3 PRIX JACQUES OUDIN 2010 DE RECHERCHE EN IMMUNOLOGIE/IMMUNOTHERAPIE Montant du prix : Le Prix Jacques Oudin* 2010 de recherche en Immunologie/Immunothérapie a pour objectif de récompenser un travail original de recherche en immunologie fondamentale, translationnelle, ou clinique, ayant des applications directes en thérapeutique dans les domaines des Maladies autoimmunes, maladies infectieuses, déficits immunitaires, cancer. Conditions de candidature : Chercheurs et enseignants-chercheurs confirmés d un laboratoire de recherche publique Praticiens Hospitaliers Travaux de recherche encadrés par le lauréat et réalisés dans un laboratoire ou un service hospitalier situé en France (DOM-TOM inclus). 4 Prix Jeune Chercheur SFI-Miltenyi La Société Française d'immunologie, avec le soutien de la société Miltenyi Biotec, attribuera le "Prix Jeune Chercheur SFI-Miltenyi", lors de son congrès annuel qui se tiendra les novembre 2010 à Marseille. Ce prix d un montant de récompensera les travaux en l'immunologie cellulaire et/ou immunopathologie d un chercheur, statutaire ou non, de moins de 35 ans, adhérent de la SFI, ou en cours d adhésion. La remise du prix aura lieu le 25 novembre dans une session spéciale du congrès et sera suivie d'une brève présentation par le lauréat. Le dossier de soumission devra être composé d'un seul fichier, au nom et prenom du candidat, comprenant : - un Curriculum Vitae - un résumé d une page des travaux marquants - un liste des 10 meilleures publications. 5 Prix de thèse SFI-BD Biosciences La Société Française d'immunologie, avec le soutien de la société BD Biosciences, attribuera deux "Prix de thèse SFI-BD Biosciences", lors de son congrès annuel qui se tiendra les novembre 2010 à Marseille. Ces prix, d un montant de chacun récompenseront les travaux de thèse d excellence dans les domaines de l'immunologie fondamental, expérimental ou clinique, effectués dans un laboratoire français. Les soutenances doivent avoir eu lieu dans le 24 mois qui précèdent le congrès. La remise des prix aura lieu lors du congrès annuel. 6 OPEN POSITIONS IN IMMUNOLOGY OF SKIN ALLERGY AND VACCINATION Positions: Our laboratory is seeking two talented scientists (a research scientist & a postdoc) to orchestrate and conduct ambitious research programs on the pathophysiology of skin inflammatory diseases and drug allergies. I) Research scientist: Mission The Research scientist is expected to animate a young team investigating, in mouse models, the effector/regulatory mechanisms that govern the development of eczemas (contact or atopic dermatitis). He/she will also provide expert opinion to the other projects of the team, and will share responsibility of junior staff training/coaching. Finally, he/she will be in charge of writing research publications and make oral communications at international meetings. Qualification A PhD in immunology. At least 5 years of relevant postdoctoral experience. Previous experience working on vaccinology will be an asset. Expertise in the application of various technologies, e.g. gene and protein microarray, qrt-pcr, flow cytometry, microscopy techniques or immunohistochemistry. Demonstrated high productivity as evidenced by first or senior author in peer reviewed publications. Strong motivation, leadership, autonomy, and team work are essential. Excellent knowledge of English. French language is not mandatory. English-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply. II) Post doc: Mission The post doctoral fellow will conduct a project exploring the pathophysiology of drug allergies (exanthema, toxic epidermal necrolysis ). He/she will notably characterize in patients the nature of cells that mediate those pathologies to identify future diagnosis biomarkers. Along with these studies, he/she will also develop new experimental models of drug allergy in mice. Qualification A PhD in immunology. Excellent laboratory skills in relation to manipulation of human biological samples. Experience in analysis of T/NK cell response and flow cytometry. Knowledge and practise in molecular biology and biochemistry will be an asset. Ability to carry out collaborative works with clinicians. Prioritise and organise workload efficiently. Excellent knowledge of English. Young scientists highly motivated to develop successful translational research in humans are encouraged to apply.
