Endocardites infectieuses L endocardite reste une affection grave: 15 à 20% des EI nécessitent une hospitalisation en réanimation, essentiellement du fait de complications hémodynamiques et/ou neurologiques Recours à une chirurgie cardiaque dans 25% à 50% des cas Mortalité initiale comprise entre 10 et 25% Taux de survie à 5 ans = 50 à 60% Taux de survie à 10 ans = 35 à 40 %
