2 Information sur le projet Titre: Code Projet: Année: 2011 Type de Projet: Statut: Accroche marketing: The English Speaking Sports world FR1-LEO Projets de transfert d'innovation Accordé FR-France Le monde sportif évolue dans un contexte qui s internationalise (augmentation du nombre de compétitions internationales, multiplications des stages à l étranger, transferts de joueurs) et dans lequel la langue d échange est essentiellement l anglais. Du fait de l ouverture des frontières et sous l égide du droit communautaire, de plus en plus de contrats sont négociés à l étranger. C est pourquoi le personnel sportif (entraîneurs, cadres sportifs, manageurs, athlètes et sportifs, étudiants, arbitres, juges, médecins du sport, chercheurs, enseignants, dirigeants sportifs, kinésithérapeutes, préparateurs physique, préparateurs mental, organisateurs d évènements sportifs) a besoin de connaissances pour s adapter au contexte international. Pour l arbitrage des compétitions internationales ou pour être élus au sein des institutions internationales il faut comprendre l anglais et pouvoir bien s exprimer. Proposer des formations en anglais adaptées à la réalité des métiers est nécessaire pour une remise à niveau en anglais, pour susciter l envie d apprendre et permettre d acquérir un vocabulaire technique. Résumé: L objectif du programme était d enrichir les formations en anglais proposées à destination du public sportif en les complétant par une méthode innovante d apprentissage de l anglais technique du sport (ATS). La démarche consiste à utiliser, dans un premier temps, la vidéo comme moyen de mettre en valeur la spécificité des situations professionnelles rencontrées et le langage technique associé au cours des pratiques sportives. Le fait de partir des situations filmées en contexte permet de faciliter dans un second temps la compréhension. Enfin, en utilisant une variété d exercices e-learning (quiz ; jeu de rôle, dictée) l apprenant s entraîne à son rythme, et peut plus facilement acquérir le vocabulaire spécifique, travailler sa prononciation, sa rédaction, sa maîtrise des règles de grammaire. En améliorant les formations proposées, le partenariat enrichit les compétences des personnels sportifs tout en proposant un dispositif de formation commun aux pays partenaires. Il entend démontrer l importance de la maîtrise de l anglais dans un domaine économique en constante expansion, où le partage des connaissances et des informations est très recherché. Description: Thèmes: Sectors: Types de Produit: Ce projet a débouché sur la création d un dispositif de formation à destination des organismes en charge de la formation du public cible, c est-à-dire les universités en charge du sport, les fédérations, les centres sportifs (publics ou privés), le Comité International Olympique. Ce dispositif comprend un outil d apprentissage de l ATS et un guide méthodologique qui permet au public d acquérir plus facilement la maîtrise de l ATS. L impact attendu est d informer l ensemble des organismes de formation en sport, de l existence du dispositif, d œuvrer à l utilisation effective de celui-ci et d accroître la qualité de l enseignement de l ATS des structures. It is the fruit of a two-year European project which enabled the identification of needs linked to the learning of English related to sport. The tool, which is available in five languages, Bulgarian, French, German, Hungarian and Portuguese, is aimed at a wide public of sport professionals such as coaches, sport managers, athletes and sport participants, students, referees, judges, medical doctors, physiotherapists, scientists, teachers, physical/strength conditioning coaches and event organisers. Description: In this tool, the main professional situations encountered by sport professionals have been staged to enable them to work more efficiently. The videos and the activities proposed are based on specific themes encountered in daily situations or in competition in Table tennis. The exercises aim primarily at improving the skills related to oral comprehension, speaking while perfecting pronunciation, vocabulary, fluency, and autonomy which are indispensable to work efficiently on the international sporting scene. In this respect, the innovative aspect of this tool is to offer a range of different accents (American, English, Australian, Scottish, South African etc.) which will help the learner to get used to a multiplicity of the English Language. Cible: Different target users were identified: - Amateur and professional athletes - Sports professionals, coaches and trainers ; exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, biomechanists, nutritionists, dieticians, sports medical doctors, human kinesiologists, animators, masseurs, sport instructors (in skiing or moutaineering for instance) - English teachers involved in sport environments - University lecturers (involved in Erasmus students programmes) - Researchers/scientists (in training and sport, physical education, sport sociology, psychology, management, and history) - University students in PE and sport - Secondary school children - Interpreters, translators, terminologists, or librarians involved in sport environments - Administrative staff working in sport environments - Sports media professionals (journalists, editors, and media students) - Sports organisers of European/international competitions/tournaments - Sports international representatives at boards of directors of European/Olympic/international institutions - Sports advisors in European bodies - Supporters and spectators - Sports National and International federations Résultat: 15 pedagogical sequences More than 30 hours of e-learning 45 videos in English about the world of sport More than 100 interactive exercises including correction and sound recording 1000 technical terms with recorded pronunciation 15 grammar rules with examples taken from a sporting context &prd=2 11
