The project builtb on previous international trade & e-learning projects to develop best practice examples of how to use new ICT based technologies for SME business & vocational training. The project primarily addressed Call Priority 3 Developing relevant & innovative e- Learning Content and use ICT-supported learning to provide appropriate training and learning materials for less qualified workers to improve their skills. It was anticipated that games based approaches and e-learning materials & methods could appeal to, and helped engage, SMEs more than traditional classroom approaches especially those SMEs with large numbers of staff under 40. The main purpose of the InTeLS+ project was to extend the scope and reach of the previous International Trade e-learning Suite for SMEs project (InTeLS) and to validate the suitability of the InTeLS approach for other European countries and sectors. InTeLS was an e-learning based training project dealing with international trade skills assessment & development. The two-year Leonardo funded project developed a suite of e-learning training materials/tools & a computer based International Trade Business Game. It finished in September This InTeLS+ project extented the previous project by: Improving the scope of, and facilities offered by, the previous InTeLS products Translating and contextualising the InTeLS products for Spain, Slovenia & Lithuania Expanding the sector focus of the project to machinery & equipment manufacturing companies Increasing the amount of training materials content made available and the extent to which this content is translated from English into all other partner languages Extending the reach of the project outputs by increasing the take-up by, and involvement of, a larger number of SME intermediaries across Europe Thèmes: Sectors: Types de Produit: Information sur le produit: Page Web du projet: *** Formation continue ** Étude interculturelle ** TIC ** Formation tout au long de la vie ** Entreprise, TPE, PME * Accès pour les personnes moins favorisées *** Enseignement Matériel pour l'enseignement Modules Site Internet Almost all project outputs were available in an on-line format. Specific planned outputs of this type included: an interactive games-based e-learning tool available both as a demonstration CD & via a website. A project website in all partner languages that provided online support, additional information & acted as a sign-post to other relevant (on-line) materials. A project portal forum where SMEs & key stakeholders could discuss business ideas, share common concerns & even contribute knowledge (via WIKKIs) Demonstration software that enabled trainers, SMEs & their intermediaries to trial the materials, gain exposure to e-learning approaches used, provide on-line assessments & encourage the provision of feedback 2
