture.

20 Lectures Ke Wen - France Vice-president of the International Health Qi Gong Federation that gathers close to forty countries spreading and developing Qi Gong culture worldwide, Mrs Ke Wen is the founder and director of the largest European Yangsheng Chinese culture center, «Les Temps du Corps». She is the general director and coach of the 3-year Qigong culture school and has trained more than thousands of qigong coaches in France. Author and lecturer in culture, philosophy and Chinese medicine, her first book «Entrez dans la pratique du Qi Gong» (Enter the Practice of Qi Gong) already in its 4 th edition, has greatly clarified and enhanced the effectiveness of the practice of Qi Gong as well as its relationship with Chinese philosophy. She published the second book in 2013 «La Voie du Calme», «The path of Peace», the third book «The Chinese medicine treasure for the world of today» in 2015 and defended her doctoral thesis «The Qi Gong culture development model in Western countries, - the example of France» in June 2014 at the University of Physical Education in Shanghai. «Qi Gong, a transcultural path to a body-mind practice» Whatever their cultural roots may be, human beings seek to give meaning to their existence through the balance of body (Xing), support of our vitality, spirit (Shen) and breath (Qi), that all animate and nourish our lives. Health Qigong fully meets this quest. It helps maintain health, balance emotions, feel and raise the strength and deep potential of life within us, giving us the opportunity of self-realization. The transmission of the essence of Qi Gong to the western world has been my motivation for twenty years. The path chosen by our center Les Temps du Corps enables us to fulfill and realize this wish. This is actually the subject of my thesis: «The development and transmission of the culture of Qi Gong in the Western world».the current scientific research increasingly shows the relationship between mind and body, matter and consciousness. The continuous and intense communication between mind and body sustains the practice of Qi Gong. Each practice constitutes a unique experience in body and heart consciousness. It is an experience that allows us to feel the fascinating and unique world that lives in and all around us.
