What Have We Learned so Far? Incorporating collective cumulative experience has progressively improved results by better patient selection and better prevention and management of complications. A good screening is at least 50% of the final result.

Conclusions Le TAVI est bien au dela de la «preuve du concept» et est devenu en 10 ans une technique assez mature parfaitement intégrée dans la discussion thérapeutique. Le «besoin clinique» du TAVI chez les patients présentant une sténose aortique récusés ou à haut risque chirurgical s avère plus élevé que prévu.
Conclusions Les résultats continuent de s améliorer au fil du temps avec une mortalité à 30 jours de l ordre de 3 à 5% dans les centres expérimentés. Un bon screening est l élément clé pour garantir le succès et limiter les complications.
