1 Je m appelle: La date: There are two main types of French verbs. One group are known as irregular verbs and the other are known as regular verbs. Irregular verbs do not follow a particular pattern whilst regular verbs do. Here are two of the most common irregular verbs. j ai Tu as Il a Elle a avoir (to have) Nous allons Vous allez Ils ont Elles ont French Verbs Je suis, j ai Je confounds tout. Toi aussi? Je suis Tu es Il est Elle est Elles sont Those verbs known as regular verbs are then divided into three groups. Those that end in er, ir, and re: parler, finir, vendre. To conjugate these verbs there are three steps. 1. Choose your subject 2. Find your root. (take off the er, ir, or the re at the end of the verb. 3. Remember, you are looking for a verb (shown with vt or vi after the French word which ends in -er).
